OK I'll ask. Craig Biggio? And for the sake of argument, he plays 2 more years and gets to 3000 hits. He'd end up with career totals of around 270 homers, 630 doubles, 1100 RBIs, and maybe about 60 triples. I'd say in, but people come up with all sorts of reasons why he shouldn't be.

OK as far as I'm concerned, Daddy Kent needs to get off Clark's case about using his superpowers. If Clark can lead a crap team to a state championship, go undefeated, compile some ungodly stats, and get a full ride to college (otherwise known as NO COST TO YOU DADDY!) I'd say "Go for it son! Run some guys over, pass for 5000 yards, and get a nice ring out of it!" His protection of Clark's special powers is getting a bit into the paranoid area. Otherwise, good to see Lois off to college. I like the eye candy as much as the next guy, but Chloe is filling the plucky reporter role nicely. Maybe next year when Clark heads to college. Chloe in a cheerleader outfit was weird and a bit alarming, although her promising to "relax" Clark in the barn was actually pretty funny. Lana and her new boyfriend/accident waiting to happen still does nothing for me. Lex is still a badass, although his dependency on Clark is getting a bit too one-note for me. Character development people! Anyway, my DVR didn't record the promo for next week, so I have no opinion on it yet. I'll see a commercial or two for it I'd imagine.

And so the Astros bullpen explodes yet again and wastes a pretty decent start by Pete freakin' Munro of all people. Great. Here's hoping that Roger, Roy, and Brandon can all make it at least into the 8th in their starts, otherwise this is going to be a real quick series. Then I would have no reason to watch the World Series. Again.

I like this guy Due to my dislike of the two teams, I won't be watching the games live, just kinda half-paying attention to the end results I'll probably still chime in here every now and then anyways Sweet. I look forward to spouting off more "It's all an anti-Houston" theories at you. Unfortunately I'll be at work during most of the games so it may take a while to reply sometimes. The state of Texas isn't big on letting it's employees browse the internet for fun while they're at work.

Nah that's got too much publicity. Strictly public access.
-
Well I just fixed that since you seemed to want one so bad. /sarcasm off
-
Yeah I think I've heard about that 5 or 6 times.... In the past 30 seconds.
-
Huh... We win and I'm actually rather melancholy about it. I wish Cammy could've see it. Still though, a good series by all concerned, and now we get one of the best teams in baseball.

Looked like Drew nearly broke his wrist against the wall. Good thing outfielders wear mitts the size of hockey goalie gloves nowadays to act as padding.

Man Vizcaino is giving it everything he's got out there at SS. Nice catch and turn to start the double play.
-
Hold on 'Sault we've got to get through "Lead? You want me to hold a lead?" Gallo. Good get his ass out of here and put in Harville. Hopefully he can throw a strike tonight.

DAMN never thought I'd be happier to see a slap opposite field base hit!
-
Turner Field's close enough. Any mention of the man is enough.
-
Well, It's not that I hate each Brave individually, I just hate the organization in the "Why the hell is it always THEM?!?" sense. That and I think Ted Turner's a dick, but that's another issue entirely.
-
Eh, that's OK I hate every Brave outside of Hampton.
-
CARLOS FREAKIN' BELTRAN!! Drayton, open up the wallet and sign that man!
-
It just can't be easy with the Astros, can it? Typical.
-
*shrug* Well, with as many pitches as Roy's had tonight I figured eventually they'd get around on one. I hope his arm doesn't fall off before Garner gets on the phone.

Hey Fox, not everyone tuned into a NATIONAL LEAGUE playoff game to get yet another verbal blowjob of the Yankees-Red Sox "rivalry".

Pvt. Dancer? I thought that would've been Shannon Moore. *imagines the 3 Count dance in camos, cringes, and runs away* -
Actually I'll be somewhat disappointed but not devastated IF the Astros reach the NLCS and lose simply so all the damn talking heads on the TV will shut up about how "they've never won a playoff series".

But didn't you hear at the end of the episode? According to Chloe, Abby was fine with her mom being committed! She'd be back at school next week! No awkwardness at all damn it! Really though I guess it was a pretty good episode. I didn't really buy Lois getting sent back to high school (c'mon, colleges ask for HS transcripts for a reason) but if it gets Durance on screen more, I'm all for it. Is Clark's little football playing excursion going to get him a college scholarship? They keep talking about how rough the Kents have it and this is Clark's senior year. I'd think that a 6'3" guy who can always make the big play, run just fast enough to outrun the opposition, and can hit like a tank will probably have recruiters throwing money and hookers at him. Also, nice touch at the end with Chloe realizing that she's been screwed over yet again, this time by her own cousin. Next week is going to be wierd with Chloe in a cheerleader outfit and Clark's little Kent maybe getting some action.

Over reactionary? Hardly. Take a look at the thread Slayer. Quite a few, heading towards a majority of posts have said "Man I hate the Astros" to some extent or another. Last time I checked, I had just as much right to spew bullshit and venom at everyone around me as anyone. *sigh* Before this gets into an internet pissing contest (I hate those) I'll go have a beer and watch the end of the game.

Jesus I'm sitting here watching the Astros and figure I'll check out the thread and what do I find? A bunch of "Boo hoo, I hate the Astros I hate Minute Maid!" posts. Why the hell is there all this Astros hate? You don't like Andy or Roger for leaving the Yankees? Fine. You don't like them because you're an ATL fan? Fine. I just don't see why seemingly everyone is prefacing every post with "I hate the Astros, but...". They're not featured on ESPN (or any media outlet for that matter) every night like SOME teams. They don't pound the crap out of everyone so much you hate them just for being good. Oh, and Bob, you talk about MMP being "crazy" and should have "32-21" games all the time? Last time I checked, the Braves used to play at Fulton County Stadium. Wasn't it known as "The Launching Pad" for a reason? Oh yeah, there were quite a few games when a lot of runs were score. Now, do I like everything about MMP? Nope. I'd be just as happy as most of you if that hill in CF would disappear. I wish they'd settle on a spot for the yellow line, but MLB keeps making them change it. But this is still better than sitting 200 feet away from the field in the Astrodome watching a game go 13 innings before someone scored on an infield single, stolen base, bunt sacrifice, and a suicide squeeze. And, at least Houston sells out it's playoff games. Sorry, couldn't resist. If you all don't like this sorry I'm probably exaggerating. I'm just letting years of Astros inferiority complex get to me. Edit: And now that I see Bruiser's lovely little bullshit about Houston, I felt the need to respond. Houston may be down south, but it is far from "hick". We have more Fortune 500 companies than any city in the USA. We have a world class medical center. We have world renowned cultural centers (museums, Houston Symphony Orchestra, etc.). Houston has one of the largest shipping channels in the world. Next time you want to say something about some place, try a little research first.

Yeah you're right. Damn me and my lack of basic calendar reading skills! Still though I'd go ahead and run Clemens out there tomorrow (well, today now). You need to go with your best available shot, and right now Roger is about as good as it gets. Worry about a playoff game if you need to, but if you can avoid it entirely so much the better.
