Yeah if Liam Neeson was threatening me, I'd go ahead and let his daughter go.

So Ted Jr. makes his triumphant return?

    WWE Raw - January 12, 2009

I'm hoping Jericho's contract has a generous severance package that allows him to buy RAW somehow (hey, it's TV) and fire Steph, but I'm just going to assume that Vinnie brings him back next week until I hear different.

Dirty, disgusting, bottomfeeding trashbag ho? ETA: I think there's a "brutal" in there somewhere, but it's been a while. Instead we're going to have 2 hours of Jericho begging and pleading for his job.

Street Fighter is the best movie ever.

Yeah Dredd's Lawgiver replaced Robocop's machine pistol in the "baddest hand cannon in cinema history" category for me. Dirty Harry's .44 Magnum is fine, but why stop at 6 shots when you can give a scumbag 60 instead?

Oh my fucking GOD! If I had been Bill Paxton's character and spent three years of my life, untold amounts of money, and God only knows how many man hours by a crew of specialists and some old bitch had thrown not only a priceless jewel but the focus of my life's work overboard after giving me some halfassed speech about the evils of materialism (while having it on her the entire time and never telling me), the last thing I would have done was laugh. I would have pitched her wrinkled old ass overboard and told her that she could have either gotten it back or swim for shore on her own. I would have thrown something at the screen if that had been the ending Cameron had gone with.

    Watchmen

"Rather than ask for a jury trial that would likely have postponed the release of Watchmen, Warner Bros. has agreed to let a federal judge who has shown the studio little sympathy decide whether 20th Century Fox could prevent it from distributing the movie on March 6 as scheduled. Last month U.S. District Judge Gary Feess agreed that Warner Bros. had not properly obtained the movie rights to Watchmen and advised the two studios to settle the matter. They were unable to do so, however, and the case now appears to be heading toward the appellate courts." Well, looks like WB's last shot before having to give in to Fox or delay the release.

Street Fighter is the best movie ever.

Yeah I give Judge Dredd a pass because I never read any of the comic books so I can't nitpick the changes between the source and the movie. Plus Diane Lane give it a half grade bump up for me. Max von Sydow gives it another 1/4 grade up, but for different reasons. Steet Fighter is pure schlock, but between JCVD playing an American with no comment about his accent, Raul Julia eats the scenery by the handfull, and as always with me, it at least has Kylie and Ming Wa to distract me for the stupidity. Oh yeah, and Andrew Bryniarski's Balrog still makes me laugh/grimace. Super Mario Bros. has no redeeming value to me. It was in the middle of Dennis Hopper's dark period (True Romance didn't pull him out of his career skid until Speed gave it an extra push), I don't know what Bob Hoskins was doing in it, and John Leguizamo has been as appealling to me as getting a vasectomy from a blind man with rusty tools. It made no sense, had only the vaguest nod to the source material, and I'm pretty sure it shortens the lifespan of any who watch it.

Yeah, any movie with Jason Isaacs, Sam Neill, and Laurence Fishburne will get my vote pretty much by default. Went through the game on Normal mode and pretty much walked through it with no trouble. I guess I'll go through it again to max out the other guns (I went through the entire game with the cutter and the Ripper) and use the New Game+ trick to get a head start on Impossible mode.

Let the music set the mood...

Sounds like an interesting party there. I got everyone their ultimate weapons and Auron basically wipes out Sin/Yu Yevon on his own. He'd hit for 35k then he'd get a critical or whatever and hit for 65k. I couldn't believe when it first came out and people were grinding enough to put everyone through the entire sphere grid. I put in about 85 hours on my longest play through and thought that was a crazy amount of time. Even then I was only about halfway through the grid with my main group (Tidus, Auron, Wakka). Just to make it germane to the thread, I always liked... Jecht's Theme I think it was. Kind of a twangy acoustic guitar piece.

Let the music set the mood...

I actually played the last half hour or so last night while I was just watching random FMVs and I had almost forgotten how damn melancholy the ending is. But then I remember what a shitpile X-2 made in an effort to make a happy ending out of the whole thing and I got even sadder. ETA: Auron is still one bad mother-Shut your mouth! And Tidus is still a whiny bitch who's overshadowed by one of the supporting characters, a trait that continues in X-2 (Yuna/Payne) and XII (Vaan and Balthier, although to a lesser degree because they were trying too hard that time).

Nah, that makes sense money wise. REzero was half decent from what I remember too, that was Gamecube only. Dead Space as well. Granted you couldn't sprint and fire, but at least you could walk around and avoid getting surrounded while drawing a bead on something. That was an annoyance about RE4, especially when you were facing a horde of townies (like the village) coming at you from all angles and there wasn't much you could do about it.

I've gotta admit I haven't listened to it yet. Sounds like that'll have to change next time I'm driving around.

So next week are we pulling for the psychotic stalker who spent much of last year beating up Rey? Or the egotistical womanizer with a superiority complex?

On an unrelated note, I'm wondering where the heck Evan Bourne is? I thought his leg injury wasn't as bad as they thought and he was going to be back quickly. It's been what, almost 2 months now?

Just let Regal and Punk go out there and stiff each other with kicks for 15 or 20 minutes. I refuse to believe that is what they're giving us. Thank you Stephie.

Hell yeah! Stick a bunch of long haired Euros in the orange and white! I'd love to see a built up Dynamo team be an unstoppable juggernaut and just roll everyone.

Steph/Jericho just isn't the same without him making fun of her boob job. So is Steph a tweener with heel tendencies (i.e. "This is my show" and her interactions with her brother), or is she just...there?

Yeah I definitely did a double-take the first time I got to the Blitzball FMV at the beginning of X and heard "Otherworld" fire up. Loved it. Dammit, now I'm going to have to start up my PS2 and check it out again.

    Persona 4

Got distracted by a couple of new games for Christmas. Smoked Prince of Persia and Dead Space, so I guess I'm going back to 3 now. I don't even remember where I left off. Just before exams I think.
