Terrible baserunning by Albert Pujols keeps St. Louis off of the scoreboard in the 1st.

Is there a team so hated by its own league

I just think Columbus will be a successful hockey city. True they do not have history, but it is Columbus' only major four sports franchise. I think as passionate of a college football town Columbus is, they will embrace the Blue Jackets since they start when OSU football is winding down. Now management also needs to make better decisions, because let's be honest, winning will definetely improve attendance.

    NBA Offseason Stuff

Isn't that a sad commentary in general that you would rather give away a first round pick then watch them blow it. But if you look at recent history you're right. I'd like the trade straight up if I was Atlanta. Or at least make the 1st rounder float until about 2012, because they might be in the Top 5 until then.

Why is Columbus one of those franchises?

    The Boogieman...

The WWE is right in the Boogeyman vignettes, they do know my deepest fears. Great antlers.

    Triple H Update

I agree JMA, they have done so many false turns between the two of them for me to really care about the storyline, if it was at WM though it would probably get a good nostalgic pop.

    Underrated players you love

For the Bengals I would say TJ Houshmanzhdeh & Madieu Williams. TJ is a the antithesis of Chad Johnson, no blazing speed, no big mouth, but he makes a lot of big catches. Madieu Williams has a lot of Ed Reed like qualities of getting to where the football is at on the field. I thought he had just as good of a season as Johnathan Vilma, and I think if the Bengals pass rush gets better Williams will have a huge season.

    Need some books to read

Hey I am off this summer and wanting to read some good books. Right now I am reading The Inferno by Dante. What are some other good books do you recommend? I am open to any genre. Thanks.

    LOST

I just watched the 7/6 episode tonight, great stuff, anybody waiting for the start of the 2nd season? How do you think the 2nd season should start? At the hatch? In the water? Another flashback? As far as central plot line it should be at the hatch, but I would rather see it start in the water, especially if they cut out some of the scenes as Holloway suggests.

    This Week in Baseball

I, uh, certainly hope this isn't the big move everyone was expecting Hendry to make. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Maybe the Wild Card...... Not a bad tade for the Cubs, but you're right, no blockbuster.

    Beer

Precious Roy, you're an OE fan? You disgust me, but as a 40 fan, I agree you have to be careful on selection, and I think of 40's as appetizers, it gets you drunk quicker, but you shouldn't drink that many.

    NBA Offseason Stuff

Reef is an interesting signing, but not really to put NJ in the upper echelon of Eastern Conference teams. Right now NJ sounds like a fantasy basketball dream team.
  15. I enjoyed the Oz commentary from Episode 16 of Season 4. It was Tom Fontana, Lee Tergesen (Beecher) & Dean Winters (Ryan O'Reilly). I wish there would be a commentary for each episode since there is only 8 per season, and it was such an ensemble cast, you could get a different person per episode.

    This Week(end) in Baseball

Chris Carpenter had another complete game shutout today against the Astros. The man has been on a tear since the beginning of June. I just hope that his arm is strong enough to last into the post season.

    British Open

I think the field does get intimidated when Tiger has a lead, but I think his ability to save par is what really makes him so dominant, he just doesn't give opponents many openings.

    This Week(end) in Baseball

Got to learn the tough DVR lesson last night, as I thought taping a 4 hour block for the Astros-Cards game last night was enough time. At least it got through the top half of the 13th My question for Skipper is this, what numbers will Raffy have to get to? (I know his argument is based on "dominace") He is still productive now, so he is not just hanging around to collect stats like Fred McGriff was a few years ago.

Is Abyss cool with Father Mitchell, or is it one of those "reluctant alliances"? Did I even spell reluctant right? Thanks for all the answers BTW

    No Surrender

Thanks man, I'll try to talk this bar into purchasing it. I can drink whatever the cost and make him a profit. Seriously though it sounds like a great card. What's the background to the Raven-Abyss match?

    Major problems for TNA

Shawn Michaels as he faced Sid at Survivor Series. Sid beat Vader in a No. 1 contender match at IYH: Buried Alive.
