CBS: No Anti-War speeches @ Grammys

I know Dennis Miller is a big Bush fan. Miller > Garaffalo
  3. Cawthon- that show was not in Buffalo. It was at MSG. Do you want the full results cause I remember most of the card Sure, just e-mail me. Thinking back, I should have caught that. I believe a reader of my site sent me that info.

    Bobby Hennan on Fox News

Well he's still fighting / recovering from throat cancer. His voice was completely different.

    The Draft

As I asked in another thread, after 9/11 - where do personal liberties end and personal security begin? Until I see that the Patriot Act directly intrudes on my personal liberties, I don't have a problem with it. But the day that Ashcroft breaks down the door of my apartment and has me strip searched I'll have a stronger opinion on the matter.

Can't forget Heston's NRA replacement - Magnum PI (or Tom Selleck if you want to call him that). As far as "if they were leaning on the right, you guys wouldn't call them stupid celebrities for speaking their mind" - well I have no problem with someone speaking their mind. I do, however, have a problem with celebrities like Barbara Streisand that - rather than protest or offer well-thought alternatives - preach anti-Republicanism, anti-Bush, and anti-war like each one was a creation of the Devil.

    The Draft

Although there are points to be made on each side of the story, if I were leading troops into battle - I would much prefer to command people that actually wanted to be there. Soldiers that don't want to be there become a liability for everyone else.
  8. Any of the TiT Invitational matches that led up to the No Mercy 99 ladder match. Those were all great. One is on the Best of Raw Vol. 1 & 2 DVD.

    The Draft

There's a big difference between capability and being stupid enough to do all that. North Korea wants help from the U.S. They won't get any if they go around launching missiles and blowing up allies - they know that and we know that. This is them wanting attention, nothing more.

    Bobby Hennan on Fox News

*raises hand* I am responsible for referring to CNN as the Communist News Network. It seemed funny at the time. See, Communist starts with a 'C' ... News starts with an 'N' ... and Network starts with an 'N'. Fits together pretty nicely. And don't take what I say too personally. I'm just playing around.

    Bobby Hennan on Fox News

    From what I remember.
  12. Back on topic. No she doesn't. War sucks. War kills people, sure. I don't want to come across as pro-war - but I do see it as something that is periodically necessary. Without war, we would still be under British rule. Without war, the Confederacy would still be around. Without war, everyone in Europe would know German as a first language. Without war, communism - and all things aligned with communism like the death of thousands upon thousands under the rule of communist countries - would still be a powerful entity and threat. In regard to war and America, the result of war has made our lives and our world a better place.

Well Republicans in Hollywood are about as easy to find as bigfoot. There's Arnold, there's Freddie Prinze Jr. ... and ... ?

CBS: No Anti-War speeches @ Grammys

Why would it make you laugh? I don't find the potential war funny at all. It's not the war that I would laugh at - it's the idiotic statements by these artists that live in a fantasy world where they see America as the big bad. Sean Penn, Madonna, and Sheryl Crow don't know good foreign policy from their overpriced lunch. Using the claim that war will kill thousands of innocents to keep America out of Iraq is recidulous. Guess how many thousands upon thousands will die if we don't do something? Apparently it's okay for a tyrant to kill his people as long as America doesn't kill a few of those people by accident while leading the others to safety.

    The Draft

There won't be a draft. On the other hand, I don't know about the legitimacy of that claim. The real question is - is North Korea worth going to war with? I'm all about taking Saddam out of power by any means necessary. But North Korea just seems to be the ignored little child who is doing everything in their power to get attention from the U.S. "Oh oh, look at us United States! We have big bomb! We blow you up if you don't give us food and money. Give us food and money ... pwease "
  16. We're going after Saddam because he has been a threat to America (to a degree) since the Gulf War, can easily pass on his little toys (which he does have) to others who want us all dead, preaches hate and death to all Americans, and practices genocide. Oh yeah, he's also failed to follow the terms of his surrender in the 12 years since the Gulf War. He also shoots at American aircraft on a daily basis (another violation of his surrender) and, in over a decade, was only able to shoot down a small unmaned surveilance plane. I'm not a big fan of potential loss of liberties either. No one is. And I believe there are more than enough gung-ho Constitutionalists out there who will literally wage war on DC if they feel the government is walking all over them. That's why I'm not overly concerned about the issue. The goal of every presidency is to win reelection. Bush knows that threatening personal freedom will not get him another 4 years - that's why he won't do it (not that I'm sure he wants to). 9/11 fucked up a lot of things. Where do personal liberties end and personal safety begin?

    Great Wrestling Promos

All Warrior's promos were incoherent babbly crap ... which made him the funniest man ever in wrestling. The WWF should have promoted a Warrior dictionary so one could understand what the hell came out of his mouth and learn how to cut their own Warrior promo.

    Damn. That was good.

O'Reilly to do segment on Hennig

lol Well I've heard O'Reilly call himself such, haven't heard the same first hand from Colmes. Not saying it's not true, I would just think Fox would look to find a stronger liberal to match with Hannity.
  20. This is my incomplete show results from that time. Not sure if this is what you're looking for. Refresh my memory - why was it called Smackdown Extreme? WWF @ Buffalo, NY - June 26, 2001 Smackdown!: Albert pinned WWF IC Champion Kane to win the title WWF Tag Team Champions the Dudley Boyz fought Matt & Jeff Hardy to a no contest

O'Reilly to do segment on Hennig

Now if Colmes was a moderate, why would Fox put him on a debate-format show with Sean Hannity - who happens to be a strong conservative? The basis for the show is that they aren't supposed to agree on much. Conflict = ratings
  22. Actually he refutes that just about every day on his radio and TV show.

CNN omits sections from Blix's report

Wait wait wait.. They were swerving it so that the reader had a favorable impression of the war, and you're ragging on them for being too left? *Hangs head in corner* I can't read or write...
  24. And I have to say, "LOL." I mean, cmon, they market the Weekly Standard, a Conservative rag. They know who their audience is. And several of their on-air personalities also regularly appear on NPR, the PBS of radio.
