Smackdown EC Match Punk v. Guerrero Flair v. Kennedy Cena v. Orton Edge v. Mysterio Raw EC Match Seems like a good mix.

Is an ECW title match official now for the show? Sorry to interrupt the flow of DVD/World title match jokes.

Can't wait to read Cube's blog about the Stackhouse decision. And couldn't there be a lawsuit from the players association over it?

Ugh, I am an A-10 homer, admittingly, but thats what frustrates me at Big East perception. Under Syracuse's profile: Key Wins: Villanova Key Losses: Rhode Island, UMass, South Florida Now, two of those four teams have a chance to make the NCAA Tournament, and neither one of them is Villanova. Are the URI and UMass loss bad because they are also bubble teams? If so, why are they lumped with South Florida? Anyway, big win by the Orange.

I agree Walkin' Dude. I am a huge OSU fan, but I would have a tough time selling "it usually decides the Big Ten Title", to anyone outside of the Midwest. I ALWAYS hated that Dallas-Washington was a Monday night game even when the teams were bad in the early 2000's. -
Today's big games: Gerogetown (20-3) @ Syracuse (16-9) - Syracuse really needs this win to stay alive for an at-large berth. The loss at South Florida last week put them on thin ice. Georgetown basically is playing to solidfy a 2 seed in the NCAA tournament. Virginia Tech (14-10) @ North Carolina (23-2) - VTech is 5-5 in the ACC right now. The committee says it never looks at conference records, but thats bull. A road win put VTech back in the minds of people as an at-large team. That said, I don't think they are deep enough. Clemson (18-6) @ NC State (15-9) - Clemson needs to start winning some games on the road in the ACC, in typical Clemson fashion they have started their annual January slide after a "strong" start. Florida (19-6) @ Vanderbilt (21-4) - Winning at Vanderbilt would be great on any teams resume, as Vandy seems like a Top 10 team in the country at home, Top 40 team everywhere else. Stanford (20-4) @ Arizona (16-8) - Stanford needs this one to stay one game back of UCLA after their loss at Arizona State Thursday night, Arizona needs this one badly too, as they have a tough stretch of five games coming up. Arkansas (17-6) @ Mississippi State (16-7) - Both teams are playing well right now, this game is for 2nd place in the SEC. Mississippi State put a 20 point beat down on Arkansas earlier this year. Oklahoma (16-8) @ Texas Tech (13-10) - Oklahoma is on most teams radar's as far as an at-large bid, but both of these teams are 4-5 in conference play right now. While the schedule gets a little easier, Oklahoma would be in a lot better shape winning this game today. California (14-9) @ Arizona State (16-7) - Will the Pac-10 get 5, 6 or 7 bids to the NCAA tournament? This game may go a long way towards deciding that. Arizona State, fresh off an upset of No.7 Stanford Thursday night must "hold serve" now. For Cal, this would be a big win on the road in conference play, and pretty much every road win in the Pac -10 is big. Texas (20-4) @ Baylor (17-6) - While Baylor has come back down to Earth since they have entered Big 12 play, a win today would put them in great shape for an at-large bid. Texas has a lot to gain this week if they can follow up their home win against Kansas by beating a good team on the road. Oral Roberts (18-5) @ IUPUI (20-5) - The two best teams in the Summit League go at it. While first place is not on the line here, a road win by Oral Roberts may enhance the prospect of two Summit League teams getting into the NCAA tournament. Oral Roberts will have to figure out a way to stop George Hill, who leads IUPUI in points, rebounds and assists. Memphis (24-0) @ UAB (17-7) - In what might be Memphis's toughest test in conference, they travel to Birmingham tonight. While I think Houston is a better team, UAB hosting this game may give Memphis a tougher challenge. Michigan State (20-4) @ Indiana (20-4) - The Kelvin Sampson drama will overshadow it, but as the Wisconsin-Indiana game proved, this should be one hell of a game. I think DJ White will lift the whole team on his back and carry the Hoosiers to victory. UNLV (19-5) @ BYU (19-5) - The two best Mountain West teams square off here. BYU has to be favored since they have won 45 straight games at home, but lost by 29 points in Las Vegas earlier this year. Washington State (19-5) @ Oregon (15-9) - Oregon needs win to stay on the radar, Washington State needs the win to enhance its profile, as they have struggled in Pac-10 play.

Ken Griffey, Jr. seems to always be throw out of the debate when it comes to people using performance enhancing drugs. -
The thing is though about the "last four in" at-large teams, I do not think will look much different than the five or six that just missed out. Bad losses tonight, Syracuse, Florida, Dayton, Rhode Island, Baylor, Ole Miss I don't think they have any realistic shot of getting an at-large berth, but Cincinnati has a decent chance of getting 11 wins in the Big East. Highlight of the night for me was the IU cheerleaders trying to push the Wisconsin team off of the logo after the game.
-
Yes I would like to strike my Kentucky remarks from the record book. Will be interesting to see how they rebound (Sat @ LSU).
-
Oh I agree, that was dumb on the Villanova player for being anywhere close to him. With the games tonight, can Kentucky be back on the "at-large" barometer with a win tonight at Vanderbilt? A win would put them tied for 2nd with Mississippi State in the SEC, one game behind Tennessee. The HOME losses to Gardner-Webb, UAB and San Diego should make it a simple no, but if they win this game there is a good chance they could go 12-4 in conference play.

Another shake-up in the Top 5 as Kansas loses at Texas. Horrible, HORRIBLE ending to Villanova-GTown. Unless the guy gets knocked out of bounds, swallow your damn whistle. Does anybody have a problem with North Carolina dropping below Tennessee in the Top 5? I know in the grand scheme the rankings do not matter, but even with the Duke loss I cannot believe that UNC is worse (Tennessee put up that stinkbomb against LSU on Saturday).

I will throw out the next question. Will Ichiro make the Baseball HOF? He is 34 going into the season. Here are some of his career numbers going into the year. Runs Scored: 782 Stolen Bases: 272 Hits: 1,592 Batting Average: .333 2-time AL Batting Title -
I think that the G'Town game (and Tenn-LSU) proved yesterday that one you get outside of the Top Tier teams (UCLA, Kansas, Memphis, Duke, UNC) the difference between teams 6-32 is very minimal. Which should make for VERY interesting matchups in the 2nd round of the NCAA tournament this year.

So is it presumed that if Linus has a guy on the boat, that Hurley became one of the '6', since Ben was threatened by Hurley seeing the cabin. And I loved Miles explaining "tell my sister I love her" to Daniel.
-
How well does UConn look right now? Another win on the road in the Big East. Dayton with a big comeback win against Charlotte. Duke is looking VERY good against NC.
-
Tom Chambers was the man! I kind of like what Jim Rome said, "I don't think this deal makes the Suns better, but its great to have Shaq out West". BTW, it would take a hell of a run to get to the playoffs for Miami, even if they do have Wade and Marion playing well. And by hell of a run, I mean not gonna happen. Get a couple wins, enjoy the ride and get a high lottery pick.
-
Noon game halftime thoughts: Villanova HAS to win this game. Can't believe they are in the bottom 4 of the BE currently! If Maryland holds on to beat Georgia Tech I think that solidifies them as the 3rd best team in the ACC right now.
-
I kind of wish they didn't have Hugo say that this episode. We already know that he went with Locke, I don't need to know it went south so quickly. But of course I am interested in how the Oceanic 6 became 'the 6'.
-
What are they going to talk about? How Joe Frazier was backstage? How Flair's love for himself led to a Ron Garvin title reign? I will not buy that it was a premier event when it went to a gimmick PPV what 4 or 5 times?
-
Just read the Pharms article. Hope UCLA people were reading it too.

Good point about Michael & Walt possibly being four and five. So is the dead guy number #6?
-
I read this right before I went to bed last night (Chapter 1 - Stevens). I had to look at other stuff because it made me sick. I always just thought he was a big mouth who couldn't back it up. Didn't know how big of a piece of shit he was (is). I loved the comment from the police, disgusted with the fact charges were not pressed "we find it hard to believe a woman would consent to anal intercourse in an alley."

I say Barry because he seemed more likeable than Marino. With the amount of Division I basketball teams on the rise, is it time for the NCAA to expand the tournament to 72 teams or even 128 teams as some are suggesting? -
Too much winning (relatively speaking). Does Woodson really have a chance to get fired this season?
