Clemson with a huge win today at VTech puts them back on the favorable side of the bubble. If GT wins today I believe that puts Clemson at #8 which puts them in a HUGE game against FSU in the first round of the ACC tournament. Drexel is losing to VCU with about 5 minutes left. If they lose I think that ends their NCAA at-large bid.

Clemson played that schedule earlier in the year. Some of the losses weren't bad, but you can't lose 9 of the 11 games and praise most of them as good losses. While the committee says they go for 34 best at-large teams, and it may be questionable if they do, why reward a team that goes 6-10 or 7-9, even in a major conference? Clemson's "good" wins are only against bubble teams anyway. West Virginia gets beat down by Pitt tonight and I think they are in real trouble if Villanova wins at Syracuse on Saturday (presuming they beat UConn tonight).

I think Texas Tech is your only 11 seed that makes the tournament.
-
How about the fact Winthrop is no lock to get in as an at-large? Although the BB win against Missouri State was huge. Clemson is done barring a deep run in the ACC tourney.

My bad on Duke-Clemson, guess that is tomorrow. Its safe to say this year the difference between at larges 15-35 (and the last 5 out) is much smaller or seems much smaller this year. MVC should probably only get two bids this year, but might actually benefit by having Southern Illinois winning their tournament. (SOS Wise)

Duke v. Clemson rematch tonight. For once I'll be rooting for Duke as I want to see Clemson validate what everybody knew when they were undefeated, that they would be exposed once they hit conference play. As far as bubble teams, I'm tired of hearing about how great the Big East is this year because "X number of teams will have 10 conference wins". While I think the Big East has several somewhat good teams, I do not think anybody beyond Georgetown and Pittsburgh will win more than one game in the NCAA tournament. Its a good conference, but 10-6 ain't what it used to be when there are 16 teams.

A woman in Oakland is claiming he slapped, choked and sexually assaulted her. "With the 18th pick in the draft, the Cincinnati Bengals select Marshawn Lynch" Well I do love Marshawn Lynch, and my roommate has a prop bet on 12 Bengals arrests by Jan '08.

Good games tonight, UCLA v. USC, Duke v. UNC & Florida v. Georgia Plus some other good conference games in lesser conferences.

Carlos Boozer is out for 4-6 weeks. Get ready for a steady dose of Paul Millsap!!! Serioualy though it looks like Utah is destined for the 4 spot anyway, so I'm not too worried. Losing 22 & 12 a night is a killer, but as long as Millsap can stay out of foul trouble, Utah will be fine.

I agree, but it leads to a discussion I had with my roommate the other day. I hate (it seems recently, probably gone on forever), but it seems like everytime D-Wade & Kobe are going to the hoop with the game on the line, they are looking for contact instead of just driving strong to the hoop. They are so explosive 80% of the time they'll get the call anyway, now they just look ridiculous with the pump fakes and jumping in about three feet into the defender.

I feel like Matt Hardy right now. "Vince Carter, you ruined my life." 28 ft. 3 pointer at the buzzer beats Utah 116-115.

I thought it was weird the narrator said Duggan "outsmarted" someone.

I thought the crowd was going to kill that guy.

Does anybody know about Marshawn Lynch's "potential legal issues"? I've heard of it, but not what they might be about.

Well call your cable or satellte providers and demand to them that you get the Tennis Channel. Doesn't come across in text as well as annoying shill. The Tennis Channel is good though because you get some Doubles (Which is great to watch, but will never be big because of the lack of names), tournament coverage that ESPN does not carry and good instructional stuff for coaches like myself. I kind of wish there was less paid programming, but I guess they have to pay the bills.

Did the refs leave their whistles at their hotels? I am an Arizona fans, but you're right, the officiating was TERRIBLE on both sides, no blood, no foul. If Florida & UNC are not at the Final Four, I will be very surprised.

Did anybody see the trailer for Lost during the Suns-Cavs game today, two things look apparent, maybe its already been shown .

I watched with league pass and its right up there with the guy yelling for Dusty Rhodes at Starrcade '85 and some guy who was yelling at a fight that was on HBO last month (I'm drawing a blank on the fighters).

Ugly 1st set aside, a great final. Gonzo did throw it all at him and what more can you say about Federer, down 15-40 with two set points and fearlessly coming up to the net. The angles he was hitting on some shots in the third set, ridiculous. I loved how Roche said "I want Roger out on the clay some more". Good stuff.

What are some of the obscure moments during the Rumble did you like? I know some have mention a few already. In 1992, I loved Jake getting paranoid each time the clock was running down in fear of when Randy Savage would come out.

TV deaths that pissed you off or upset you
Gert T replied to Youth N Asia's topic in Television & Film
I agree with the other posters about The Wire, death in Season 1 merely shows how vicious 'the Game' is. in Season 4 kind of surprised me and showed just how ruthless Marlo would be. -
I think Federer has such control over his topper backhand he can lull people into thinking they can hit a good approach shot on him. He really has great control at varying the depths on his backhands.

I slept from 4 pm to 1 am yesterday so I could see the match (wasn't sure how ESPN would handle the replay), and yeah that was an unbelieveable match. That 3rd game of the second set can pretty much pinpoint when Federer ripped his (Roddick's) heart out. Carillo really brought up a good point that while Roddick does need to improve on his approach shots, Federer's footwork is so unreal he can get set for that shot to hit the angles he did. I said earlier I would be shocked if Roddick would win a set against Federer, but the way Roger dominated I did not see coming.
-
Robredo palyed very well in my opinion. I picked Federer to win this tournament (leap pf faith, I know), but after watching the Robredo match and how well he played at the net, I'll be shocked if Roddick wins a set on him. Gotta set the alarm for Nadal-Gonzo.
