Damn Shelton don't break your neck on that sell job! Orton's the one who hurts himself out there. -

OK so they're stacking the deck against Shelton. Will Batista be guest ref? Can he count to 3? I have a very bad feeling about all this. I guess that takes care of Batista. -

So Mick is channeling Cactus Jack and Mankind at the same time. Cool. -

Is this an off-shoot of Mick's ECW promo about his folding chair getting around with other wrestlers? -

They didn't say Manhattan, they said Manhasset (a rich LI suburb 25 miles east of NYC where he was born) I guess they'll start announcing Foley from being from Bloomington, Indiana. Thanks for clarifying. I thought she said Manhattan but with the music and pyro I guess I didn't hear correctly. Man Matt may be no more than a JTTS now but he never looks like he's dogging it. Everything looks crisp, nothing sloppy. Poor Hardy deserves better. -

Man I like to think us Houstonians are pretty smart wrestling fans. They're either going to die laughing or take a giant collective shit all over it. I'm kinda divided on what it's going to be. I'm just hoping Regal salvages it somehow. -

I kinda like that double team maneuver. Interesting ref bump. Never seen it off a snap suplex before. -

Nice to see they've updated that topical heel tag team to being evil French-Canadian instead of just French. Johnny Nitro mofos!! BTW is it just me, or are they making Benoit from Atlanta now just so they think there WON'T be a riot when Benoit drops the belt at the PPV? -

Vicky in a sombrero shaking her maracas. Is it wrong that I got a happy feeling from seeing that? Edit: Benoit is curtain jerking in a non-title match. BRILLIANT! *clink bottles together* -

please please please don't Jeff Hardy Shelton, HHH. It doesn't really seem like it though. Shelton doesn't make it seem like some friggin' miracle that he beat HHH like Hardy did. I'll remain optimistic that this is a kinder, gentler HHH who will work to get others over. -

The upper decks there in Toyota looks kinda empty. I guess most of the sports viewing people in Houston are watching the Astros opener. I'm going to stay the course and stick with this as long as I can though. -

I go from inadvertant commercials to HHH's mug for the opening interview. I don't know which is worse. -

With the 10th pick in the NFL draft, the Houston Texans select: DeAngelo Hall, cornerback, Virginia Tech *waits for hoopla and applause to die down* *cut to Charlie Casserly sitting in the War Room in Reliant Stadium* "With the continued recovery of Seth Payne from surgery, the resigning of Gary Walker, and the offseason signing of up and coming star Robaire Smith, we felt that our most pressing need was in the defensive secondary. DeAngelo Hall is a young man with both the physical (4.34 40, 39 inch vertical, a 3.68 short shuttle, a 6.39 three-cone drill and 15 reps) and mental (23 Wunderlic score) abilities to become an immediate impact player both on defense and on special teams. In our division it is very important to get as many quality defensive backs as possible, and under the tutoring of Marcus Coleman and Aaron Glenn, we think DeAngelo will soon become one of the premier cover men in the league." The Pittsburgh Steelers are now on the clock.

There's just about no way on Earth that Taylor would fall past the Texans at 10. I've even read reports that the Texans told Taylor as such. He apparently ran the 40 at Miami's pro day with a tweaked hamstring, which hampered his running ability. BTW a mock draft that had Taylor going at 17 now has him going to the Texans at 10. Can't remember which one though. CNNSI or something like that.

Anyone seen APO around? I'd like to do my pick tonight but I've gotta take off in a couple of hours and won't be back until like 2 or 3 Central.
-
By the way, has anyone picked up the Titans, Panthers, or are there any other unclaimed teams? I'll pick up another team seeing as how I don't have a lot else to do (unemployment REALLY sucks). Edit: Well, since I don't know a whole lot about the Panthers and I can't stomach the thought of helping Bud Adams in any way (even a mock draft), I'll pick up the Dolphins.
