Lets get this thing finished so we can start voting!

And apparently the run on 2001 matches continues: Steve Austin v. Kurt Angle/WWF Title Match/Summerslam '01 I loved the pre-video package where both were vying for Vince's love, the match was great, and although the ending was a bit of a cop-out, it really stayed true to how quasi-cowardly heel Austin was. And the dialogue between JR & Heyman was great.

With my 8th round selection, Gert's team selects: Mark Recchi/RW 7 time All Star 31st in Career Points 2 time Stanley Cup winner Not a superstar, but will be a good compliment on my 2nd line.

With my 3rd round pick I select: Actor: Glove Model: Ford Bronco Coneisseur: Author: O.J. Simpson/RB I thought OJ was/is the 2nd greatest RB of all-time. His numbers are impressive since they mostly occured in 14 game seasons. Even though he has become a joke now, he was one of the most dominant men ever to play the game, and way too good to pass up.

Marchetti, Unitas & Nitchske

True being around either end aint easy, gotta just play the chips as they lie. You're right about Young, I was looking for him as my 2nd round pick.

Amen! I am going to be stealing somebody in the next round. Had to change my draft strategy because I thought there is no way he'd be available at #42.

That was a great match, nice pick.

With my 2nd pick, I select: Gino Marchetti/DE/Baltimore Colts 9 time All-Pro Voted Greatest DE in NFL History a 50 yr. anniversary (1974) I think Marchetti is the 2nd greatest DE behind the Good Deacon. He was a great pass rusher and freakishly durable for the position and era he played in.

My 13th round and final selection: Jason Kapono/F Has led the NBA 2 years in 3 PT % and is currently the all-time leader in said category. Mr. Kapono would probably rotate in on offense-defense substitutions at the end of the 2nd & 4th quarters.

My guess is that either: A) He didn't do too much besides scoring (a la Reggie Theus, although he had decent assist numbers) or B) people forgot about him. Honestly he was on my radar about two rounds ago, but I thought he didn't bring enough and I had too many guys already at his spot.

On behalf of the Franchise, his 5th pick: Bret Hart v. Shawn Michaels/WWF Title Match/Survivor Series '97/November 9, 1997

I think this pick could come back to me, but it is the last of my Top 10 matches, so I better pick it up now. Brock Lesnar v. Eddie Guerrero/WWE Title Match/No Way Out '04/February 15, 2004 Its funny I was never too big of a fan of Eddie, but I loved the buildup to the match (SD! Royal Rumble, Brock Dancing) and the crowd was tremendous throughout the match.

The big board is updated, and I try to keep it as updated as possible. Thank you Franchise for making my pick.

Count me in too!

Its too bad, a pic of the chaps and jeans would have been bad ass!
-
Elton Brand as said big-man stud?
-
Great pick with Singletary and wow Goblin, last one in and you end up with Unitas and Mean Joe!

I am not really a fan of kicking someone out if they miss one pick. Two maybe, but one stuff could happen. Problems I know that surface could be if a pick is made late at night and then a person cannot get to a computer until 6 or 7 the next day. I think the first two rounds went pretty quick and then slowly trudged along.
-
With my 7th pick I select: Pierre Pilote/D 8 time 1st team All-Star 3 time Norris Winner
-
Not at my computer so I cannot post a pic, but I wanted to add a big who in his prime, averaged 19.5 & 10, and lead the league in fouls so he can come off the bench and foul Shaq 6 times. He won an NBA title with my coach, and is the reason why the Pistons drafted Darko. With my 12th pick I select: Otis Thorpe/F
-
Great pick with Larry Murphy, I almost took him over Mikita. With my sixth pick, I select: Red Kelly/D

And even funnier was that the Steiners dropped the WCW Tag Titles to Doc & Gordy one before GAB at the Omni. I always wondered why they didn't have that match at GAB.

Wow, the NHL thread was a wounded duck, but it came back strong, this thread is slowly dying. Let's finish this off so we can get to the tourney.
