MLB: 1. Make the National League adopt the DH. I don't think this will stop smallball - look at the Angels. I think it will add a little more excitement because the hitter is less likely to be an automatic out than the majority of pitchers are. 2. The All-Star Game will count no more. It's an exhibition so the fans can see the best players in the game and should not count for anything other than that. Best record will determine home-field advantage for the World Series. I'd even go a step further and allow the fans to vote for the starting pitcher. 3. Install Questec in all ballparks.

I believe it was Dave O'Brien and Sutcliffe calling the game. Congrats, Barry. I'm not really excited over it. I was watching more to say I saw it than being excited over it. At least he did it in the one place where he would be cheered. Barry is also 83 hits away from 3,000 - does he play one more year? So who's hotter, Glavine's wife or Bonds' daughter?

Definitely back as UCLA. -
Kent, Drew, Martin and Anderson - the last two off Trevor Hoffman. Nomar hit a walk-off HR in the 10th to win it.

I've been thinking about reading it again. Great book. Nice look into the world of fantasy baseball. It's funny what he does to encourage his players.

Since someone has to... '27 Yankees

Obviously you gotta hit the Strip...you'll be kind of in the middle with Harrah's - next to Bellagio, Caesar's Palace, Wynn and the Flamingo. Bellagio has the water show every ten minutes, T.I.'s pirate show runs every hour or so. I like the southern end of the Strip with MGM Grand, NY/NY, Excalibur, Luxor and Mandalay Bay. There's Stratosphere if you want to go on "the world's highest roller coaster". Downtown has the Fremont Street Experience...basically it's a pedestrian mall that has live entertainment. Check websites and see who's headlining...my brother and I were able to see David Copperfield at the MGM Grand last time we went. Most of the casinos also have some kind of show going on. If you like nature Red Rock Canyon is about an hour or so (not sure) from Las Vegas, and Lake Mead is also about an hour or two away. There's also aerial tours of the Grand Canyon that get advertised at welcome centers.

I remember one Mora speech with him telling the press "you don't know. You think you know, but you DON'T KNOW." That was the one I remembered him by until the classic "playoff" speech.

Maybe even Green Bay if Favre does indeed retire. The Pack isn't incredibly impressed with Aaron Rodgers, though he seems like he might be good enough. Schaub would be a good insurance policy, especially since he's already familiar with Jeff Jagodzinski, Green Bay's offensive coordinator who was the offensive line coach for Atlanta before this season. Jagodzinski is on his way to Boston College to become their head coach.

No kidding. Show me something I can use, not another Real World ripoff.

Alomar's one of the best second basemen of all time. His two black marks are the sudden decline after the trade to the Mets, and the John Hirshbeck spitting incident. Barring that, he has been a member of two World Series winners and several playoff teams, was a great offensive and defensive player (10 Gold Gloves), and has made 12 All-Star teams. He was considered to be the best second baseman in baseball throughout his career, and has good stats - even though the decline curbed his chances for 3,000 hits. I think Alomar will be and should be a first ballot HOFer, but I'm curious to see if the spitting incident comes into play.
