I just laughed when JR talked about how Booker T was a 5-time WCW Champion, but that does not really compare to this title. Now I know it was just a sell for the PPV, but my question is this, will a Booker T title reign (if it happens) mean anything at all? I mean I've heard the argument of belts are just props, but especially if he wins it at WM then Austin-HHH or Nash-HHH start a feud then Booker wouldn't even be the focal point of Raw, the show with the less credible championship. This is probably just a moot point anyway because he'll probably lose Sunday, but I was just struck by the irony of JR's comment.

"I've been a long time fan of you Kimmy Jim"

Just stay out of India WWE......

Sorry I was more just mocking JR's comments and the Raw title in general, but one other comment on HHH-Booker T, isn't funny how this buildup is much like at No Mercy, start with some crappy shock angle that's over-the-top (necrophila, racism) that gets panned by everyone, and as the event nears they start to draw away from it. I guarantee in the video package at WM, none of the racist comments will be included, just the "your not in my league" stuff.

Vince doesn't eat crap like cereal for breakfast, he has a steady diet of steroids. None of that cereal crap!

I agree NoCalMike, its always a get together, and I'm sure my group will be larger because a couple extra will show up for WM. And if the show starts to get bad, there's always booze for backup entertainment.

I think the WWE is banking on Hulk-A-Stalga running wild again, and the crowd will be worn out if that match does not go last, therefore taking away from the others. It is reasonable thinking if not totally delusional! Problem is they are trying to re-create last year without a good/real wrestler to face Hogan. "It's not gonna be a match, it'll be a fight." TRANSLATION: 50 year old vs. Non-wrestler "20 Years in the Making" TRANSLATION: Yes, Hulk's opponent is 20 years older than his WMX8 Opponent I think this match is only going to go as far as the Safeco Field crowd wants it too, if they're really hot it may be at least watchable.

Maybe have it so the GM will reward the winner with a title match on the next show, that way guys will try to team up on guys for the good of their show, but backstab each other for the title shot. I don't love battle royales either, but i agree if they can find a way to get every body on WM reasonably.

Although bad spelling has been covered, I was impressed by the "Welcome to Clevland" sign at No Mercy 99. Also I love the people who at TV tapings are still holding the signs up after the live Heat was over (1999), and the fact they were sitting on the wrong side of the arena.

I understand the comment of actors getting typecast, but really how diverse has Chan's US film roles been?
-
My guess is that Rey gets the DVD because he's wrestling full-time so marketing department thinks a Rey DVD would sell more now since they could shill the hell out of it before his matches. Although I'd like to see a graphic saying "Buy Ric Flair's DVD" as he's tagging along behind HHH.

CV, thanks for the input, yeah I think the Texans could probably go about four different positions at the #3 pick.
-
Yeah really, thanks a lot St. Joe's now the A-10's 0-2, we'll never get 3 teams in again. And the A-10 may not be great, but that's because our 7-12 are REALLY bad. Don't know what happened to my Flyers last night. Sure Tulsa probably shouldn't have been a 13, but I don't care because you really have to have the mentality that you can beat anybody. Do any of you think Tulsa was seeded so low since Fresno was the regular season WAC Champ?
-
Yeah I heard about that Kentucky snafu, that's just stupid, how many f'n resources do these guys have? Yes BYU's is obscure, but they should have had some checks, but not knowing where a site is and where that puts the region is terrible!

Besides the "dead-on-water" guys what really kills Velocity and Heat is that about 20 minutes are just a recap of Raw & SD.

This will be like No Mercy, push it tastelessly too far, and then from the negative feedback, and lack of interest by fans will edit out all of the racial overtones at the PPV.

Congrats Asheville, you have earned a trip to "lovely" Dayton, OH!

Seriously, does Dick Vitale not know the math, he'd love to see Creighton & Southern Illinois both in and Butler no matter what, yet still thinks Texas Tech and Colorado should be in too, I mean does he even look who's on the bubble or just think there are 65 at-large bids? I do think both Creighton and Southern Illinois should be in, but I have no sympathy for a team like Butler who lost in the first round of the Horizon League tournament. I mean how many other conferences had a team lose in the first round and still get an at-large. What do you all have the conference breakdown at, here's mine, of course subject to change. SEC-6 Big Ten-6 Big East-6 Pac 10-5 ACC-4 C-USA-4 A 10-3 MWC-2 MVC-2 Every other conference one each Also, I had Fresno penciled in as the WAC champ, how about that? There must be some serious violations there if they are declaring themselves ineligible two weeks before the tournament. Oh well they slept with the dogs and they are getting their fleas.

The thread's so long I can't remember who had the sweet "French Military Victories" sig, or who had the Donkey Kong comment.... I also agree Kurt shouldn't wrestle, and if he does why not Wrestlemania, but perhaps it is going to be done on Smackdown because it will be taped and if anything goes wrong they can edit, or just drop the segment all together and hatch something else up on the fly.

MLB: St. Louis Cardinals- rebelling as a six year old since the rest of my family was Twins fans, ironically have not been back to the Series since. NFL: Cincinnati Bengals- I blame my friend goading me into getting season tickets for being sympathetic towards this "team". NBA: Utah Jazz- Last team Tom Chambers played for a sustained amount of time. NHL: St. Louis Blues NCAAF: Ohio State- I think it was easier being a fan before this year. I didn't wear my national title shirt until February, you wouldn't believe how much Ohio State stuff is out here in Ohio! NCAACB: Dayton Flyers- First college basketball game I went to, rough teams in 90's but always great fans. NCAAH: North Dakota Fighting Sioux: Parents went there.

Sorry I guess I didn't get the Big 12, I think they'll get 6, with currently Colorado over Texas Tech
-
I think the 4th ACC will be NC State, because I think they'll win one more game and everyone seems to have a hard on with a winning ACC record never not getting in. But I could see NC State as a 10 or 11 seed. I also think Colorado getting in as a 12 because if they win against OK State ( @ home ) and I believe Nebraska they'll have 19 wins before conference tourney.

Hey just watching No Mercy on DVD, and realized how much Flair has been entertaining out there as a manager. He seemed to work harder than both Shawn & HHH at Armageddon and was the only person people cheered for in the HHH-Steiner matches. My question is HHH only seems to have him to compare how great he is to a legend like Flair. Because of this should Flair only manage Orton & Batista? I am glad he is not wrestling anymore because the Jericho & RVD matches were mediocre at best, but is he just wasting his time with HHH?
-
I always thought or hoped Flair was setting him up for a turn and one match deal since HHH was telling him how washed up and how the game has passed him by back at Unforgiven, but I agree, strictly a one shot Raw deal, oh and going back to my original thread, I guess coming out only Orton & Batista is out for awhile!
