Yah I'm pretty sure Droese would've been fired for that...oh wait. Still though I doubt. Meh this pretty much cements what I've heard: Haku, Andre and Steiner are the toughest guys in the biz. Orndorff I didn't know was that tough, if this is true.

Sad, very sad news. RIP Barry

I can see Brock/Angle at SS. My card: Main Event: WWE Title Brock Lesnar© vs Kurt Angle - Brock has a 1 year run and turns heel at Survivor Series and Kurt beats him clean in the middle of the ring. "Legends Match" Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan - It's MSG so I'd put Hogan over clean in a double retirement match. Raw Title Booker T vs Chris Jericho© - Jericho ended HHH's long World title run in a heel/heel match and now Book goes over clean in his last WM. US Title Chris Benoit vs John Cena - The winner faces Angle at JD. Benoit goes over clean and finally gets belt in a face/face match at JD and wins both belts ala Warrior at WM6. Tag Team Title Interpromotional Match The Dudley Boyz© vs The Best Damn Tag Team Period© - The two brands champs meet in a unification match with the TBDTTP going over. Cruiserweight Title Match Ultimo Dragon© vs Rey Mysterio Jr. - Ultimo took Rey's belt at SS and since they've had a slow burn feud building to a clean Rey victory. The Rock vs Rob Van Dam - Rock gives RVD the rub by putting him over clean. Shawn Michaels vs Matt Hardy - HBK and Matt start a feud in the Rumble and it builds for two months with promos until they meet and HBK does the right thing by putting Matt over clean. IC Title Kane vs Triple H - Kane maybe costs HHH the belt and they feud. Kane is IC champ and it leads ot this with Kane going over clean. Interpromotional 6 Man Le Resistanse & Lance Strom vs Undertaker & Some other US team not named APA - Taker goes over clean in a pro-USA moment and retires with his streak intact.

found: 2 strange worldwide matches '97
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in General Wrestling
Who DOESN'T hold a win over Ric Flair? I guess Arn was right when he said "Ric Flair's won 16 world titles, those are the only 16 matches he's ever won" And, as long as it's not a squash, Savage/Ultimo looks interesting. -
"This is the first HBK video item made available to the public by the WWE since "Shawn Michaels: Greatest Hits From the HeartBreak Kid" was released by Colisseum Video back in 1996. So it should be apparent that this is a highly anticipated item for many wrestling fans out there. This two disc set offers up 7 classic Shawn Michaels matches in their entirety with loads of extras. That's right, these matches are un-edited and shown from start to finish. The seven matches are as follows: - AWA Tag Team Championship (1986) - IC Title Ladder Match from WrestleMania X - Iron Man Match from WrestleMania XII - No-Holds-Barred match against Diesel (includes alternate commentary by Shawn & Diesel) - Championship match against Mankind at Mind Games - Hell In a Cell 1 against the UnderTaker at Badd Blood - Comeback match against HHH at SummerSlam 2002 Prior to each match, you'll get a video highlight package with Shawn himself providing his thoughts about that particular match, and you'll be filled in on the match's build. The Extra's menu offers up even more goodies which revolve around the featured matches. Original TV spots, interviews, back stage segments, etc... As well as several other highlights from Shawn's career. Some of the extra's that are featured include: - The s visit to the Barbershop w/Brutus Beefcake - Promotional spots for WMXII, Badd Blood, & more - Shawn's training segments for the Iron Man match - Constructing the Hell In A Cell - Match of the year segment from the Slammys - Before They Were Superstars - The HBK story - Tell Me A Lie - Music Video To further compliment this item, the presentation of this product is well done. The DVD menus themselves are wll desgined and are put together with a pleasing asthetic quality. The background to the menus are essentially video highlights of the matches that are featured with the Shawn Michaels "Sexy Boy" them playing in the background. Also, a bonus hologram card is included with the insert. It depicts HBK flying off the top rope at HHH on a table from this past year's SummerSlam. A nice little goodie for you HBK fans. I must point out what you should not expect from this DVD. When you hear the name Shawn Michaels you might expect DX or the Screwjob to come up. That is not the case here. If you'd like more info on Shawn and the screwjob, as well as the match itself, I'd suggest the Confidential DVD. I was surprised that D-Generation X was only breifly tapped on during the pre-commentary for the Hell In A Cell match. Also, there's no commentary to be found on Shawn Michaels retirement in 1998, or the back injury which was escalated at the 1998 Rumble and led to his retirement. There is no commentary on the split of the s, or of Shawn's life since his early retirement. This DVD is predominantly wrestling, so don't expect too much as far as the interviews go. There is nothing on him being assaulted in Syracuse, nothing on him becoming a trainer... Truly there was a lot left out of this DVD. It would've been nice to have seen some more matches in this DVD, such as the somewhat unknown Intercontinental Championship Ladder match between Shawn Michaels & Bret Hart which was recorded at a house show, but never aired on WWE television. This match predates the original Ladder match against Razor Ramon which is on the DVD, unfortunately the WWE didn't have the brains to recall this rare footage. If you're an HBK fan even in the slightest then I must recommend this DVD. If you're a casual wrestling fan, or new to wrestling then this may not be for you. Seeing as how wrestling has changed drastically in only a few years, the pace of some matches may be too slow for some. However, if you're interested in learning more about HBK then this will help to fill you in on most of the key elements of his career. Pros: Loads of extras, several classic matches, a neat presentation, and a good source of HBK history. Cons: Limited interview topics, may not be everyone's cup of tea, and some colorful aspects of HBK's career were left out. Bottom Line: This is a great DVD which I would defenitely recommend for most all wrestling fans. It has enough charm to keep even the most die hard of HBK fans in a state of utter joy. And if anyone out there has worn out there tapes from watching some of these HBK matches far too often, and I know I have, then you'll want to pick this one up." Meh it's no "Hulk STILL Rules" but sounds ok.

I thought it was excellent. Still no T2 or, even, T1 but much better than I ever thought it'd be. BTW holy shit I LOVED the ending.

1. Andre the Giant fought his last WWF match in 1991 at the Continental Airlines Arena in a battle royal. Who was the winner of that battle royal? Mr. Perfect I think 2. Where was Hogan's last match of his most famous WWF run( 84-93)? Germany

Video of Piper and Vince's HBO interview *inside*
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Vince HAS BECOME Mr. McMahon. Period. Piper I felt bad for since he was honest and it was heartfelt but he still got canned. -
Choken, I could see Scott Hall as World Title material in 94/95. He could've EASILY beat Backlund instead of Diesel and, I'm sure, would've done better form a business and workrate standpoint.

I've always wondered this
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in General Wrestling
Shawn? When has he done that spot? And I never felt Owen did it as good as Bret. -
godthedog I would still rank Bret/Owen ahead of Bret/Flair. The first 25 minutes of Bret/Owen are painfully boring with nothing but resting and stalling...BUT the last 35-40 minutes feature some of the best wrestling you'll ever see and better than anything in Flair/Bret. I just never felt Bret & Flair had the chemistry that Bret & Owen had and their macthes never flowed as well.

I was there live for that match. Even Jericho out popped Rock. RVD was THE most over guy on the show that night. More than Jericho, Angle, Rock or Taker.
-
Yah in the 10 man the same thing as in SS96 happened but Austin kicked out. And I have never heard MDD at Wm13 argument. Weird.

Bradshaw in non-sensical Anti-French rant
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in The WWE Folder
Three months after the latest issue. However, France's embarassing history has been used in coward jokes for a long time. (See: Married with Children) I know about the history and the coward jokes I know of and all. But I seriously dobut Bradshaw knows shit about French history. He's blinded by idiotism and patriotism since you know he's talking about France not gonig to war and nto their history. You know I hate Triple H but I would much rather see Bradshaw put out of his misery by a sniper. -

How is it blind? They said no to war. Wow. They didn't support America. Yippee doo. Neither did the rest of the world, so what? But I don't wnat to start a war argument so I'll leave it at that. -

French haven't earned anything. Bradshaw's a little bitch for taking shows at the french 3 months after everyone else forgot about it. Good ol' Bradshaw from the great country of Texas. -

You must be joking. It premiered at 38 million and unless it got amazing word of mouth which I doubt, it will drop at least 5 million next week. T3 will get 40 million without a sweat. Actually I was joking. But seriously despite how much I want T3 & Bad Boys 2 to do huge numbers(I'm sick of PG13 action movies) I have a feeling T3 will underperform. Maybe 40-50 million.

i'm shocked Bruce Almighty is hanging on in the top 5. So y'all think Angels can withstand T3 as number one?
