Heard it might have been Crpl. Kirschner.

DAMNIT! I was pushing for "Love is a Battlefield" by Pat Benetar

Jameson was your average nice guy that can't stand up for himself (and wasn't big on personal appearance either). He was a semi-regular on Prime Time where Heenan would always make fun of him. Then during a TV taping in the later part of 91, he sat front row ringside and was harrassed by the Beverly Brothers and the Genius. The Bushwhackers made the save and that set up their Royal Rumble 92 bout. Jameson was in the Bushwhackers' corner for the match and afterwards kicked the Genius in the shin (since he couldn't punch the guy). I think I can paraphrase some of his groundbreaking inspirational ringside sayings: "Hey referee ... that's not fair ... he's not being fair!" (goes back to picking his nose) "Yay!" (goes back to picking his nose) ...You get the point.

I haven't seen it myself. Only the world title, the hogpen, and the casket match were included on Winter Combat here in the states. I know Sid did the clean job to Razor via a bulldog off the top. Right after, Sid & the Kid were pushed as top contenders to the tag belts ... just to have Sid leave the company for 6 months.

Oh ... my ... god ... That's for the news item itself and the enthusiasm; mostly just the enthusiasm.
-
Didn't mean to piss anyone off - I think everyone on the Buffy thread already knew so I didn't see the harm.
-
Yep, that's the one. Razor / Jannetty vs. Sid / Kid Ahmed vs. Buddy Landell (sub. for Douglas) Taker vs. Mabel - casket match Godwinn vs. Helmsley - hogpen match Bret vs. Bulldog Both the world title match and the hogpen match were shown on Raw a few weeks later to counter Nitro - which I'm sure pissed a lot of those paying PPV viewers off.

I think enough people know by now that this isn't much of a spoiler. Eliza is doing 2 episodes for Angel - most likely it involves her going up against Angelus. Then she'll go over to Buffy for the last 5 episodes of the season / series. There's been talk of her getting her own spinoff once Buffy is off the air.

Same here in the Roanoke area. It was preempted by about two hours due to lame ass basketball.
-
Those cage matches were non-title. I think there might have been one that actually was for the title - but Flair won that.
-
Is that the bout from Japan?
-
Actually the movie has a few future-Buffy players. Amber Benson, Eliza, and that evil professor woman from season 4 (the one that Riley works for). And surprise, she plays the part of an angry bitch ex-wife.

I use Kazaa quite a bit. WinMX tends to freeze up my computer from time to time. Although, I'd say that WinMX has a better assortment of matches.

Long-time Buffy watcher, just recently got into Angel because of all the hype going into the end of both seasons. Last night's episode was good, previous week's was awesome. I liked the Faith reference (please show up next episode! please show up next episode!). So...from what I can tell, Gunn plays the guy that's perpetually pissed off? Hmm, he's like Xander but without charm or wit.

The match is great by itself. What makes it even better is the commentary. "I heard Piper used to come home from school and find his parents had moved!" "WILL YOU GIVE ME A BREAK!" "What the hell, use the bell!"
-
2003 called. It said 1997 is over. Seriously, the fact that Hogan went over midway through the match - fast count or not - wasn't the brightest booking decision. It would have been much better for Bret just to pull Patrick out of the ring before the 3-count - then punch him out and take over.

The reason for her hex was because she was jealous of Willow's power? Um ... hello ... YOU WERE A RAT FOR 3 YEARS! That's reason enough. Bloody great episode last night. I was right about Giles - although even I was unsure of where Joss was going considering once the Scoobies found out about him there was an ubersinister shot of Giles at the campfire ("I shall have them all tonight. ...But why couldn't Kennedy come? She's the hottest of the bunch!") I'm loving the references to the previous seasons. The Initiative from 4, the school from 3, the conversation about Angel that went back to 'Becomming Part 2', all the incarnations of the First. As long as we don't see Riley on camera... Take the chip out. Let's have some fun. He has his soul, it's not like he's going to go around snacking on people ... or will he?
-
Another way of saying he's boring.
-
The contract story is true. What happened before Bret re-signed? He drops the IC title to a guy few could forsee being champion ... and then a few days later at MSG he jobs to the Undertaker. What happened when he did re-sign? WrestleMania VIII.
-
And I thought it was just the name of a bad movie... Apparently it's also the title of Triple H's wet dream where he gets to pretend it's 1985 and he keeps main eventing the Greensboro Coliseum.
-
I totally agree with that. Giles and Willow both knew something big and bad was coming - it would make sense for him to protect himself given the severity of the situation. ...But the fact that it hasn't been proven one way or the other bothers me (damn you, Joss ... damn you). I guess we find out tonight.

Gotta go with B. You need people to watch before you can push the lesser known talent.
-
"SI SENOR BISCHOFF!!!!!" "YO SOY EL GAME-O!!!!" I actually tried playing with the audio so I could listen to the rest of the show in Spanish. It's like Univision ... only instead of the weird looking puppets, we've got Triple H.
-
Triple H - "There can be only one!" *cuts off the heads of Jericho, RVD, Booker, Steiner, and anyone else stopping him from renaming RAW to GAME*

What, no True Lies option? Yeah, I know that's even pre-Bye Bye Love (which wasn't so bad, IMO) so I suppose I'm a sickie. But there is nothing wrong with a then-15 year old guy falling in love with a then-16 year old girl via movie (okay, so there is something wrong ... I was just talking age-wise). Hey, if Alyson Hannigan is taken then I have to look elsewhere...
