Well I'd contribute if the webcast worked on my computer. All I got was sound from the last couple of times someone linked it. I don't think it likes Win95 too much. Damn, I would actually pay the full price for it too, but I don't have a box.

What server do you use?

Only problem I have is him getting pushed instead of those guys. Like say when he gets a match already lined for Summerslam, and Jericho doesn't. Or when he gets to take his place and fight the guy that Jericho should be going over at SS. I don't want to see HBK's torch get passed on to someone who might not even have what it takes to make it at the top. What a waste that would be.

Because you hate everybody. No mystery there. Orton: we hate him because he's in a stable with HHH and he has family connections! Cena: he can't wrestle as good as Kurt Angle, so he must suck! Plus I hate rap LOLZ O'Haire: He's just another hoss with no moves! Never mind I've never actually seen him in WCW! Brock: he got the belt too fast! Batista: He took steroids! Eddie Guerrero would never do that! Haas and Benjamin: they wrestle good but they're so green! I know, they should make Benjamin rap and make Haas Satanic! Why can't WWE think of good characters like that?! If you guys just want to convert WWE to the Chris Benoit and Friends Happy Variety Hour, that's fine. But at least come out and say as much instead of pretending you actually want some new faces, than bitching when you get them. It's already proven that Eddy, Benoit, Jericho, and RVD can work and that fans can care about them. With Orton, you don't have either one. So why give him of all people that kind of push? If anybody should be the legend killer, it should be the King of BLING BLING.

HBK Praise after watching his match vs. Y2J on RAW

No... I told you, if he had made him submit right after Orton knocked him out, then it wouldn't be putting him over. But seeing as how he fought back and had some energy left, it is. It didn't do shit to make Shawn look better. He quit. He gave up because he couldn't take the pain. Not because he couldn't go anymore. He actually could go and was trying to make attempts to break it. How often did Shawn ever submit? That puts him over huge, and makes his finisher look brutal. If it makes Shawn give up, it must hurt. A win doesn't have to be totally clean to put someone over. For one night, Jericho came out looking a lot better than HBK, and that's that. (Did you miss the part about him being in control for most of the 25 minutes?) Well the problem is he's not old and worn down. He's 38. There's no talk of him retiring, having a last match, opponents ending his career, or anything like that anymore. Since coming back, he won the world title, beat Triple H clean twice, and takes huge bumps every time he wrestles. He's obviously not that injured. It doesn't make him weaker or stronger. Shawn just gives one last effort to turn it around. Of course he usually ends up on his ass right after it, so I can see where you're coming from when you say he gives nothing back. ...........Oh wait, I don't, that's some bullshit. He couldn't even make the cover when he did the super kick. All it does is get the fans more into the action. So the best thing for HBK is to make it look like Jericho is on his level instead of just squashing him and making him his bitch like HHH did. -
HBK Praise after watching his match vs. Y2J on RAW

How can tapping out to the guy's finisher not make him look better? Jericho was in control for most of the match. HBK used a chair on Chris and put him out, and Orton came in and put Shawn out. He still had fight left in him though, because he kicked out. Just winning doesn't = going over, but he could've gotten pinned right after the RKO you know. If he was as much of a bitch as you guys say, he would have. Because the 3 minutes after that definitely didn't do anything to help him out or Orton. Coach is a dumbass, period. He even gave away the kick out with his "That's probably it for HBK" crap. And sometimes it doesn't, like with Angle. It'd be pretty stupid to sit out 5 years and miss out on the best time of your career, THEN come back and take crazy bumps. And what's wrong with dragging him to the corner? He brought him to the place where he couldn't power out of it. He'd either have to travel a long way to get to the ropes or break his back trying to twist his body to get to the closer ones. Seems like the perfect spot. Why is a semi-retired wrestler even an issue anymore? They stopped mentioning his back problems on TV. He wrestles on RAW's and house shows. No, cause he's supposed to be trying to fight through the pain. He was standing real straightened up, like he was trying to put a lot of effort out to do it. Not no selling. That's great, but it makes it sound like you'd hate whatever he did no matter what. (Unless he crippled himself) -
HBK Praise after watching his match vs. Y2J on RAW

Let's see. Going over, Michaels was able to attempt to power out of Jericho's move, and then had enough energy to struggle all the way across the ring. Yet Jericho still overpowered him and dragged him back, oh and by the way his move was so painful that Shawn had to tap. It's not like HBK was knocked out from Orton's move. Even that was just exchange from him using the chair to superkick Jericho to begin with. It's not 100% clean, but you're a complete idiot if you think he didn't put him over. Yeah, he made the whole thing up. Holy shit, he wasn't facing those ropes. Chris had it locked in, all Shawn could do was pull forward. Also yeah, you do lean forward when the corner is giving you extra leverage. He can't make Jericho fall down and break out of the hold when he's using the turnbuckle to hold himself up, can he? Okay, burst of adreniline doesn't = no selling. Right, and there's no way you would possibly hate everything about the match just because you hate Shawn so much. Lemme guess, you're still pissed about Montreal too. -

I know everybody loves the King of Bling Bling, but wtf? The first 5 minutes came straight from ironman. -
Except Bret always talks about how he's happy fans don't let Vince forget it. Well then he's an idiot for expecting him to just ignore them forever.
-
He focused his chi. See, no plot holes.
-
I see where you are coming from and you aren't necessarily wrong, but Bret does carry on about how he and his "Hitman" character have integrity. I see that integrity being compromised the minute he hits WWE TV and they score a rating/buyrate/buck off of him. If he comes out unannounced, I could live with it a little, but not much. He can still reach his fans without going on WWE TV though. Just my $0.02. I thought he just said he wouldn't work for McMahon anymore. I don't see what's wrong with him coming out and talking for one night, especially if it's unannounced.
-
No, because then we wouldn't only have to watch the same kind of show twice a week, but we'd also have to watch the same guys doing the same things twice a week. Could you imagine Vince and Zach getting air time on both shows? Bad idea. I hope it never ends.
-
Including the hi-lite reel AND Theodore Long? I think you might be drinking a little bit of haterade there playa. Even most of the people who hated the Kane segment thought it was going fine until JR got set on fire. There's some continuity problems, but Kane, Bishoff, Austin, and Jericho did such a great job trying to make it work. It's either that or going back to pretending like he's burned when we can see he isn't.
-
A wizard did it.
-
Damn. Well, someone sure is a Negative Nancy.
-
Of course he's a big heel. He gets more boos than anybody else, maybe out of the whole company when he comes to the ring. But he's the kind of heel that people actually like to boo, like a Kurt Angle. He's funny, and even if you hate him, you gotta admit he's entertaining.
-
Not if Undertaker never saw his real face. They're still going along with the fire idea. UT thought he was dead all those years. And Paul Bearer just tried to manipulate him and made him think he was burned.

1)flair-steamboat clash 6 17)bret-austin wm13 I totally don't get all the love for WrestleWar. After their awesome Clash match, it was like they forgot how to do everything but chops and armdrags.

WTF, why was SD taped?
-
USA/Canada was Bret's whole gimmick as a heel though. The way you're supposed to see it is Bret never changed at all. It was everything else that changed. The attitude changed, and the US fans changed. Fans in the early 90s wouldn't have cheered a rattlesnake instead of him. The business wasn't so cutthroat then, everybody didn't get screwed out of matches all the time. "There's kind of a new motto in the WWF, you scratch my back, and I'll stab yours" Foley wasn't exactly someone that would stab him in the back. Mankind wasn't a bad guy, he was just a little messed up from having a strange childhood and making his living in deathmatches. If you can't picture the bret hart character, face, heel, or real life since they're all the same, hating him, it's probably not a good idea to do it. Mankind's abilities wouldn't be much of a challenge, heh. In terms of storyline, Mankind was the guy that gave it his all for 10 years and could never make it to top. On the other side Bret was one of the best if not the best ever.
-
I know he wouldn't have a problem with anybody else, but you have to expect him to job to HBK some time. He was beginning to overshadow Hart as a heel. Bret would get the title back and even go on to main event Wrestlemania. In the end, the only person he'd really put over would be Austin. Now that seems kinda weird to me because the obvious choice to have is HBK vs Austin at WM. So I don't know how Bret could pass that up. He'd lose at Montreal (only makes sense because he won throughout the year), but he'd get his win back. I could see Foley/Bret, but I could understand why they wouldn't do it too. The whole multiple personalities and goofiness just wouldn't go with USA/Canada which was completely serious. Bret had real reasons for not liking everybody including the fans. What would he hate about Foley? How could Foley make him bitter? Bret wasn't the type of heel to beat up and make fun of the poor deranged schizo. That was DX's job.
-
I think he would and did give a shit because it put him beneath Michaels. He refused a program that would put him over Shawn at the end of their feud, to take the belt to drop it to Austin in the main event of WM, just because it was more losses than wins. That's where he decided to go to WCW. Who knows with Foley? He was a mid-carder in the middle of the Dude Love thing, you know it might not have been all that good of a fit. Bret was in his 100% serious war on USA mode, Foley in the meantime was getting over by being funny. Patriot/Bret was set before Summerslam. Dude was set to defend the tag titles with Austin at Ground Zero, although Austin getting injured threw him in limbo. All he did then was go back into his other storyline with HHH that had been going all summer and led right into him fighting DX.
-
Jericho's debut. Everybody knew he would show up, but not with that kind of entrance, and not by interupting the Rock. It looked like they made a main eventer out of him in one night. Of course things didn't actually turn out that way. Rock winning at SS. I was sure it would be Taker/Austin in the final. KOTR98: I still don't know how someone could walk in and go "I think I know what we could do, you could have me thrown off the cell, and then I could climb up and get thrown off again", and they would be like "Good idea, let's go with that" Hearing Foley won the title. Because it was a taped RAW. This would be sorta like hearing today that Benoit had beat Brock for the title next week on Smackdown.
-
It's about why Shawn was main eventing instead of Bret at the time. Mankind/Bret would have been better than the stuff with the Patriot obviously, however Bret was still becoming #3 in the company by that point. It's again nobody's fault, he just wasn't as valuable a commodity as he once was. Not enough at least in McMahon's eyes to make an effort to hold on to for double the salary of any other WWF star.
