Damn braves, this looks all official and shit . I feel like I oughta be working the phones looking for a trade or something. I could always hook up some really grainy and slow webcam and call it the "War Room Cam" I guess. Who wants to play Mort and predict everyone's pick wrong?

Well NoCal it doesn't help that they're playing the Rockets. I swear although I know it's just the homerism I have but I swear the Rockets get the fewest calls in the league. Ever since Steve's little faux pas on national TV it seems like the refs are bound and determined to show the Rockets who the boss is on the court. Although I'm pretty sure it won't keep the Rockets out of the playoffs, I'm concerned about how it will affect their series. Minnesota/Sacramento/LA/San Antonio are going to be tough enough without playing against 8 men.

OK I'll admit it, Bradshaw is entertaining me. I never thought I'd say it after the APA went down the toilet, but he's ACTUALLY making me pay attention to him.

So Cena beats both members of the FBI in a handicap match. Who does he think he is, the Undertaker?

Fifi! And that guy who leeches heat off her!

Are they moving Long toward tweener status, or is he just going to everyone? They seem to be playing down the race card.

Matrix...Matrix... Oh yeah, that OTHER trilogy that ended last year. Almost forgot about it.

Spirited little squash there.

umm... Interesting (i.e. generic) music for the Yakuza there.

I'm waiting to see how many cracks Seth throws into the first episode about the whole cancellation thing. FOX usually seems pretty good about letting their own shows crack on the network (Simpsons, etc.) so I imagine Seth will have some leeway. Oughta be pretty good. -
Well, Charlie Sexton actually contributed 3 songs to the soundtrack for Thelma and Louise (a couple who goes around killing people) although none of the three were "Graceland" ("Badlands, "Mercury Blues", and "Tennessee Plates" actually), but maybe they just heard Sexton. Just a possibility.

Mike Morris had an update on Brock Lesnar this morning on his radio show. Morris said that Lesnar arrived in Arizona today to start training for his NFL tryouts. He weighed in at 283 lbs, ran a 4.65 40, had a 35 inch vertical jump, a 10 foot standing long jump, and benched 225 lbs. at 30 reps. These are all standard tests that NFL teams do. Brock is expecting to improve these numbers over the next six weeks. Credit: PWInsider.com I figured this could be put here, but if this belongs in "Sports" sorry. Anyway, those are awfully good measureables. The 40's surprising to me, I didn't take him for the real quick on his feet type. Assuming Brock's 6'4" or so (I think that's about right) he looks like he could be a defensive end in a 4-3. Still though I don't know if he's going to be able to acquire the knowledge to be an NFL player in the short amount of time given.

Grossly undersized? I'm sure Dwight Freeney (6'1", 268), Kabeer Gbaja-Biamila (6'4", 255), Jevon Kearse (6'4", 255), Hugh Douglas (6'2", 281), Leonard Little (6'3", 261)...anyway I don't think 6'2", 283 is 'grossly undersized' by any stretch. As for linebacker, I don't think he's got the lateral quickness to play sideline to sideline like linebackers are supposed to play. Just an opinion of course.

Doesn't have to be a major college either my friend...no it doesn't.. *remembers the days, wipes away a happy tear* But the major college helps. Saying "I'm an athlete at The University of Oklahoma" has more impact to a normal person that doesn't really follow sports than "I'm an athlete at Southwest Oklahoma University". Most of the time they've heard of the major college team and the first thing that goes to there head is what sport that school is best at and they get an impression that all athletes are like that and therefore I am one of those badasses on TV. With Oklahoma it works well b/c of the football team. If I went to say Duke it'd be the basketball team image. Oh yeah I know. Just showing some love for my fellow small school boyz. *wonders about the 'z', then leaves it in since that's what the cool kids are doing nowadays*

They actually put team chemestry in the game? Yeah, but it's not that big a deal. Each player has a happiness meter determined on things like contract, money, playing time, etc. If they're not happy you get emails saying they want so and so (usually more money or more playing time) and that they're starting to disrupt the clubhouse. All this contributes to a "Team Chemistry" meter on your main screen. I haven't noticed much difference in a high chemistry rating and a low rating, but there supposedly is. Usually if your team is winning the chemistry remains high anyway so I just let the players chill and deal with them in the offseason.

Hullaboo caneck caneck *starts in on the Aggie War Hymn* Relax it's not like the Ags can win at any real (meaning, scholarship) sports nowadays, except baseball. Yeah it sucks but in club sports, homerism is king. It sucks, but I could tell you stories of my college rugby days up in VA *gets his cane, wanders off*...

I think Bill's shooting on Ultimo not learning the "WWE's ways".

Don't slip Ultimo! That was mean I know.

The rumor was Kidman turning heel......again, and again it's abandoned. Yeah I remember the rumors and I even remember his "triumphant" return sitting in the front row with various women (whatever happened with that?). Still though, they keep making Paul out to be "serious" nowadays, and more dedicated and all that. Makes it sound like he goes WAYYY overboard and eventually snaps and beats the shit outta Kidman some night. Not that it matters since the cruisers will probably be stuck on the same show as HHH and promptly banned from doing any move more entertaining than a headlock since it might 'show up' the upper carders. Sorry had to get in a little random HHHate. It's like a disease.

Man London splattered Akio with that 450. Looked like he nearly landed on Akio's head. Still fun though, especially the aforementioned dropkick/moonsault combo. Did it sound a little like they're trying to build up London as a serious cruiser? It'll probably just lead to some half-hearted heel turn so he gets squashed by Rey, Billy, et. al.

Oh c'mon Paul don't rag on luchadores you brought us Rey, Eddy, Super Crazy, et. al. OK I think Paul's little speech at least indicated a third brand. -

I'm hoping for Hawkeye next year, personally. I'd say Green Lantern...but that'd probably be more of Helms' m.o. I'd say Cap America, but Kurt's got that covered. ....I'd LOVE to see Angle bash someone over the head with a flag-clad shield sometime. I'd buy that for a dollar.
