I would but since I'm...employmentally challenged it's gotta wait for a bit. We'll see how the ol' birthday goes when it rolls around in a couple weeks. Seasons 1 and 2 were great but 3 was when they kept jumping it in and out of the lineup (IIRC) so I don't remember too much about it.

*respectfully points at the Texans pulling the UPSET OF THE YEAR (although it's only week one)* A second year team beating a contender for AFC championship on the road gets my vote. Besides, I'm allowed to be a homer.

Wow a Bob Holly reference. He still exists? -

Good Lord I think we have a competitor to RVD in "Best Sell of a DDT". The fact that RVD does it hands free still gives him an edge but Jimmy's 5 second handstand was still nice. However if he ever got signed by the WWE he'd probably have to get rid of the run up the chest dropkick and the twisting moonsault. Wouldn't want to risk injury (aka show up the main eventers). Yang in the cruiserweight division would rock though. -
To me ring outs are just part of the game. Yes it sucks when you're one or two hits from knocking someone out and you get tossed, but when there's a computer controlled opponent that's blocking everything you do until you're able to get that one grab and toss them it makes it all worthwhile. Besides, I like to use Link and a lot of Link's grabs toss his opponents out.

Time for Shelton and Charlie to get, ahem, "broken in" by Bradshaw. -

Generic WWE rock in a recap? That's different. -
Jericho, four guys with no redeeming value whatsoever and MAVEN? Heel. Group. From. Hell. It was just an example AS. Yes it's a horrible horrible thought, but with the current state of the WWE they could have Jericho get amnesia and dress as the Shockmaster every week and it wouldn't really surprise me anymore. SOMEONE in the group needs to be able to talk and if Flair's the one, great it'll give him something to do besides being HHH's little verbal blow-up toy.
-
Well, call me crazy, but couldn't Jericho (if he stays heel, which is likely since his mic work is better that way) take over Evolution? Since WWE is so fond of having quasi-shoot angles, have Orton, Maven, and any of the others turn on HHH when he returns and is his usual overbearing self. Then when the explanation comes up, have Orton say that someone has been telling them about how HHH REALLY is, and will let the group Evolve under someone who understands what they need to do to become true superstars. Countdown hits, Jericho comes out. Then you've got all the tiers covered. Jericho = World champ material Orton = Intercontinental (if they insist on it) Jindrak & Cade = Tag team Batista (maybe) = new Enforcer Maven = uhh...he can be Paul Roma As far as I know NO ONE outside of Titan tower thinks Orton is ready to be a main event player. This allows them to bring him along a bit more slowly. Just a thought.

Well, my best so far came in my second dynasty. Unranked Rice (me) upset #22 Nebraska on the road 24-17 in overtime. In it I had a 14-0 lead until the 3rd quarter, then they score 17 points as I turn the ball over 3 TIMES (no they don't use catch up AI). I kick a 41 yard field goal that JUST made it over the crossbar with about a minute left to send it into OT. I get the ball first and get no gain on 1st down, sacked for 15 on 2nd down, then incomplete pass on third down. With the wind in my face I have to go for it and hit a 28 yard post route for a 1st down. I go into power-I and jam it down their throats for a TD. They get the ball, and somehow their WR breaks 3 tackles and takes the ball to the three. I drop my corners into zone to take away the outside and sure enough they try to throw an out. CB picks the ball and it's bye bye Huskers! Total score of 1243.

OK this is kind of time intensive, so quick replies if possible would be appreciated. It's also kinda wordy so bear with me. Anyway, a friend and I have been offered a trade. We would give up: LaDanian Tomlinson Derrick Mason Eric Moulds and would get in return: Travis Henry Marvin Harrison Plaxico Burress Our league scoring basically breaks down to: 1 pt/10 yds for up to a 200 yard game 2 pts/10 yds in a +200 yd game 5 pts/ TD with a 5 pt. bonus for every 10 yds OVER 10 yds (i.e. 10 pts for an 11- 20 yd TD, 15 for 21-30, etc.) -2 pts. per fumble (doesn't matter if recovered or not) Now, with that info, would you do the trade? I'm leaning towards it right now. Then another trade would send Marc Bulger for Tommy Maddox (highway robbery IMO) and would give a team of: QB- T. Maddox, M. Hasselbeck, K. Holcomb RB- T. Henry, T. Barber, C. Garner, TJ Duckett WR- M. Harrison, P. Burress, T. Holt, K. Johnson (CLE) TE- T. Heap, F. Wycheck K- J. Carney, O. Mare D/ST- Dolphins, Patriots

Mainly Link and Nightmare so far. Link, despite some reports, doesn't seem to throw off the game balance as his attacks aren't really THAT strong comparitively speaking. I'm starting to try out Cervantes though. Good speed and some awesome grabs. Best grab IMO is Astaroth's "wrap him around the axe and squash him". That looks painful as hell.

Billy Wagner uses that one, too. Good call. Always fun watching that little redneck running out there to Metallica. Just seems a bit off somehow.

It's pretty high on my list as well. Had to track down a copy on DVD though. Despite the one fairly large pot hole I still can't figure out and the director never addressed in the commentary, it's definitely one of my favorites.

He was in that movie? Yeah, he was the student radio announcer. Some funny lines, including a riff on the Copier Guy.

I would just like to say I marked for the apparent reference to Rob Schneider in Necessary Roughness. That is all thank you.

They've changed the headline. Now it says "Seaman Agrees to City Deal". I guess someone got into a little bit of trouble.

So...after all this, HHH apparently doesn't do a single fucking thing and goes over just about the entire RAW upper card (assuming there is such a thing at this point). Well, let's just break out the shovels and bury both RAW and everyone on RAW's careers and make sure the last one out the door turns out the lights. The HHH Masturbatory Show continues tomorrow night on Spike TV, tell your friends! The entire roster will come out and kiss his ass in the middle of the ring, then a local choir will come out and sing praises to HHH, the God of Wrestling!

of what? just curious on what you think it's a rip off of. I think he's referring to the fact that you have to pay 4 times (at full price, not even like a $20 or even $35 price point) for games that combine to be the length of a decent RPG. I still like it (just played the 1st so far, have to borrow 2 and beat it) but it does suck somewhat having to pay that much per installment.

Well, I'm still getting the 'Cube version, so we'll see how the controller works. I've played the Japanese X-Box version *cheers for "adjusted" X-Boxes* and Spawn is pretty cool, but fairly slow and not great reach. A button masher can take him down but going toe to toe with him can end it pretty quick.

What I mean is, there should be a cheat sheet on the draft page, maybe a highlight on the positions you still need, or a breakdown next to the positions. It just seems to slow down the draft going to the breakdown for every round just to see what you still need. Good FS's are pretty easy to find. Decent CB's can be had, really good ones do go pretty early.
-
I BELIEVE it's the stats that are affected by your coaching staff and training staff. Not totally sure though.
-
BTW according to 411 the Brock/Gowen match may be back on. Apparently the cocktail napkin booking is back in full effect.
-
For me it's WRs. Following the fantasy draft I'm always in the last 5 picks. Usually I find someone I just can't pass up and by the end of the 2nd round EVERY DAMN WR IS GONE! Why can't it be like the real draft when there's like 50 WRs? Plus, there should've been an easier way to check to see what holes needed filling on your roster. Still, the draft is one of the best parts of the game for me. Of course, I thought recruiting was the best part of NCAA so I guess I just like finding prospects.

*looks at buyrate* Hmmm..are they going to blame RVD somehow? And yes, that whatever the hell that is in your sig kinda scares me, FBPR.
