I heard Fantasia on the radio the other day. Her voice still sounds like nails on a chalkboard. I don't have a clue how she won.

Buffy was called Buffy: the Vampire Slayer yet there were hardly any vampires on the show! LOL! Joss sucks!
-
Forgot to mention Chris Masters's theme. It sounds Xenogears-ish.

Hmm, how's this a dumb argument? Because no one but you would start an argument over a title. No one here cares if the title is right or wrong, why does someone that doesn't like the show care about it?

RRR's new gimmick = Best thing on TSM

Dx's Bret Hart's Austin's (although Disturbed was a lot better) Gangrel's The Nation's when the Rock was the leader Undertaker's first one, the one he has now, and Ministry Jericho's Rockers

You must really hate Xenogears and FF6 WOB then.

I actually probably would put him on a list of top ten main characters. What makes Tidus so great is he's so unlike Cloud and Squall. For all the reasons that those two were shitty characters, he's exactly the opposite. While Cloud and Squall are angsty, depressing, mopey, and boring, making it mind boggling that a bunch of people would choose to be around them, Tidus is energetic, a generally happy guy, and seems like he'd be fun to be around. Cloud and Squall seem like assholes, but Tidus is nice to everybody he meets. And despite having a lot of problems of his own (such as his father being Sin, never being able to go home again, not even existing, etc..), he's always more concerned about everyone else than himself. He's only mopey one single time in the game, when he finds out his dad is Sin, and he's immediately broken out of it by Yuna. You won't catch him saying "I don't care about the planet." or "Tell it to a wall." He's a real hero. Also like Yuna, he's always trying to stay positive, no matter what, and by being positive keeps everyone else positive in a world where everything revolves around death. He's optimistic and thinks everything will work out even though it looks like there's no possible way it could work out, such as being sure that he would find a way to kill Sin without Yuna dying and promising her that he would, just because he was determined to find it. I don't see why anyone wouldn't like him. Or Yuna. They were a breath of fresh air for RPGs. I don't have a problem with the voice acting either. It added a lot to the game.

Definitely emulator. You don't want to play CT with loading time.

Didn't they learn in 2002 that Hogan doesn't do anything for ratings? This was the first week I didn't watch in a long time BECAUSE I knew hogan was going to be on it. (oh and also because the main event was just HHH vs JR)

Get a SNES emulator and download Lufia 1, Lufia 2, and Earthbound.

I don't think many people would put FFV over FFIV or FFX. But you're right about FF7 and FF6. FF7, I've never understood why it was so popular, I couldn't stand it. FF6 is a good game, however imo the World of Ruin keeps it from being the best all around.

Pshh. It's still the best FF. And I had fun with FFX-2, that's more than I can say for the PS1 FFs at least. Well I don't know what you played or didn't play. Xenogears stands head and shoulders over every RPG ever made. (hell every game ever made) Suikoden 2 is great. Dragon Warrior 7 is great. Then there's FF4, FF6, Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana, the Lufia games, the Lunar games, and Earthbound. Every RPG fan should have played all of those. For newer RPGs, I heard Disgaea is supposed to be good but I've been too busy with RE4 to play it much. Stay away from Xenosaga or the Tales of games or the Wild Arms series.

Some interesting Survivor Series 1997 stuff

How do you know he could work fine? Even Bret said on one of those shoot tapes that he was starting to believe him before he came back too fast. last major PPV -

Remember that Shawn got injured? Like Vince said, refusing to lose the title to Shawn at his last major PPV wasn't reasonable. Um, he wasn't. No one was talking about that. -

The rant had to do with why Vince was right. Shawn was right because Vince was right and doing what he wanted. -

That's what I thought but Meltzer says right there that by Survivor Series he would only drop it to Shawn in december if Shawn put him over first. Even so, that doesn't make it much better. It would be like HHH refusing to put over Benoit or Batista at WM and instead wanting to do it on a Raw or at Backlash in a 4 way. -

This is nothing new. It's all OFN. Michaels and Vince were still completely in the right. Bret was leaving on his own free will, there's no way they should have to rearrange their shows to protect a guy LEAVING for the competition. Bret had reasonable creative control. Refusing to job to the top guy at a PPV after Bret and Canada won all the time that year is not reasonable. Bret and Canada already won Canadian Stampede, the flag match on Raw, the flag match at Bad Blood. Bret made the Patriot submit clean at Ground Zero, beat Austin every time they faced each other, and got the world title from the Undertaker at Summerslam. But oh, losing to Shawn at survivor series would have been too much of a letdown for Canada and he couldn't do that. However he offered to lose to Shamrock or Taker (which would have made no sense) in a 4-way at a meaningless IYH PPV. What a generous guy! He also offered to lose it to the Brooklyn Brawler. Well that makes everything okay. I don't know why Vince didn't go with that. Maybe the Brooklyn Brawler could have main evented WM. -
I'd love a CD full of rockers matches.

What a poor guy.

If that's true, then why were the storylines in WCW 2000 and WWF 1999 so bad compared to WWF 97 and 98?

Who was the writer in 97 and 98?

How much is WM 21 gonna cost this year?
chaosrage replied to David Blazenwing's topic in The WWE Folder
How much is the webcast? I'm not paying $50 for a wrestling PPV. Even in 97-00, I wouldn't do that. -
Is it because of the fact that HTQ is so easily amused? Or that he made an ass of himself and then backed off? Or is it because his super awesome debating skills are saved for people of true importance such as chaosrage, a man with cookie monster as his avatar? Maybe seeing that C really is for cookie inspired HTQ to his inspiring commentary on HHH not winning this year but winning EVERY WM main event to come. Do you have something against cookie monster? I think that's ban worthy. And HTQ's post made sense, but I still can't see HHH losing WM twice in a row. That's not HHH's style. His style is to win every WM main event to come including this WM.

No way is HHH losing twice in a row in the main event of WM. I can't see that happening.
