I'd love it if they visited all the FF worlds. I've only played a few of them though (Yes I've never played VII, so sue me) I'd love to see how they adapted all the old Nintendo worlds into the PS2's capabilities. I wouldn't mind a small bit of Disney but like someone said earlier they've already dealt with quite a few of the Magic Kingdom's baddies. Who wouldn't want to take Riku with two keyblades and team him up with a couple FF characters (maybe the VII version of Cid, I heard he was a cool character, and a reborn Auron) against a new and improved Ruby and Emerald Weapons, a jacked up Yunalesca from X, or even earlier fights? I'd buy that for a dollar (or 2 even).

I loved Styker's fatality. Wiring the guy up and blowing him up was kinda cheeseball though (especially the covering the ears) so they might try something else.. However, I think one of the movies you get out of the Krypt shows what happened to Baraka. However, since it isn't in the game proper I suppose it doesn't really count.

Ah. Well that's one way to get everyone's ending . Cage's ending is kinda lame anyway. It fits into his character and all, but it doesn't further anything.

Exactly. All I heard on places like gamefaqs (aka video games for 10 year olds) was how badass Moloch was. First 3 or 4 times I got to him with Cage I tried to keep some distance and got worked by his reach and that inhale attack. Finally I got pissed and just worked my way in and started throwing combos. I accidentally switched to Jeet Kun Do and couldn't find the time to switch out so I just kept throwing the same 2 combos and Moloch COULDN'T beat me. Hilarious. I'm dreading trying to beat him with someone slower like Hsu or Jax. Mavado oughta be fun though, just bouncing around on his little bungee cord things. Quan Chi as the final fight is still kind of a pain with Cage though. He's JUST quick enough to keep up. Basically keep sidestepping and try to work him over from the side. Tsung is somewhat easier, because he seems to be just a tad slower and susceptible to the same Jeet combos. Keep your distance when he gets to his sword though because your 'chuks don't have the reach and he has that little low-high attack that'll mess you up if you're too close.

Oh yeah me too. I half expected Jecht to turn to me and ask what the hell I was doing. Of course we still had to go through that terrible final battle after Jecht. Yes I get the reason for it but still...

Well, I'll be out so no live thoughts from me (Awwwww...). However my VCR is set so assuming there's no cable outage like there was Monday night I'll throw down some thoughts later tonight. I second the thoughts about the TE recap it'll be all I've got to go on until I can catch a replay.

Yeah I liked "Simple and Clean". I still mark for "Otherworld" though. The opening blitzball FMV with the rather un-FF like song was great. It may not be a great "genre" song, but the departure they took from your typical FF song with it was appealing.

BTW IGN has posted an article on the first hands on demo of FF X-2 here . Sounds pretty good with people able to change jobs DURING a battle, complete with different animations. Also, the new female character is named Paine. The article also includes some movies, but with my dial up I'm not going to check them out right now. Anyone who does let me know how they look and I'll take a peek at any real good ones.

Yeah I thought I was doing it right...Ah well once I finish off Metroid Prime tonight (once I find the last damn missle expansion for 100%) I'll go back to MK and try it again. Then I'll start on a new character. Any suggestions? I was thinking Mavado or Hsu Hao.

Cooking with Scorpion is..disturbing....on some visceral level. Anyway, I don't know what the deal is with fatalities. I'm actually best with Johnny Cage (no I don't like they took out his cheap nut punch thanks for asking) but for some reason I CAN'T get his fatality down! I switch to fatality stance and doo the move, but I keep punching him rather than doing the Brainsmasher. Although I've heard differently, maybe I don't have the distance right or something. BTW 'Sault, Moloch is a big bitch with Cage. Switch to Cage's Jeet Kun Do stance and he has a couple 6 hit combos that start off with a 3 punch combo that hits quicker than anything Moloch does. Get inside, and throw the combo as fast as you can hit the button, and you'll only get splattered one or two times. Ocassionally the game will arbitrarily decide Moloch is faster than you, but that's rare. And yes Quan Chi's fatality is messed up. Jumping on the guys shoulders and pulling his head up? When did the characters become Gumbies? 2nd BTW I bow down to Sakura's MK knowledge and pledge my eternal adoration to her.

OK First no I didn't like Jericho being made to look like a bitch but I was happy he was champ until he was the walking pooper scooper. However, I didn't spend the entire time bemoaning his fate to everyone. Second, making Angle "duck" people through a fake injury does nothing more than make him look like a chickenshit and even worse than having a 290 pounder throw his knee into a ringpost a few times. THEN, Brock is unover? I was willing to agree to that when they gave him the belt, but after Armageddon and recent Smackdowns, I don't think that's entirely true nowadays. His pops seem to be supported by fan reaction and not a Test pop (aka the wonders of modern technology). Finally, no I don't like how they're using Jericho. However, I'm willing to enjoy Jericho's mike and ring work while lighting a candle every day for HHH's next debilitating injury. BTW: Vince was champ? What does that mean? Yes he was champ for what, a week before he gave up the belt. It's not like he's some scrawny dumbass movie star.

So they're just supposed to say "Woo Angle's won the belt! Now he goes in for surgery! We knew this but since we're not SUPPOSED to know it beforehand we're just going to let you use your imagination as to what happened." Now albeit that might actually lead to some better ideas than "Hoss beats up smaller guy", they needed some way to explain Angle being on crutches. So, this builds up a credible challenger while also giving Angle some time off. However, since it doesn't make Angle look like GOD HIMSELF, you're complaining. What a shock. I guess Angle being champ and being the leader of "Team Angle" just isn't enough. Man, EVERYONE looks bad at one time or another in the business. Shoot, Y2J is my favorite in wrestling today and I don't go around complaining every time he looks bad, because I'd be complaining 24/7 for the past 8 months now. Even longer, since by your standards I'd get to complain when he was champ since he was the cowardly heel champ (Angle wasn't even made to look as bad as Jericho did). Try relaxing and enjoying Angle's reign rather than bitching about every little thing.

Well with..oops better put in SPOILERS Anyway, with the Al Behd apparently becoming part of society again following the defeat of Sin, it's ok to use machina again. Plus, with the aeons being freed at the end of FFX, I don't see how you could "summon" anything. SPOILERS END Anyway, yeah with Yuna in her new Al Behd threads it looks pretty sweet. Hopefully they use a better voice sample whenever she says "Yes". It always sounded like a 45 being played at 72. Anyway, it apparently follows Yuna on a quest (I'm assuming to find someone they lost at the end of FFX). However, since society has splintered off into several factions who want more or less Al Behd influence on society, she is being searched for by the other factions. Plus, it's not Lulu. Lulu at the end of FFX International (or whatever that Japan only version was called) show that Lulu is pregnant. It's someone else who has yet to be named. Anyway, all this is just a synopsis of everything I've been able to glean off several different websites, so this is all pretty much conjecture at this point. I was able to see a trailer Square put up at a Japanese game con., but since it was all in Japanese all I could do was sit and watch it and go "Ooohh, pretty pictures!"

Agreed MDH. I'm in a truck for my job so I'm stuck with the radio to keep me awake (REAL boring job). I usually just stick it on 610 AM. I'd rather listen to Rome, Dan Patrick and the local guys than 94.5, 96.5, or 104. Mainstream radio in Houston sucks.

Hey Bob, Just asx an FYI the Knicks did a sign and trade deal for Shandon with the Rockets. The Rockets. It was actually a 3 team deal with Shandon and Howard Eisley going to NY, Glen Rice going to Houston, and Muggsy Bogues going to Dallas. But anyway the fact that NY is paying Anderson $42 million over a 6 year contract is rather humorous.

Good lord Platinum Battle (ok, Sephiroth) is a bitch and a half. First time I beat Hercules and it opened up I knew who it was but I said to myself, "Self, he can't be THAT hard!" So I put in Platinummatch, heard the cool music and saw him float down and I thought "Pretty cool". Then it was Wham, Bam, Seeya biyotch! He killed me in about 10 seconds (I was only about level 30 or so, didn't have the super flight or anything like that). So, I beat the game and figured that now I could do some damage. So I went back to the saved game and gave it a shot. After FINALLY getting his damn health bar to move I knocked off his first bar and what do I hear? SIN HARVEST!! Yup next thing I know I'm desperately floating away and trying to get to my megalixirs. Long story short I got 2 1/2 bars into him, got to close on a sin harvest (tried to break it up and missed my swing) and got nailed. That guy is about as difficult a "boss" I've ever seen.
