    This week in the NBA

I think he was waiting for Artest to hit the bench.

More Future Endeavours - Dykstra, Lena, Elijah

It seems that Homicide has the same problem too on Myspace. http://www.myspace.com/demon374 Yeah, but I won't say that about Homicide. I, uh, have too much respect for his abilities as a wrestler. Or something.

I'm still trying to figure out why Meredith and Flint decide to leave Odessa for Houston to get to the Mexican border. Check a map guys, you're doing it wrong.

Ken had better hurry if he wants to have a match with Christian. He needs to read the boards more often. Why does he have the online grammar of a 13 year old girl?

Could they break out the kazoos once in a while just for old time's sake?

George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Fire and Ice"

Yeah just have Dany be 18 and make it so the Targeryans (or however it's spelled) marry, like, cousins or something. Brothers and sisters marrying is a bit too creepy. Then again, this is HBO we're talking about. They tend to be pretty flexible with their broadcasting.

    Gas Price Check...

For the area around my house, $1.75 is the cheapest I've seen. For everyday driving, I've seen it at $1.71.

    Joss Whedon's Dollhouse

Whedon's done enough good things that I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.

    Fallout 3

Yeah I just ran into that while doing the Reilly's Rangers quest. Unfortunately it was the daytime so it didn't look quite as incredible, but watching the Super Muties, Raiders, and Enclave troops go free for all was crazy. Then I walked in, fired off a couple of Fat Men, and wiped everything out. Good times, good times.

    Joss Whedon's Dollhouse

I wonder if they're going to make Joss show one of the midseason episodes and rivet on an "Oh by the way here's the cast" like he had to do with Firefly? BTW Ripper I think my favorite moment on Buffy is when Spike got his soul back and Buffy finds him in the mausoleum (I think it was) crazy as hell. When he embraces that cross and starts smoking, I was like "FUCK". Ever since then I've loved watching James Marsters work, even when he's stuck being Brainiac on Smallville.

    Goal line blitz

You guys oughta come over to the Western European Pro League if you get the chance. I've been here since my first day and it's a lot of fun and REAL competitive. Active board too.

    Fallout 3

Yeah it's open world but once you get into D.C. proper it's somewhat more linear. They really want you to hang around the metro. I had Dogmeat for a while, but the damn dog kept running in to too much trouble. I ended up with him and Paladin Cross, but as I'm heading out into the Wastelands I end up coming across a fight between a group of Raiders and 3 Giant Radscorpions. I try to go around the fight but one of the Raiders somehow spots me and EVERYTHING crashes down on my party. Dogmeat runs right towards the Radscorpions and gets killed in about 10 seconds. This is after a couple of earlier deaths for him, so I finally decide that man's best friend should know better, and I let him shuffle off his mortal coil. I wish there would have been an option for him to stay out of the fighting, but instead all you get is either "fight" or "meet me at the Vault". Kinda sucked.

    Fallout 3

BoS is in the Pentagon. You'll get there automatically if you follow the main quest to a certain point. I don't think they'll let you in before then. Main, I was all the way up to "Paragon of Humanity" or whatever it was and made one little mistake and it cost me a ton of karma. I went up to the Republic of Dave and accidentally pissed off Dave, so he gave me 1 hour to get out of town or he'd kill me. I left the building then went back in a few seconds later. Dave pulls a gun and shoots at me, so my follower (Paladin Cross) whacks his ass with a super sledge. That gets everyone on me. We fight our way out of town, killing only those who shoot at us first, but when I check my stats I'm back at neutral karma. Pissed me off. Self-defense should be a valid defense.

    Fallout 3

Leisurely working my way through it. Halfway through level 16 and still doing the odd side quest. Just helped lead a massacre of Tenpenny Tower, but it didn't hit my karma that badly, I'm still the equivalent of Jesus with a minigun. Got my power armor (which seems to get damaged way too easily and is expensive to fix since there aren't exactly suits to repair with just lying around) and just wandering the Wasteland trying to find as much stuff as possible. Going to find the other Vaults in the area since there are 3 (I think) that aren't storyline related. Still looking for all the bobbleheads more than anything. I've got 7 total right now. Hard to find since they're so damn easy to overlook. Also don't like how underpowered the energy guns are. The plasma rifle is ok but the laser pistol (even The Protector's Eye, a special one you get from The Machinist) is almost worthless. Usually just carry the 10mm machinegun or the Chinese assault rifle for everyday use, with the Terrible Shotgun for up close and dirty work. For really big nasties (the Super Mutants, Sentry Bots, etc.) I've got my choice of minigun, missle launcher, or the Fatman. Your encumberance really doesn't affect you that much, and you can carry a shitload of stuff since ammo and medicine doesn't weigh anything.

    Fallout 3

Yeah I did that for the first time when I decided to clear the slavers out of Paradise Falls while bobblehead hunting. I had 2 guys on me point blank as I went through a door and went into V.A.T.S while carrying the "Terrible Shotgun" combat shotgun I got from killing Smiling Jack in the Raider city. Targeted both their heads and watched the carnage ensue. Combined with the "Bloody Mess" perk, it was a regular blood shower. Lots of fun. Haven't done the Family quest. I'll get to it, I'm trying to do some of the side quests before moving on the main quest (I stopped before fixing Three Dog's radio dish since I head you can get some more stuff out of him than just info if you find out where your father is and rescue him before you fix the dish).

OK since the job site is closed today and I don't have any missions I've been playing Cupboard trying to get a perfect score. What is a perfect score? My highest is 12, and the only thing I can think of that I haven't done is but I can't figure out how to do that. Any ideas?

    Fallout 3

I'm going to do it next run thourgh when I go out to make an evil bastard character. It's hard staying in good karma. Too many things lying around begging to be picked up. It's not my fault people are absentminded!

Once you get all the pieces extract them and they should show up under the "Items" tab on the small window on the main character page.

I'm glad I bothered to extract the files my spider dug out of the forums. Some of them are pretty handy. Hit level 4 today and I think I'm pretty well equipped to handle level 4 and maybe 5 forums.

    Guitar Hero World Tour

Personally, I despise the open frets so far. It's like they took out almost all the chords and thought "Hmm, how can we make it harder? I know, let's add a 6th button! Wait, there isn't a 6th button? We'll figure it out." Maybe it's just because I'm not used to committing a cardinal sin and taking my fingers off the frets, but the open frets are constantly screwing me up. I was looking forward to "Hey Man Nice Shot" until I tried it and constantly got fucked up by them. Now it just seems like a chore.

    Fallout 3

Got it and playing it. Did small guns, repair, and medicine as my primary tags to get an early boost but I highly recommend working on lockpick and science early so you can get everything. That being said I love how you can get really good weapons early in the game if you follow the main mission to a certain point. My character is only level 6 and I've already gotten my hands on the combat shotgun (fun for head shots on VATS, enjoy the blood shower), the 10mm machine pistol, the missle launcher, the minigun, and the Fatman (throwing around mini nukes = fun fo the whole family). Once I get my power armor training I'm basically going to go around and explore everything since at that point I'll be fairly untouchable.

Everyone gets the same avatar as well? Ok then. Not bad so far (got the picture for the Japanese stereotype-that-isn't and the first 3 forums, gotta wait for my visits to refresh. Gives me a chance to start on Fallout 3.
