No Joe couldn't. He knows if he injured Angle he'd get fired. Then it's "Meet Umaga's brother... The Samoan Road Grader.... FATSSO!!!" -
Eh, Aggie defense is starting to get a bit tired I think. Going to need a nice long drive, but the offense hasn't done much this half. Starting to look kinda bad. But hey, on the other hand, if you took A&M's basketball team and gave 73 points today against Grambling you still won.
-
You don't fuck with A&M in San Diego. They have a pretty good track record in the Holiday Bowl IIRC. Edit: Track record meaning, of course, one game. But it was a good one *remembers the real Wrecking Crew nearly breaking Ty Detmer in half* And man, I don't like the players talking about the lineups. I'm sure they think it's cute and all but it makes me wonder how they all didn't have to go Prop. 48 if these are the best the teams have got.

You can add COD3 to my list of multiplayer games. Not bad single player (I like how they don't do the same tired missions for the 100th time) but my character seems to get hung up on edges quite a bit. Anyone want to play multi, let me know here or on PM. I don't get on Live a whole lot (except to download the free stuff) but I'll play when someone wants.

Cornette, Russo, and Heyman in a booking meeting would look like some sort of weird Thunderdome/Elimination Chamber match. It would take a hell of a lot more than West and Tenay sitting between them to keep the shit from flying. Although I commend Russo for not taking out after Cornette after listening to Jim bitch about everything he's given (allegedly). -
I could make an entire thread out of some of the

Yeah Gord is hilarious. It must be nice to own your own store and not have to tolerate others' stupid shit. -
Well to be honest Bonzi was sucking wind after some extended time on the court. I think Van Gundy will give him more time as he gets in better shape. He can be the second scorer the Rockets need since they're without McGrady (again) for God knows how long. The only problem is he's best on the post up, which is Yao's domain. He'll either have to knock down the jumper on a consistent basis or be "the man" when Yao gets some rest.

Ugh. There should be a new warning sticker on chemical bottles. "If ingested induce vomiting by looking at the University of Oregon uniforms." Those helmets match the numbers I guess, but that is one hideous color scheme.
-
X is one of the bad ones? It did have it's drawbacks, but one of the "bad ones"?
-
Nothing to see here. Move along.

Well, it looks pretty and loud. Your typical Michael Bay film. I'm REALLY trying to stay excited, the robot forms just look...too...something.

NOW you're getting the idea! Welcome to debating/arguing on the internets!

X-2 was just an attempt to capitalize on X's popularity. They just tried to explore an angle and it went horribly, horribly wrong. And hey, at least we got Payne out of it, so it wasn't ALL bad. Personally speaking, it was far from the worst game I've ever played, I just got bored with it. Edit: Misawa's post made me add my reasons. The main problem I had with X-2 were the characters. I found Rikku annoying childish, Yuna was not a compelling lead, and Payne (although cool) never really developed. And I know it was a "girl power" sort of game, but would it have killed them to have ANY decent male characters? Auron was, naturally, nowhere to be seen. Wakka makes little more than a cameo, and the most prominent male character is a blithering idiot (yes Brother I'm looking at you, you moron! Stick to kicking ass at blitzball). Maybe I'm forgetting someone since it has been quite some time since I've even turned it on. The job system was pretty decent, but I found myself switching the character's classes just to try to max their classes out, not out of necessity. It just felt incomplete. Everyone could do the same things in every class, so why bother making any of the party work at more than 2 or maybe 3 classes? Plus, I don't think I used their ultimate costumes (or whatever they were called) more than once or twice each. I just found them tacked on. All in all, I liked the idea of going back to Spira. I just felt that the idea was better than the execution.

So, my friend got a PS3 and is willing to sell it to me at cost. I've got a TV that supports 480i and 1080i. Should I bother, or just tell him to sell it for whatever he can get for it? Purely opinion people. Reasoning would be appreciated but is not required.
-
Yeah, a headache is about all I got out of the spoilers too.

I would just like to say that DeMeco Ryans got screwed out of a Pro Bowl start. The guy has pretty incredible stats for a MLB (137 tackles, 3.5 sacks, 1 INT) but Al Wilson got in despite lesser numbers (somewhere around 95 tackles, 1 sack, no INTs). I guess being a name player and playing on a team that doesn't suck ass counts for more than I thought.
-
Isn't that pretty much how Russo works? No real faces or heels, just tweeners who lean one way or the other depending on the situation? The whole "shades of grey" thing.
-
Yes. I just hooked up my friends PS3 to his new HDTV the other day. Gracias.
-
Does the PS3 have a standard HDMI connection, or does it have some sort of proprietary connection? In other words, can you just use a standard HDMI cable with it?
-
If that's true than why the hell can't I watch Thursday night football? Time Warner's got a lock on like 90% of the cable market here in Houston. Apparently we're supposed to switch cable companies (one with NFL Network) with Dallas next year, but apparently for some reason we still might not get NFL Network.

Just noticed that Lethal got tickets to the Holiday Bowl. Dude, A&M vs. Cal oughta be a pretty good bowl game too.

There sure are a lot of music games these days

I probably will break down and get a DS at some point in the near future. I just have to pay for my car...and a loan I took out...and a PS3 a friend bought on my behalf... first. It might be a while. I'm a sucker for the offbeat kind of games. Between this, Phoenix Wright, and the surgery game (the name escapes me) it looks like my kind of system. -
Wasn't it in like 7 seconds? Went straight to the kick in the gut, powerbomb, pin in like a house show or something. Yeah, the PCS skit was hilarious. I thought Sonjay's ass in Lethal's face was a bit much (or however it was) but the double take when Nash told them to do it to Senshi and Senshi's (lack of) expression made the skit. That and Nash putting the "I'm on steroids" sign on Dutt's back. The thing is, it doesn't look like Nash is really trying to put himself over the whole division. I mean, he's playing ringleader and all, but it looks more like Nash just sets the scene, lets the guys do what they want, and just kind of steers it to an ending. It reminds me of a bunch of drunk friends with a video camera.

EBA looks rediculously fun, almost "get a DS just to get the game" fun. -
I don't think he was trying to..I guessed as soon as he got the pills back he'd pop too many by accident. See now I thought he did it on purpose (enough booze and painkillers to cause vomiting without being life-endangering) because he knew Wilson, Cuddy, or one of the Lackeys would come over and find him in the state he was in. Then they'd throw him into rehab "for his own good" and take the decision out of his hands. Then he can keep his holier-than-thou attitude and moral absolutism but still get to avoid the trial and possible jail sentence. That got blown up by the next scene and next week's preview though.
