What's shitty? Everything sounds good except for WCW.

on PPV, i meant to say

What? Every match on it was solid from top to bottom and one of them was fucking awesome (the 6 man). Two were pretty good, the triple threat and RVD/storm. But nothing was really bad. The only other PPV I can say that for is Canadian Stampede. And plus it was the start of ECW.

Bret/Owen was great but there wasn't really anything in it, outside of maybe the upset win that would have people go back and say "this is the match that started something" or a worker go back and say "I need to watch this to help prepare for this specific match". If you think about it, it wasn't that different from some of Bret's other big matches, like with Mr. Perfect. I think it was missing something to put it into that super special level that way too many put it in. HBK/Razor gave a lot more of a lasting impression and totally overshadowed Bret/Owen on that night. It was years ahead of its time. One of the first crazy matches WWF ever had. Although some might not see that as a good thing. However Owen/Bret doesn't have any historical significance at all except for Owen winning. If you want to put a Bret/Owen match on there, it's gotta be the cage one since that was about 10x better as well as innovative and the most realistic and best cage match ever.

No Guerrero/Malenko? I'd put that on instead of Rey/Guerrero. And it's kinda weird that it's got two Austin matches but only one HBK and Hart. But I like it, it sounds good.

Holy shit. It's a dumb storyline. Why would you push something this retarded for 20 pages? Are you trying to get us all to agree with you?

Such as love triangles? Something that was around in the 80s (Hogan/Savage/Elizabeth) and probably earlier?

So what you're saying is WCW dying had nothing to do with WWE's ratings. Gotcha. The people that were leaving WCW didn't go over to WWE. They just left. Or if they did, they didn't stick around hopelessly addicted to it. Fans started leaving WWE when the product started sucking. If Shock TV was what actually drew people in, they wouldn't have stayed for 2000. More than that, it wouldn't have done better business than the shock TV years. There's no way to get around that point.
-
This ignores the fact that 2000 was a better year for WWE than any one Russo was a part of. If ratings went up for Russo, they should have immediately went down when he left, right? dont forget that wcw was going under and people were switching over more and more. not to mention that they were seeing a fresh face ala kurt angle, WCW going under completely really spiked the ratings up in WWE for 2001 and 2002, huh? Jesus fucking Christ, is a love triangle Shock TV now too?
-
What the fuck? The time we're talking about is 98-00. That's what we want. And security guards aren't shock TV.

Like what? The economy? Ratings went down and excitement is at an all time low, face facts. It had some shock TV but the main reason people were tuning in was to see Austin buck authority and make his boss's life a living hell. Security guards aren't shock TV. What's shocking about that?

they haven't been given a chance because they dont stand one. None of us have even sent in our ideas so of course they don't stand a chance you moron...if we sent them in the WWE would probably thank us, use it on TV and tell us to fuck off the wwe watches the internet. they see what you write. if it was any good it would be on tv right now. Yes but explain why what is on TV IS NOT GOOD! Why it isn't drawing ratings. Like we've said. What we're all suggesting DREW HUGE in 2000 and they basically abandoned it for your style of writing and the ratings PLUMMETED. So once again you prove that you are a complete moron. no actually it didn't. vince russo was responsable for winning the monday night wars. he did it with attitude and shock tv. LMAO, if he won the ratings wars, why couldn't he win them over at WCW?

Exactly. It's because they won't push him. That's it! So how can you pretend like the storylines of 98-00 won't work because there's not enough talent..... when in reality they have all the talent they need, they only refuse to use it?! They did give him the world title though and sometimes he's in 4 segments a night. Maybe your soap opera writers are just clueless about wrestling and don't have any idea on how to build anyone up. Here's a solution. Hire back all the writers from 97-00. Go back and watch the coldplay video. There's nothing corny about it. They did, in the summer of 2001. They didn't exactly get many chances to besides that. He was a heel before the Royal Rumble and he went to waste afterwards. Shawn and Bret weren't big either but Vince didn't have a problem with them. And please note that even though they aren't doing anything with him, he's still over and according to the ratings chart, brings in a ton of viewers.
