Like Dave O'Brien said though, why was the ball not cleared out? Terrible call though.

Thanks Cena's Writer, I had seen him play about 6-8 games this year and with their guard play I wasn't sure how it translated. I'm cool with a mock draft. Ford had Foye go all the way down to #14 at Utah, which I would love, but there's no way I see that happening. Is that trade just swapping of salaries or does Colangelo just not like that personnel?

I wasn't sure if it was too early to start a NBA Draft thread so I'll just pose the question here; I've seen some sites with Randy Foye as a PG/SG. My question is, can he play PG at the NBA level? BTW Ripper, I'm with you on being excited for this draft, these mock draft boards are all over the place.

I understand your assessment Alf, and I am a pro-Dirk guy, but it seemed like he reverted a lot and settled for too many jump shots. Granted the Heat had the best personnel for help D than anybody else that the Mavericks played in the playoffs.

King, that is probably the best assessment I have heard for Lamar Odom. He still had a hell of a year in Miami before the Shaq trade, so if somebody can harness that up...... yah enigma works.

    2006 NBA Finals

To me the biggest point of the game was with about 5:50 to go and the scored FINALLY tied at 79 (not sure if this was the exact score), but Dallas finally had a chance to take the lead for the first time in the second half, Dirk throws up a three to try to tear the roof off the place, clangs badly, and no lead for the Mavs. Also it was disappointing to see Dallas not take it inside more when Shaq & Zo were off the floor in the fourth quarter. The Wade - Dirk foul with 32 seconds left was just incredulous, but its not like the Mavs played good enough to win the game, or have one gripe.

Not that he Jazz are a game or two away from the O'Brien Trophy, but I seriously hope they do not select someone who won't be a contributor for 3-5 years.

I think O'Bryant busts out too, but I really have no idea what Golden State does, they bother me so much. They have talented individuals, but can never turn it into a team that is better than #10 in the West. Are the Lakers interested in Pittsnogle? That'd be an interesting fit, and maybe not good interesting.......
  11. Rule three, Rey wins after Sabu botches a move. That'll be a short match sir.

What are you a total geek about?

Seconded. I geek for World Cup soccer and WWE promo video pakages. I can't get that damn Shinedown song outta my head after buying the WM22 DVD.

Here's my latest NBA Draft Machine I assembled: (I anticipate flaming from more qualified posters! ) 1. Toronto - Andrea Bargnani PF Italy (Barring a trade-down, no PG is worth the #1 pick, if they want him take him.) 2. Chicago - Tyrus Thomas PF LSU (I'm not sold he'll be better than Aldridge, or he'll be the same player, I think Chicago will like him better.) 3. Charlotte - Brandon Roy SG Washington (I think he'll be a GREAT NBA player, and would be a great fit for the Bobcats, although maybe not the best available.) 4. Portland - Adam Morrison SF Gonzaga (Local ties, plus not giving up/not being able to move Randolph's contract puts Morrison right here.) 5. Atlanta - LaMarcus Aldridge PF Texas (I'm not sure he'll be a star, he could be, plus with Harrington's free agency this could be a great pick.) 6. Minnesota - Rudy Gay SF UConn (Without knowing what KG will do puts the pick in doubt, but Gay is the best available.) 7. Boston - Shawne Williams SF Memphis (First real reach of the draft, but I do not believe that Boston is in love with Wally S., plus Williams' versatility is good at #7. Boston could look for a different Williams at this spot.) 8. Houston - Randy Foye SG Villanova (Houston needs a better shooter at the guard spot and I think Foye is the best available here.) 9. Golden State - Patrick O'Bryant C Bradley (I'm not sold on O'Bryant, but this pick isn't bad for Golden State, who seems to have a plethora of decent lottery picks at most positions.) 10. Seattle - Marcus Williams PG UConn (I don't think Seattle has given up on Ridnour, but Williams is too good to pass up at #10.) 11. Orlando - Rodney Carney SF Memphis (Not really sure with this pick, Orlando seems to have only one great player, and a few good ones.) 12. New Orleans/OK City - Tiago Splitter PF Brazil (Another pick that could go either way, and they could package their two picks to move up.) 13. Philadelphia - Rajon Rondo PG Kentucky (He is rising up draft boards and Philly could use new blood at the point.) 14. Utah - Ronnie Brewer SG Arkansas (Great natural athlete, I believe it will come down to him or Redick.) 15. New Orleans/OK City - Hilton Armstrong C UConn (P.J. Brown can't start at #5 forever can he?) 16. Chicago - J.J. Redick SG Duke (I think they take him solely on the fact they try to package some of their guards to get a priemer big man, but we'll see.) 17. Indiana - Kyle Lowry PG Villanova (The Pacers could go many different directions here, and this pick probably depends on Peja's future.) 18. Washington - Cedric Simmons PF NC State (I'm not sure how successful he becomes at the next level, but he adds some strength down low for the Wizards.) 19. Sacramento - Shannon Brown SG Michigan State (This guy is flying up draft boards and I think Sacto could go many ways.) 20. New York - Shelden Williams PF Duke (I have no idea what the Knicks have planned, and I mean that with no spite. I still believe Shelden can be a decent pro.) 21. Phoenix - Mouhamed Maer Sene C Senegal (Good team, two first round picks, roll the dice Phoenix.) 22. New Jersey - Olexsiy Pecherov PF Ukraine (This pick could get stored away in Europe for awhile.) 23. New Jersey - Mardy Collins PG Temple (I think it's either Collins or Farmar here, I'll take the bigger PG.) 24. Memphis - Quincy Douby SG Memphis (Boom or bust prospect with great individual skills.) 25. Cleveland - Jordan Farmar PG UCLA (This could be a GREAT pick for Cleveland as an eventual replacement for Eric Snow.) 26. LA Lakers - Maurice Ager SG Michigan State (Kobe is big enough to have Ager out there as a SG. Ideally a good PG would fall to the Lakers here as I feel Smush's days are numbered in LA.) 27. Phoenix - Alexander Johnson PF Florida State (I think Phoenix could go smaller here, but I think he is best available. As a second 1st rounder, the Suns could pakage or just select a foreinger under contract for '06.) 28. Dallas - Leon Powe PF California An upgrade over KVH as a backup to Dirk Nowitzki. 29. New York - Aaron Gray C Pittsburgh (Once again, I'm not sure what the Knicks do, but stockpiling a seven footer might not be a bad idea.) 30. Portland - Josh Boone C UConn (The two Portland picks interest me, mostly because they need so much and they have a new GM, who may not be in love with their recent draft picks.)

Is Rajon Rondo rising above Williams as far as the top PG? I've seen a few websites that have him higher now. Any of you guys seen ESPN's Draft Machine? Neat little way to waste about 10 minutes, then it compares your picks with SportsNation (Everyone else) and Chad Ford.

Anyone get the Wrestlemania 22 DVD yet?

I hadn't seen the PPV, so I was hoping that they had a better camera angle on Benjamin's spot, but it was still pretty cool, like he came out of no where. It was funny because I thought the "Benjamin spot" everyone was talking about was when he walked up the ladder and flipped out of the ring. His jump to the ladder at the end was a definite "WTF" moment. It was cool hearing the crowd pop too.

    LOST

The Land of the Simpsons? I'm skeptical too about them planning on being captured, who knows though. I assumed that Penny's father challenged Desmond to go on that race around the world knowing he would crash/get sucked into the island's orbit.

Anyobdy doing anything special for the finale? Watching it with lots of people? I work at a county school that has students from seven different districts, and of course the first graduation night falls tomorrow. Thank you DVR.

Do the Knicks still get the representative to come out and sit with the other teams? I'm not positive that Redick would be a great fit in Utah, but with Kirilenko he can make anybody not look too bad on defense. Whoever talked about Utah's recent draft woes was spot on, sadly.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

Iggy, I wanted Dallas to win, I thought the refs were screwing them over most of the game, but it is really IGNORANT to say they played a perfect game. Did you watch the last 6 minutes? They were playing afraid to lose, they were lucky to get it to OT.

    NBA Playoffs 2006: Conference Semifinals

I think with the Spurs, everybody thought Oberto was going to be a pretty big factor for the Spurs this year, leading towards the repeat. While it is good to have Horry, Van Exel, & Finley off the bench, the bottom line is that you need some youth too. I also think the Spurs should have used Mohammed more. I know he couldn't guard many of Dallas's lineup on D, but what happened to imposing your will on other teams?
