According to the Han Solo trilogy, Han (new graduate of the Imperial academy and TIE fighter pilot) ran into Chewie when Chewie was part of a slave labor group. From what I remember, Chewie turned on the group leader after being laser-whipped. Han saved him since he was raised by a Wookie and felt he owed a debt after the Wookie sacrificed herself to allow Han to escape from his taskmaster. Chewie escaped, Han was kicked out the Imperial Navy, losing all decorations and medals in the process except for the Corellian Bloodstripe award he was allowed to keep for an unknown act of bravery (it's the red stripe on his pants). Camo-clones were indeed cool. I wonder why the Empire lost the idea? Would have come in handy on Endor. Yoda was indeed straight pimpin'. Using your lightsaber as a javelin is awesome beyond words. The "NOOOOO" was cheesy, but I felt it worked for the scene. Anakin/DV is told that he killed his wife after struggling all this time and turning evil JUST so he could save her. It's a combination of his pain and his frustration at causing just what he was trying to stop. At least he got to destroy the medlab. I believe in the book that Palpatine admits that he was Plagueis' apprentice. All in all, I put it 2nd or 3rd behind ESB. Almost a dead heat with ANH. Fights were awesome, politics made sense, and Anakin/Padme was kept to a bare minimum ("I love you.""No, I love YOU" being a noteable exception). I'm hopefully going to see it Monday night. Best part is, a friend of a friend is closing the theater so it's going to be a private screening or sorts and we can bring in food and drinks. Beer and Star Wars in the theater! *thumbs up*

A few thoughts: Scrubs getting put on hold so that NBC can show "The Biggest Loser" and "My Name is Earl" is a fucking joke. I like Jason Lee and hope his show does well, but c'mon, don't pull one of the most originally funny shows off TV for it. Smallville's going to get slaughtered. Then it'll be "Quantum Leap"ed all over the schedule until it gets cancelled because "no one was watching it". Unfortunate about TBJ. I liked it more than CI. Vincent D'Onofrio's character was so damn smart it always seemed like he should've been on Jeopardy making Ken Jennings his bitch or something. Yeah, Fox is probably thinking that Sundays are going to be their night (if they don't jack around with their schedule too much, of course). David Boreanaz back on TV? Cool. Now where's James Marsters dammit? All of this IMO, of course.

I'm under the impression that anyone can use a lightsaber. If you're not Jedi/Sith, then you won't be very skilled in doing so, but it won't prevent you from using one. That is true. Han used Luke's lightsaber in ESB to open up the Taum-Taum. Tauntaun! It's spelled TAUNTAUN! *revels in his Star Wars geekiness* 21 hours, 45 minutes until show time. I'm dyin' over here.
