"The summerslam you'd thought you'd never see"
cawthon777 replied to Vanhalen's topic in General Wrestling
That would be correct. -
I think he might have but it was so short lived that no one noticed.
-
I appreciate the note.

Ok so this is how we enter the ring to show off all of the goods.........make sure to bend over slightly to showoff the BUTT. Rheingans was an amateur champion and is still highly respected within pro wrestling. IIRC, he was a decent draw in the AWA. So I don't think he's going to teach her how to bend over so that the camera gets the best shot of her cleavage.

Amazon has it for pre-order at the moment (listed release date is July 7) ... so if anyone already has it ... I'd be interested to know how.
-
It might be true but, from personal experience, I wouldn't put 100% faith into what the Wrestleview FAQ says.

And if you want to get sappy, "Time of your Life" by Green Day. -
Amazon.com has it for $17 and change. Try this link. The book looks like quality but the cover is pretty amateur in appearance.

The Article that cost Luger the WWF Belt
cawthon777 replied to cawthon777's topic in General Wrestling
It was a she. I think that's just how gossip writers write. Like they know something no one else does and they feel special because of it. They don't take into consideration the fact that only 5% of the pepole that read the newspaper actually care what they have to say. -
3. Benoit and ... 6. Regal? 7. double underhook suplex?
-
IIRC, it did have a pretty solid Benoit / Saturn vs. DDP / Kanyon ... or was it Bam Bam. Whoever was running WCW at the time sure got off on splitting up good tag teams and switching the partners around.
-
Yep, I remember that as well. It's been added.
-
Good call. Stuff like that happens a lot when I get to typing too fast and put my brain on auto pilot.

Officially Arn ended it at Slamboree 95 but Wright had lost his fair share of house show matches (mostly before his TV debut from what I gather) and TV taping bouts prior to then.

Faves Flair / Funk and Sting / Muta from 89 The 87 Bash video The tag tourney from 92 The 1990 version ... from Sting / Flair to Doom / RnR to Southern Boys / ME The crowd collectively shitting on the 1991 show since Flair had been fired "Deys gots ta get some relief in daeh! Tony, he's gonna put his head in da toilet!" ... 96 was pretty solid as an overall, same with 97 IMO Not so much faves The actual PPV of Bash 91 ... it might be worthy of a drinking game but you would pass out a half hour into the show Bash 95 in Pillman's backyard and he puts over Alex FREAKING Wright ... even after Wright had lost the undefeated streak Benoit loses to Booker in 98 and kills the crowd in the process The labotomy that was GAB 99. Pop the tape in and 3 hours later you come out looking like the non Charleton Heston astronauts from Planet of the Apes.

I'm kinda surprised no one has started one up by now but I'm wondering what kind of interest there would be for an NWA / WCW results site similar to my own which covers the W/WWF/E. By no means am I offering to do it myself (I'm busy enough as it is) but I would be happy to help lay a foundation for whoever shows the drive and initiative to put a site together. I have a truck load of results from magazines, Observers, tapes, and the like and - given some free time - would be willing to share. Anyone? Bueller?

The Article that cost Luger the WWF Belt
cawthon777 replied to cawthon777's topic in General Wrestling
I take that part if the piece with a grain of salt. What would have happened in that scenario, logically speaking, was to have Perfect screw Luger out of the belt but I don't think Bret would have been involved in the screwing. -
