I doubt Locke did pull the long con, because he can only divert the attention to Sawyer for awhile. Jack already doesn't trust Locke after the stunt last night. Kudos to the person who said Locke might keep the statues because Charlie said it was a test from the island, (although it was never implied). Also did anybody think Locke was B.S.ing with Jack when he said he felt bad for Michael being gone, when just a few episodes ago he was ready to leave without him?

Here in Cincinnati its Ken Riley & Ken Anderson. I think Riley should be and Anderson a fringe. Many think if he would have won SB XVI against the Niners that would have pushed him over the top.

Great episode tonight. It was amazing to me because I found two different levels of hate for Sawyer. First, when he decided he would help Locke. Then when he had his speech (which to me sounded similar to Powers Boothe's in Tombstone). And don't get me wrong, he's probably my favorite character, it just means the writers did a great job become I'm sure some of you thought "wow, what an asshole". The deal with Charlie makes it even cooler. Another brilliant part of Sawyer's plan. Pick the most hated person on the island and the one acting crazy lately. To me the final scene also showed that each character has their kryptonite. Sawyer's is obviously getting attached to those he cons. Charlie's is still trying to prove to Claire that he has no interest in drugs. Wanting Locke to look bad is good enough for me. Surprised Charlie didn't ask for a gun in exchange, but we'll see where it goes. I also like Hurley's joke about time being stopped as well, nice little wink to theories out there. Wonder if Locke will try to get help from his "landlords", who may be the only other people with guns right now.

Let's just say congrats to Pittsburgh and pretend like this post-season never happened! Seriously though I hope they don't send Cincinnati out to Heinz for that Thursday night game to start the year. Save that for a MNF game later in the year so #9 will be healthy. I'm guessing they'll go with Denver-Pittsburgh to start out the year. Maybe NY Giants or San Diego-Seattle on MNF. Seattle doesn't have a lot of attractive home games.

"Dust in The Wind". Hopefully Ferrell will be available.

(CH)Air Force. I was close to joining the Navy out of High School, but thought I could quit college if I didn't like it, much harder to do that the other way around.

Yeah Ben got blocked in the back, but I think they held the flag since he probably could not have made the tackle. The league has a huge problem with Holmgren's comments. Don't fine him you make the league and the refs look bad. However, since they didn't fine Joey Porter it would look hypocritical. I say fine him, just because coaches can't say that (for free at least!), even if to rally the fan base.

The worst news out of all of this is how ESPN's executive is saying how MNF will be a great interactive, multi-media ALL DAY event. Imagine five hours of ESPN hoopla for the Packers-Ravens game this past year.

I'm surprised ABC would put the "failed" attempt in there. I thought it was such a huge deal that she was being taken, a little disappointed, but it still creates even more questions. The Others must have thought that Jin's knocked her up and wanted the baby. My question is, how many of the survivors know where her garden is, Locke, Kate & Michael?

I LOVE the Utah Jazz, but they will never win a championship. 98 was as close as it gets.

You forgot about the play because it was just another routine Jerramy Stevens drop.

Michaels should have agreed to the two-match series with Hogan and then double cross him in the cage match. He could have "accidently" slipped while climbing down the cage.

I mean, that although I think he is overrated, I like him because he plays for the Davis Cup teams. And yes I do like the Davis Cup.

Good to see Federer win the Aussie Open so we can speculate for 4 months about the Slam. (I don't think it'll happen, but still good to speculate) The Mauresmo title is not tainted in my opinion as she was the better player in both matches when both her opponents retired (The Henin-Hardene one wasn't even close).

Go find your Mojo, Andy. But I agree he is committed to US Tennis.

So the next episode is from Season 1? Is the one the week after that bringing Danielle back, because otherwise its a pretty random choice of an episode.

I don't totally mind the lack of Army stuff, chronologically it could have been that same day when Jack & Ana-Lucia were talking, and the last episode happened in a span of a day or two. I did like the flashback about Charlie. And you know there has to be one more, (his final descent, after losing his family, leading him to his brother in Sydney, which we only got a small glimpse of). Locke is definitely up to something. Keeping the statues is definetely leverage to keep Charlie as a pawn and looked down upon by the rest of the survivors. And from the trailers he obviously has full control of the arsenal. The trailer for the (next couple episodes?) looks pretty badass, from AL telling Jack how they don't have any fear to Sun (apparently) being kidnapped. I can't wait to see Jin going ballistic.

Clive's fat ass ate one too many cookies......

I had just told my roommate at 4-3 about the Roddick-El Anoyui match from '03............ At least it got more interesting with the racquet toss.
-
The Steelers haven't lost in the whites, the Seahawks haven't lost in the blues, something's gotta give. Uneventful story my ass........

Leena, you're probably right about Ljubicic-Bagdhtis, but I just had to go with one upset in the quarters, and I'm still upset we didn't get Roddick-Ljubicic. Fat Dave is about to stick a fork in Santoro.
-
Well, I went 5 of 8 in the Round of 16. Hopefully I will do better in the Quarters. Federer v. Davydenko - I think this may be the best match of the Quarters. But I think Federer is too focused. Federer in 4. Kiefer v. Grosjean - I knew I should have gone with Kiefer last round. I think he makes it to the semi's with a tough test against Grosjean. Kiefer in 4. Santoro v. Nalbandian - I was way off with Fabrice last round. I'll pick against him again, but this time I think "Fat Dave" puts him away. Nalbandian in 4. Ljubicic v. Bagdhtis - I wanted to see Ljubicic v. Roddick. Oh well, Bagdhtis will put up a good fight, hell I'll take him in the upset. Bagdhtis in 4. Gert's Men's Semi Picks Federer v. Kiefer Nalbandian v. Bagdhtis

Way to answer Bill Simmons's challenge Kobe. What a night between this and the Sonics-Suns finish.
-
I'll take Pittsburgh (ugh) and Seattle.
-
Time to make some Men's Quarterfinals picks: Federer v. Haas - I think Federer comes close to losing a set, but is very focused after the loss earlier. Federer in 3. Hrbaty v. Davydenko - The Pink 'n Black Attack gets sacked. Davydenko in 4. Chela v. Kiefer - My gut says Kiefer, but I'm gonna go with an upset. Chela in 5. Mathieu v. Grosjean - Grosjean is on a roll. Grosjean in 4. Santoro v. Ferrer - I think this will be a great match too. Ferrer in 5. Robredo v. Nalbandian - I think this will be a good match too, but Nalbandian is too strong. Nalbandian in 4. Ljubicic v. Johansson - I am torn on this one. Ljubicic in 5. Baghdtis v. Roddick - I picked Ljubicic just since I want to see Ljubicic-Roddick. Roddick in 3. My Final 8. Federer-Davydenko Chela-Grosjean Ferrer-Nalbandian Ljubicic-Federer
