I love the polls. My team (preseason #1) goes through a brutal schedule (A+) with 5 teams who spent some time in the top 5 and stomps them all, including a 56-14 beatdown of Colorado (an abberation though, my QB couldn't miss the long bombs and CU insisted on blitzing their safties all game). The reward? A #2 ranking below a USC team that played all of 2 teams in the top 25 (Cal and UCLA I believe). Not only that, but it's almost impossible to be a runaway #1. Some other program will end up with 20-25 1st place votes. Now in the preseason I have A+ Overall, Offense and Defense with an A Special Teams, and they rank me 3rd. The game media's voting is almost as rediculous as the real thing.

I would love it if she made it to the E. I can see her in the locker room with her laptop printing out the hate some people get around here. We'd never hear the end of HHH's "internet guys are all losers!" rants. She could be their own little mole into the internet. Shit if I were 10 years younger I would've thought about trying to get into wrestling. Probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere since I'm not quite "HOSS~!" level, but still would've been fun trying.

I've actually managed to return both a punt and a kickoff for a touchdown. I have no idea how I did it. Kind of just picked a direction and prayed. But yeah, most punt returns end up lasting about 3 or 4 steps.

I was there, SmackDown was first and it went till about 8:45 or so and then they got ready for Raw. It also pretty much gave it away that Batista wouldn't be winning the ECW title, since he taped a match on Monday that was airing on Friday where he didn't appear with the world title, then he is fighting for it the next day, before said SD match even airs on TV. Not like a switch was going to happen anyway, but it's fun to suspend disbelief. I don't know why the crowd seemed so dead then. Looked a helluva lot more enjoyable than this week's RAW.

With a name like "Elijah Burke" I expect to see the lost Blu brother. Missed last week's SD so I'm interested in seing what Terkay can do. Edit: OK, I guess Burke will do. Crowd seems kinda dead, but IIRC, this was on the back end of a supershow, wasn't it? I guess they were a bit burnt out.

They had "Beerfest" attached to Clerks 2 when I went to go see it. Looks like Broken Lizard fortunately went back to the "Super Troopers" style of slapsticky stupid humor rather than their recent mistakes (Club Dread, the release of Puddle Cruiser, etc.). I'm looking forward to it.

I grew up with the 80s stuff (Robotech espcially) but kinda went away from them. Started getting back into them a bit when the Robotech DVD sets were released, and I've picked up a few since then (Cowboy Bebop the Movie, finally saw Akira [wierd ass ending, but still good], the Macross OVA [great action sequences but the whole man vs. nature/animism debate sorta killed it for me]). Sci-Fi, surprisingly enough, wasn't really my favorite. For some reason, the romantic comedies appealed to me the most. I bought Saukra Diaries (cute work, nothing really strange except for the whole "cousins" thing and they never emphasize that so you tend to forget about it after a while) and recently dowloaded Love Hina (another "cute" one). Maybe I just like animes with loser heroes or something. Question: do the OVAs of Love Hina really not settle anything? The last episode (based on the fansubbing) really didn't resolve the central issue between Naru and Keitaro, and I would like to see everything wrapped up.

A Finlay/Regal Extreme Rules matchup with an ECW crowd would be pretty awesome. Build it up for a little bit, give them, say, 15-20 minutes and let them go. Start off with the chain wrestling and let it build to both of them swinging away with whatever came to hand.

I've become the new Quarterback U. My last three starting QBs have won the Heisman. My winner this year would've won last year if he hadn't gotten hurt late in the year, and even then I had my star WR finish 2nd in the balloting. This year's stats: 310-421, 3959 yards, 49 TDs, 14 INTs, 182.3 QB rating. He set the record for rating last year with a 199.4 rating (44-6 TD/INT ratio). Basically I've just started simming the regular seasons and playing the NC games, then recruiting (my favorite part of the game). About to make it my 5th championship in a row when I smoke USC again.

I'll say one thing for Show, he certainly is willing to go through tables if need be.

A fucking DQ in an ECW championship. Rediculous.
