    Most Disturbing Movie Moments

For those of you who have seen the Jay & Silent Bob DVD, the deleted scene in which they get high in the rip-off Mystery Machine and imagine Scooby getting a hard on.

    Gambit & Rogue

I'm completely out of the loop. I lost interest back in early 95 when they had the storyline where Prof. X was killed off in the past before he could form the X-Men and really haven't gotten back into it. From what I can tell, things have gone downhill.

    Best Songs from Movies

'Save Me' is classic. Haven't seen Magnolia in a while. I'll add 'Miss Misery' by Elliot Smith from Good Will Hunting.

Republicans wouldn't have to pull something like that to win an election. The Dems are desperate and it's obvious. At least Streisand wasn't there. If you've been paying attention, the Dems have been politicising everything as of late. "Oh forget about that war thing, pay attention to the economy cause that's the only thing that is going to keep our guys in office! Wow, our president sucks so bad, look at how bad the economy is ... but forget about the fact that it started going down when Clinton was still in office."

    Wrestling DVD's

I agree with the Best of Raw. The DVDs include a ton of extra segments and full matches (even though the dates given are in some cases way off). The Best of Cactus Jack in ECW is good also. Covers almost everything in Mick's ECW career from spring of 94 through his final match against Mickey Whipwreck. All the matches, from what I remember, are shown in full and it includes some hilarious promos (pro-Bischoff stuff, "I'm hardcore!", etc). About 3:30 - 4hrs.
  7. 10/30/90 – The Rockers win the tag team titles from the Hart Foundation in a Best 2 out of 3 falls match during a TV taping in Ft. Wayne, IN. The titles were later returned after the top rope broke off in mid-match and Vince McMahon felt it couldn’t be aired. Shawn Michaels & Marty Jannetty did defend their gold several times over the following days before the titles were returned. 10/30/97 – The Undertaker teamed up with Dude Love to defeat World Champion Bret Hart & Jim Neidhart in the main event of a show held in Baharain, Saudi Arabia. The undercard saw the Headbangers and Godwinns trade singles matches, Ken Shamrock defeat Billy Gunn, and tag champs the Legion of Doom held off the challenge of the Rock & Farooq.

    Dream Bret Hart WWF DVD

December 1987- Bret Hart vs. Shawn Michaels Are you sure about the date on that? I know they had one TV match when they were tag wrestlers; I think it was sometime in 89 or 90. Ended in a draw. I'd like to see the Bret Hart / Yokozuna match from Toronto a few weeks before WrestleMania XI, the MSG match against the Undertaker in February 92, the Headlock on Hunger MSG match with him against Bam Bam Bigelow, and I know the Harts had a cage match against the Bulldogs in Calgary (Harts were champs). I would be the first in line if this was ever released.

    Dream Bret Hart WWF DVD

It was Wrestlefest 91. I'm fairly certain it took place in Las Vegas a day or two after WrestleMania VII.

    Five Greatest Album Openers, Ever

Tom Petty - Free Fallin (Full Moon Fever) Don Henley - The End of the Innocence (same) U2 - Where the Streets Have No Name (The Joshua Tree) Mary-Chapin Carpenter - The Hard Way (Come On Come On) Sarah McLachlan - Possession (Fumbling Towards Ecstasy)

If you could recommend one album

I'd go with that. Not a huge jazz fan but that's quality work. As far as relaxing mood music goes, I have to go with either Enya 'Shepard Moons' or the soundtrack to Braveheart.

    Your Five Favorite Anything

I had the good fortune to be at the opening concert of the Elevation Tour in Miami. That was the night they debuted the new version of "The Fly." The extended intro had us all so confused and enchanted at the same time, and when the opening riff dropped in, the place went absolutely nuts. Standing 10 feet away from the stage while all that happened around me was probably one of the most transcendent moments I've experienced. They must tour again...mmm... Yes, I'm adding to a conversation that ended 3 months ago... Best U2 live performances (which I'm sure are all available via Kazaa): "With or Without You" - Tempe, AZ; Arizona State University; 1987 ... featured on 'Rattle and Hum'. 12 years later, my dorm was directly across the street from Sun Devil Stadium ... I was so close to going! "Bad" - London England; Wembley Stadium; Live Aid (1985) ... a good 12-minute opus to end their set (?) ... included bits from the Rolling Stones' 'Sympathy for the Devil' and Lou Reed's 'Walk on the Wild Side'. "Peace on Earth / Walk On" - Tribute to Heroes Telethon; 9/21/01 ... started a little slow but ended up being incredibly emotional ... hey, I cried a little ... backup singers = awesome "One" - Baltimore Arena; 10/19/01 ... I went to this show and actually found a copy of it on eBay back in December ... Bono starts out by talking about how back in the 70s and 80s, friends and famliy of the band that went to mainland Britain were beaten just because they had an Irish accent (as revenge for the terrorist bombings in the UK). Which leads him to saying that we shouldn't place blame on a set group for the actions of a few ... "The Koran is a beautiful book and the people that follow Islam are beautiful people and they have nothing to do with these religious lunatics. My favorite line from the Koran - 'He is close to god who makes his friends laugh'." A perfect lead in to 'One' - as a list of the passengers and crew onboard the 3 downed planes on 9/11 are shown in the background. I'm aware I'm supposed to pick 5 songs ... I guess I'm just a born rebel.

What do you think of the following ALBUMS?

What's the Story (Morning Glory)? - Oasis - Decent. Wonderwall and Champagne Supernova are still very much playable but I don't know about most of the other tracks. Dookie - Green Day - Very much 8th grade for me but something I could listen to in its entirety and still enjoy, unlike so much other music that came out during that time (the whole grunge scene for example). Spice - Spice Girls - Surprisingly I still have that. I was in love with Ginger for about two years in high school. Overall pretty decent but it hasn't been in my stereo for a VERY long time.

That's another great pick. I think that makes up for about the last half hour of the flim.

Buffy The Vampire Slayer: Season 7

They are already showing reruns this early in the season? Blasphamy! Don't know if anyone is aware but FX is going to have a Buffy Marathon on Thanksgiving Day. You can vote via the website on which episodes you want to be featured. Unfortunately, there are only three picks per person. I chose Passions (Season 2 where Angel kills Ms. Calendar; just saw that earlier today on DVD...great episode), The Gift (Season 6 where Buffy kills herself to save the world), and the Christmas episode from Season 3 where Angel tries to kill himself via daylight but it snows for the first time ever in Sunnydale.

    Best DVD out there

I second the Jay & Silent Bob vote, as well as any other Kevin Smith movie. Even the Clerks cartoon DVD set has a ton of stuff, considering it only ran 6 episodes.

    Best Monologue

"I am William Wallace ... and I see a whole army of my countrymen here in defiance of tyranny. You have come to fight as free men, and free men you are. What will you do without freedom? Will you fight? ... Ay, fight and you may die - run and you'll live ... at least a while. And dying in your beds, many years from now, would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance JUST ONE CHANCE to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take our lives ... but they will never take our FREEDOM!" - Braveheart The spiel about how if Matt Damon is still working construction when he's 50 and going over to Ben Affleck's house to watch Patriots games Affleck would kick his ass. - Good Will Hunting Of course I'm biased because those are my two favorite movies...

The one & only War On Terror thread

War, what is it good for? That's easy. It's good for keeping peace when bloodthirsty dictators have control of numerous weapons of mass destruction (I know, overused phrase) and intend to use them even if it means they themselves would be killed in the process. Can't negotiate with insane people. It's better just to kill them and get it over with.

    Paul Wellstone Tribute

Yeah but you can't put much faith into those pops because MN fans cheer for anyone. All Mondale had to do was say "It's great to be back at ... THE UNIVERSITY OF MINNISOTA!" (waits for Foley-ish cheap pop)

    Elimination Chamber announced

Hopefully this will be the highlight of Survivor Series and the match itself... Triple H: "Ow, my quad!!!!" *falls down, dies* Or, if the WWE took place in Fantasy Land ... I could see Vince McMahon being Russo and telling Triple H that he can take his belt, go home, stay there, and we would be promised that that "piece of shit" would never again be on WWE TV (ala Russo/Hogan). But again, that's only in Fantasy Land.
