I was going off memory on that one. If anyone has seen that match since it aired live (I haven't) and can correct the finish, feel free to do so.

The reason that I've heard enough times to regard it as somewhat credible was that Jarrett was angry with the WWF for portraying him as someone who couldn't sing (the whole lip synching issue with the Road Dogg and "With my Baby Tonight"). Road Dogg left at the same time and didn't come back until fall 1996. I'm guessing both of their contracts were up and neither was happy with the plans the WWF had for them (ie a match at Summer Slam for one).

According to Michaels himself, he never was that interested in going to WCW - take it for what it's worth. As stated earlier, he credited his suspension with being a result of failing a drug test. Whether he was negotiating with WCW or not, being off TV for a month is reason enough to strip him of the title. As far as the superkick issue, he used it off and on as far back as early 1993, and even earlier as a setup to the back suplex. On the first Raw, he beat Max Moon with the move ... then beat Crush with it at the first KOTR ... etc. I don't recall any one match from 93 in which Michaels used the back suplex to win. Actually, in the buildup to Summer Slam 93 and the match with Mr. Perfect, I remember Shawn using a variety of finishers against jobbers - including a flying clothesline and the piledriver. The flying clothesline came into play in the PPV match when Perfect turned it into an arm drag. ...Why do people care what Scott Keith has to say?

That would be Chi-Town Rumble? SuperBrawl didn't start until 91. Chi-Town was commercially released, I have it. -

Try it now. Apparently it wasn't fixed yesterday, just accessible. So I called Angelfire again this morning. It's fixed now.
-
I believe Yoko was responsible for ending Greg Gagne's career in the AWA, IIRC. Most likely kayfabed.
-
Everything is saved on my harddrive so I'm good either way. I'm considering moving to another server in the near future; Angelfire is irritating me with their lack of bandwidth and the whole taking money from my bank account issue doesn't help their case.

Had to check around a bit but you're right - I just have absolutely no recollection of it. Dated January 5, 1995 - The WWF has already fired Charlie Minn, replacing him with Stephanie Wiand and Tamara Murphy (Tammy Fytch from SMW). Tamara is doing a straight announcing role, but there is talk that she'll eventually get worked into a heel managing spot. http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&...on.uwaterloo.ca
-
So I'm guessing you didn't like 1990 when Mr. Perfect said he was Number 30? Or tonight when - I'm guessing - Mark Henry gets that spot.
-
In 1990, Dibiase drew #1. In 1989, he bought #30 from - I believe - either Akeem or the Bossman. Flair didn't give away his number on the Funeral Parlour. He said he drew #3 on the CHV version of the Rumble when interviewed by Lord Alfred. No one in the arena or at home saw that interview.

I'm having flashbacks to the Al Snow & Head vs. Too Much from KOTR 98 ... Brian Christopher attaches Head to a bottle of Head & Shoulders for the pin Priceless!
-
I can see Zach being tossed with JR screaming "One foot ... one foot ... one ... foot" ala Vince with HBK in 95 ... then Zach hobbles back into the ring lol
-
That might be it. I remember this question being asked on another thread and that was the answer given, IIRC.
-
The only way to pull that off was if the underdog (not jobber) had a VERY early number (say #1) and lasted the entire match (say Chris Benoit).

Noooooooooooooooooooo, it is definately not her. This woman actually has a brain. The only participation Shear had with the WWF, IIRC, was 1) appearing at WrestleMania X, 2) doing a photo shoot with HBK for WWF Magazine when the two were "dating" in 93 ( ), and 3) being on hand for a pre-WrestleMania X house show in Anaheim (some footage was used for a pre-WM X edition of Up All Night ... I have a fan cam of the show).
