Actuall sfa from what I've heard, McLane liked winning in the postseason, and the thought of bringing in Beltran for a whole year (much less several) has given him the incentive to open up the pursestrings some more. I'd be willing to bet that McLane would consider coming up near Bor-Ass'es contract demands if he knew it would guarantee Beltran signing on the dotted line. As for Berkman, that's a thorny issue. He's a hell of an offensive player but to be honest, the guy's out of position. He's not an outfielder, but they had to find a spot for him when he came up and Bagwell wasn't going anywhere. This injury may cost him the first couple of months of the season, which won't help. But, with Biggio's contract up after this year and Bagwell's coming up in the next couple of years (plus Kent being off the books), McLane might swallow a year or 2 of losses and resign Berkman to a mutually agreeable figure. Then he just has to figure out how to hold on to Oswalt, Lidge, etc. etc. All this is assuming, of course, that Drayton holds on to the team.

Check your e-mail, I think I sent you an explanation. If it didn't work, let me know.

He's going to use it to do a diving headbutt off the scorer's table onto Ron Artest. He saw D'Lo's chest protector back in the day and figured "What the hell? It might work."

I played through both light side and dark side on KOTOR I, and to be honest I liked the light side ending more. More of a sense of accomplishment since turning Bastila back light side can be a bit difficult if you don't say the right things. From what I've heard from a friend who played dark side to my light side, the payoff for playing through both sides isn't as drastic as in the first one. I'm going to play through dark side though, just so I can blackmail people, kill anyone I want, and basically not give a crap about what anyone thinks. It'll be a while though since I've got a lot of Christmas stuff to get through first. Yeah Carth was a giant tool in the first one. Whined about everything. Couldn't believe he survived in my light side game and made ADMIRAL! Oh well I look forward to seeing him dead in my dark side story. As to the question of backstory, it's really not that bad. It's set a couple thousand years before Episode 1, so you'll be fine. Shoot, I don't think they even mentioned Malak or Revan in any of the books.

Wait wait wait, ALICIA? Teleportation, stalker hottie? Last time we saw her wasn't she doing a Carrie impression with a can of red paint? I guess she gets out of Arkham or wherever and revives her Fatal Attraction-ness on Clark. That's fine though, she's cute, somewhat interesting, and will hopefully toture Lana at some point during the episodes she's on (2 according to IMDB).

Well, I figured I'd see what everybody else got, computer/console game wise, for Christmas. Games you plan to get from gift certificates count. Myself, I asked for a lot of games since they're a nice way to relax after work. And the family responded quite well. I ended up with: Console The Lord of the Rings: The Third Age Metroid Prime: Echoes Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater SOCOM II: Navy Seals (old, but a nice shooter) Computer Soldier of Fortune: Platinum Edition Rome: Total War Medieval: Total War Lord of the Rings: The Battle for Middle Earth The Elder Scrolls III Morrowind GOTY Edition (Morrowind, Bloodmoon, and Tribunal) All in all, I should be busy from now until next Christmas.

I haven't seen it posted anywhere, so here it is. Good to see Sandler getting back into the pure comedy, and Burt being in it is a nice bridge to the original. I don't know of a whole lot of prisons where the guards have the time, inclination, and energy to form a football team though, much less one that looks like the NFL sponsors it.
-
Good man. Yeah I'm looking forward to those. Especially Morrowind I was surprised I got it. Wasn't on my list and bang, it shows up. I foresee whoelsale carnage for the immediate future.

Beat it as a lightside Guardian/Watchman. A little difficult depending on melee at the end since at times you're fighting 7 or 8 guys by yourself, but I actually put in the points to get death field and that helped a LOT at the end. Going back to play it through as a Sith (the balanced guy, can't remember his name). It'll take a while because I got a ton of computer/console stuff for Christmas so I'm now distracted.

There's still a Real World?? Wow just, wow.

Longest Yard trailer available

Just think though, you get to watch Sandler try to throw a football like an NFL QB. Who will be more convincing, him or Keanu Reeves? -
Interesting choice of CBs for the AFC. Just for shits and giggles, a comparison: Champ Bailey 72 tackles 3 ints 10 passes defensed 0 sacks 0 forced fumbles Chris Mcalister 36 tackles 1 int 8 passes defensed 0 sacks 0 forced fumbles Tory James 56 tackles 7 ints 10 passes defensed 0 sacks 2 forced fumbles Dunta Robinson 76 tackles 6 ints 19 passes defensed 3 sacks 2 forced fumbles Nice to see that they're rewarding the best players at the position, eh? Now give Defensive Rookie of the Year award to part time player Jonathan Vilma (he plays for NY, he must be good ya know) and screw Robinson all the way.

The one in Idlewood is close to your house. Take the drive by your house that cuts to the street behind your house, take a right. Go past the bridge it should be right there on your right (IIRC, there's some kind of pickup in the driveway). Looking at where you are in the game you may not be able to access it yet though. I don't know about Montgomery. Never really paid much attention to the 2 player spots.

I'd just like to reiterate my opinion that Wuzie is one of the best supporting characters in a game this year (at least). Don't really have any game stuff since I beat it a while back and went to work on KOTOR 2 (just beat it this morning on light side), but just had to interject.

I'm going to be a homer and say NLCS game 5. Yes, the OTHER series. A tense pitching matchup involving a near rookie facing the spotlight (Brandon Backe), great defensive plays (Rolen's grab down the 3rd base line, Beltran's diving catch in center), and a Hollywood type ending with a 9th inning game winning homer. Tense and exciting baseball.

Then can we say The Medallion closed the casket and threw it into the ground? I'm sorry, but Claire Forlani, Action Hero just does not sound right. However, I'm willing to give Rush hour 3 and the rumored "Shanghai Dawn" a chance before I say his career is dead and gone. Couple other notes about earlier posts: 1) Elizabeth Shue has looked hot in damn near everything since (and including) Adventures in Babysitting. 2) In today's "questionable decisions" topic, I see Kevin Bacon is going to be in Queen Latifah's "Beauty Shop". Yeah, he'll fit right in. 3) Always thought Alicia Silverstone was one of the cutest (not necessarily "hottest") women in Hollywood. I liked her in"Blast From the Past" and "Excess Baggage".

Well, since I'm an Aggie fan I'm interested in the Cotton Bowl. A&M vs. Tennessee seems like a pretty good matchup, and since the kickoff is at 10 AM local time, I'll be able to watch most of it before I have to leave for work.
-
Well, with BorAss as Beltran's agent, I don't think it'll be enough in years or dollars. Just a hunch. It would be nice if he took it since let's face it, $14 million a year is nothing to sneeze at.

OK Vince, put these two on Smackdown and keep them there. This is the best, what, 5-6 minute match I've seen in a long time. Holy crap TOP ROPE DDT! -

I think London broke his neck there. -
Well, I couldn't find the game in Houston. Texas is actually a pretty good rugby state, with the Dallas Harlequins usually being a very good club and several teams in the Houston area being competitive (I wish I had time to play, a couple of them have tried to get me on their teams). If they would show rugby on TV sometimes (Fox Sports, ESPN2 or something) I think it could become big in the US. It's got violence and lots of action, two things that American sports fans go for.

Eh don't worry too much about that. Richard Justice is talking out of his ass (which, ironically, is the orifice that emanates most of his more intelligent ramblings). He also says that somehow the payroll for the Astros will remain the same (about $83 million) but that between Pettite, Bagwell, Biggio, and Berkman there will still be enough cap room to offer Beltran a deal of $13.5 million a year for the next 7 years (pretty much unheard of contract length for Uncle Drayton). Hey Richard, you do know Oswalt's arbitration eligibility is just about to kick in, right? Unless you plan to move Biggio's AND Kent's salaries out after next year (which actually wouldn't surprise me) the payroll is going to take a pretty good sized leap forward in the next year or 2. The new TV deal will help some, but not that much. All in all, I doubt Beltran will end up in Astros gear (being a Houston sports fan has given me a pessimism that's amazing in both depth and breadth) next year, and the Yankers er, Yankees are the most logical possibility. Well, them or the Angels.

One thing I've noticed in the discussion is that the common belief is that the psychic sent Claire onto the plane so the baby wouldn't survive. What if he saw this as the only way Claire WOULD raise the baby? Maybe he saw her surviving the crash, giving birth, and raising the kid herself (or with Charlie). If she had stayed in civilization, the child would have been adopted by the Melbourne couple and would have been taken away (Hitler baby?). Anyway, cool twist with Ethan being psycho island stalker. I'm hoping Locke finds Ethan by himself, strings him up, and slowly tortures him in ways that would make Saiyd puke until Ethan gives up where he stashed Claire and Charlie. Of course, I want Locke to be named Island Emperor for Life, so I'm a bit biased.

The Marine who shot dead an injured man
Conspiracy_Victim replied to Vanhalen's topic in Current Events
Just to give you a clue as to what the Marine may have been thinking about when he shot the terrorist, I give you this article. By the way, even though it is NewsMax, that doesn't mean it didn't happen. -
Aww look, a nice Thanksgiving feast. Nothing could go wrong with all that food lying around...
