I was waiting for it too. But they'll probably run through it when they do 1997. Maybe they'll even show the wm match.
-
They must be why everybody hated it.... Oh wait.

Duh. Sunny > All

This show's way better than raw

That's all you ever had at one time for contention of the belt. 1997 had Bret, Shawn, and Undertaker. 1998 had Austin and Undertaker. Then Foley and Rock at the end. 1999 had Austin, Undertaker, Foley, and Rock. The problem now isn't that they're so few title contenders. It's that Jericho and Benoit have been there for 3 years and they're in the exact same spot! It's fine for HHH to have a long title reign in 2000, as he had just became a main eventer. Benoit and Jericho feuding with each other over the IC title was right where they belonged in 2000. Jericho beat HHH clean, Benoit beat Rock a few times, and Angle won the world title. Same way in 1999. Corporate Ministry was worse. At least in 2000, you had matches that went longer than 5 minutes. We had better matches on RAW in 2000 than we had in most PPVs in 99. They had to change because of the PTC. 2000 had plenty of new personalities, like Edge & Christian, Angle, and Jericho. Biker Taker. Rikishi and Too Cool. Even if you don't like them, they was different. The product wasn't as stale as it is now. I don't think Russo had a whole lot to do with 97 and 98. What he did in WCW showed that he didn't have a clue how to run a wrestling promotion. Whoever wrote Hart/Austin and Hart Foundation/USA and McMahon/Austin was a genius. Russo isn't capable of that.

Kefka wasn't in the entire WOR up until the end Terra's definitely the main character in the first half of FF6. Everything revolves around her.
-
The only thing he's thinking about most of the time is himself. He never feels sorry for hurting anyone's feelings. It's all about him. When does he give a shit about anyone else before Rinoa falls in a coma and he's suddenly in love with her?
-
I don't expect him to give a shit about her problems. Just to be a little less of an asshole in brushing her off.
-
Or maybe it went over yours. Dude, did you even read my post? I knew he changed and I knew about Ellone so I had to at least make it to the end of the 2nd CD. I played enough of it to get sick of him always putting everyone down and thinking to himself "Why don't they leave me alone?" or "What do they want from me?" every 10 minutes.

2000 was one of the best years for WWF, much better than 1999.
-
Not too many, thank god. I know he changes but for most of the game he's a complete asshole. You're supposed to be able to relate to the main character more than anyone in the game because it's a ROLE playing game. Why would you want to role play a shithead like Squall? Maybe if he had good reasons for being such a jerk. But he doesn't. The best they could come up with was he lost his sis when he was little. Well lots of people lose loved ones and they don't hate everyone.

So....... what you're saying is there's absolutely no way you could go into detail about why you like the show without giving away what happens at the end of the seasons. Do I have this right? How on earth is what you did better? You didn't even say why you thought the stuff that happened was good, you just said it happened. Well that's terrific. And yet you're the only one writing 20 paragraphs on it a day. Um, not really. The first thing Mole said in his post was that it was an essay on season 3. So in case the first guy that posted ever plans on still watching the show, he wont read it.
-
Squall was an asshole. His "go tell it to a wall line" after Quistis just poured her heart out to him sums his whole character up to me. When he wasn't being a jerk he was whining about all his problems. What a guy. See Cloud only had no personality. He didn't make you want to stab his eyes out with something. That makes him better.
-
Way to spoil the show for him if he ever decides to watch it RRR... He wanted you to tell him why you like it, not describe the show from start to finish. Not to prove to him that you're the biggest fanatic on it.
-
I can't decide between Cloud and Squall. I guess Squall. Cloud was bad, but at least he didn't the game unplayable.
-
since when do refs look at replays?
-
I wonder if he'll get to keep "You sanctimonious son of a bitch!" He still says assclown and junior.
-
Hah, who called it? So they're not going to throw away the one good thing RAW has going for it story-wise? Huge shocker there.
-
It was a collaborative effort of Bob Barron's keen detection sense, and my mod powers. We put the bitch to rest. Burn...

That's the thing, his back wasn't bad to begin with. He just didn't know it until the middle of the match where he was making a comeback after taking all of HHH's punishment and he wasn't in much pain. The proof is in how he won the world title 3 months later and he can work a regular schedule now. He didn't have a bad back. After WM14, he had to retire. He sold the hell out of it? Well yeah if someone drives their knee into your back its going to hurt like hell. But it will wear off, it won't cripple you or make you stay down. Yes, that's sorta what adrenaline does.
-
The story going in the match was that he might be a vulnerable cripple. But that's not the story OF the match. The point of "no selling" in the second half was that he ISN'T a cripple. His back really wasn't as bad anyone thought, including himself. He was the same resilient athletic guy that he was before. The stuff HHH did hurt him but it didn't cripple him. And you can do a kip up with a really hurt back because of adrenaline. Uh oh, there's that word again. See WM14.
