This Week in College Football 9/8 - 9/10

Impressive opening drive by Notre Dame, and most of it was running a no huddle offense. And yes I too am interested in the Boise State-Oregon State game.

    LOST

I started watching after the first 6 episodes, it hooks you in. With such a diverse and ensemble cast, some stand out, but many are intriguing. If you got the 35 bucks, buy it, you won't be disappointed. I just wish I could find 35 bucks.

    So I'm going to Unforgiven.....

    Anybody Watching the US Open?

Well the US Open obviously would love to see a Federer-Agassi finals. I think Agassi will have a tough challenge against Ginepri, but with Agassi at the majors, you just don't bet against him. And it looks like Sharapova is about 2 wins away from me eating crow.

Wow, the kids at Marshall are going to have to wake up early to start drinking for their game.

    Anybody Watching the US Open?

Roger Federer v. David Nalbandian Lleyton Hewitt v. Jarkko Nieminen Guillermo Coria v. Robby Ginepri Andre Agassi v. James Blake That's your quarterfinal matches. Look for the crowd to be very loud for the Coria-Ginepri match. Ginepri obviously because he's an American, but Coria did not endear himself to the fans based on his last match.

Pretty good match for their debut, and I like them as a change of pace.

The weekly box office top 10

Yeah, I thought it would do well, but the fact it's going to hit 200 million? That's amazing. And it probably means they'll try to throw a shit load of money at Vaughn & Wilson for a sequel.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Yeah, but they didn't play Packers D in any of those! Seriously though that should be an interesting game. Looks like in my neck of the woods we'll get Bears-Redskins on Fox & Bengals-Browns on CBS with Dallas-San Diego the afternoon game.

This Week In College Football 9/1 - 9/5

It is amazing how you can do a week's worth of grocery shopping and get back from the store before the second half starts. That's what a big game will do. Or my strict diet of beer & eggs. Interesting 1st half, and big start to the second half with the blocked punt. And huge goal line stand by Miami.

Good to see no one wanted to win the Ole Miss-Memphis game. I guess Memphis just didn't want it a little more.... Bring on the main event.

I don't know, watching Green Bay put up 52 on a terrible team while scoreboard watching in order to win the fifth tie-breaker was pretty entertaining.

    NFL Opening Week 2005

Nope they played in the Divisional in the Snow Game. Pats played Steelers, Colts, Steelers in their 3 SB runs. Raiders played Tennessee I believe when they went to the SB.

    Hogan/Michaels Backstage gossip

I know this was mentioned about a week ago and when the thread was about HBK & Hogan, but I think that was a great idea by the poster who thinks HBK should have accepted the two match deal with the cage match and then just drop to the floor before Hogan got out. He could just act like he slipped off of the cage before Hogan got out.

Amen, brother. I know the coaches have their little scenarios on charts, but there is no situation that says its a good idea. Even if they just go for the two and miss and score another TD they are still up by 8, putting the pressure on Clemson to score and make the 2.
