Bengals rookie CB Johnathon Joseph got arrested last night in Kentucky for marijuana possession. Damn shame too as it puts a black mark on his great rookie season.

Did I read it right on the website today, that the Murray-Nadal match ended around 2 am local time?

Yes, horrendous coverage such as that at 10 o'clock when the live coverage started Nalbandian down two sets to none was starting his third set tiebreaker against Grosjean, of course we didn't see it.

What was said? How long before some goof brings a sign that says something along the lines of "Deuce & Domino, I'm gonna pop your Cherry!"? He said something along the lines of "If Cherry carried a skateboard and had half the talent, she could be head of talent relations." And totally said it casually as well.

Jeff Samardzija is out, as he has opted to sign his minor league contract with the Chicago Cubs.
-
Yeah it was, that was damn funny.

I wouldn't say Cleveland is satisfied with their RB situation, although they probably would not select on at #3 or 4. A great line for Reuben Droughns was he was asked what his off-season goals were..... "stay out of trouble". Good call Reub. For Cleveland they would probably love for Michael Bush to slip to them in the 2nd Round, but I am not sure he'll be around.

Had to add my 2 cents in on the series as I finished watching it OnDemand. I think this has the potential to be a pretty good series. Season 1 was pretty good and I like how the final five minutes could set up a Season 2 if it is renewed or be a series ender. Some of the characters are cliched, but all of the actors did pretty good in their roles. I don't know how to do the spoiler tags, but my only gripe with Season 1 was what happened to Castillo's wife. I can check reality at the door when I watch TV, but there is NO WAY she "shows up" at the chop shop after she went for a swim. I guess I also have a problem with Dexter & Brian's location for their final showdown. I would love to see Season 2 have Dexter continue his missions with Doakes and maybe Rita on his trail. And in desparation Dexter has to break Harry's code to end Season 2 to save himself, which could set up a heel Dexter for Season 3.

Well I am too jingoistic not to at least hope Serena makes a pretty god run since she is the only US hope for the womens draw, although I would be surprised if she advanced past the quarters, since she has not played very much. Might just pull an all-nighter with Federer on tap and Roddick-Safin at 3:30.

Yeah I think Berdych-Tursunov will be one of the better 3rd round matches and for some reason I think Grosjean will give your boy Fat Dave fits for awhile.
-
Finally got to watch some Aussie Open today. Murray looked sloppy today. I look forward to see how Berdych will do, I think he can have a nice little run here.

I see Ted Ginn, Jr. as a Peter Warrick type receiver. Warrick was a decent #2 WR for the Bengals before he got the infection from the knee surgery. Of course the problem is he was drafted #4 overall. I would not spend a 1st round pick on Ginn unless I had a big WR lining up on the other side of him and even then I am tentative about it.
-
Cincinnati does not have a third round pick this year. If they get a QB in the draft, it'll be a 7th rounder like Casey Bramlet in 2002.
-
Rick Steiner, put himself over by stiffing the shit out of people.
-
I think Brohm made a good decision going back. He clearly was behind Russell & Quinn so why not go back and try to be at the top of the 2008 Draft.
-
Here's the first fullbacks taken in the last five drafts. 2006: Round 5, #163, David Kirtman USC (Seattle) 2005: Round 5, #158, Justin Green Montana (Baltimore) 2004: Round 2, #55, Greg Jones Florida State (Jacksonville) 2003: Round 3, #85, B.J. Askew Michigan (NY Jets) 2002: Round 3, #84, Lamar Gordon North Dakota State (St. Louis) As far as Brian Leonard goes, I would say that he goes towards the tail end of Day One, late third round.

Peterson was smart coming out this year, he'll be the top RB and a top 6-15 pick as people have mentioned (Houston at #8?) unless Lynch has a tremendous workout. Plus with all of the potential RB's next year (McFadden, Slaton) this was a good move. His injuries are a real concern, but his talent level is amazing when healthy and that will be too tantalizing for teams to pass up.

Marshawn Lynch, RB Cal had declared for the NFL Draft. I see him being the second RB taken behind Adrian Peterson if he comes out. Love to see him around at the #18 pick so the Bengals can be a little more versatile in their backfield as Chris Perry cannot seem to play more than 5 games a year. Anybody have tape of how Joe Thomas played against Michigan this year? I haven't seen much of his games and was wondering how he did against NFL caliber competition.

According to bengals.com, the Bengals are Win and In if Miami wins tomorrow. If the Jets win, scenarios galore, provided the Jets & Broncos lose next week.
-
It may be the same as another mentioned, but the nWo beatdown during the Horsemen-Dungeon 8 man tag was great.

My pastor made a beeline for me since I showed up 5 minutes late for church tonight, asking about the Bengals game. The Bengals season can be summed up in the fact they've lost 3 games by 4 points and that they have lost to each of the top 5 AFC teams. The botched PAT does not bother me as much as how bad the offense played in the first quarter. They should have had 17 points and the Bengals D played their ass off. Looks like the AFC playoff picture gets clear if the Jets win and the NFC is still messy as hell.

In no order, USC-Texas: Best college football game I've ever seen, and one that lived up to the hype, which says a lot. Agassi-Baghdatis: I really believed the crowd willed Andre to this win, as many of the assumed "laws of tennis" were defined (holding serves, big leads blown within a set). I had about 5 people who don't care about tennis watching it with me. That's my barometer of if it was a great match. George Mason-UConn: I've never watched a sporting event where I was fixated on the clock more than the actual score. I was heartbroken when UConn tied it up, and shocked when the 3 didn't go in. Great game. Michigan-OSU: I'm a OSU homer, but it was a great game. Troy Smith showing his Vince Young like qualities in a big game. Mets-Cards NLCS Game 7: I loved the Cards, but I would have bet the farm the Mets were winning after Chavez stole Rolen's HR. This game, while dogged by some is a great example of why playoff baseball is great. Duke-Maryland NCAA Women's Title Game: Maybe it was the gambling, or that I coach women's sports now, but a small part of me died putting this on the list. Great game though. Phoenix-Lakers Series: Can't remember which game were great, but this and the Clippers series was extremly fun to watch. Wizards-Suns, Friday night: Don't usually stay in on a Friday night, but you knew this was going to be an exciting game. Argentina-Mexico WC Round of 16: Good emotion, pretty good game, and one of the prettier goals I've ever seen.

Well I thought the 8 spots in the West were locked up after the Iverson trade, but with Yao out who knows. Damn shame too with the season he is having. Artest on the Clippers would just be a sick frontcourt. Toronto winning the Atlantic, I could see that happening, they are a fun team to watch and certainly look a lot better than they did (playing together) earlier in the season.
