  1. I think Deacon nailed it. For Deer Hunter you need patience. I love the first 1/3 which some people find boring and it adds a lot to the characters which helps them seem more real than the usual people in "war changes you" characters. And like I said that "one shot" scene near the end is POWERFUL.
  2. Ahh ok sorry I didn't read through all the pages. Still what about Die Hard?
  3. I'll take Jim Morrison or even Hendrix anyday. *flips coin* Cobain he's WAYYY overrated but I can't stand Axl.
  4. I have heard a few opinions on this. Some love it. Some think it's average saying the first 1/3 sucks, the 2/3 is good and 3/3 is decent. Some just don't get why it's praised. I consider it a classic and one of my personal favorite movies from the 70's(and a very deserving Best Picture winner). De Niro is excellent, Walken puts in his best performance ever and the "one shot" scene is powerful. What does everyone else think of the Deer Hunter?
  5. I'm 50/50 on Bueller. Love Christmas Vacation Haven't seen a Christmas Story. Sorry if I missed it but has anyone shot down The Princess Bride? I've never heard anythign negative about it. Dumb and Dumber most people agree is hilarious. What about Die Hard?
  6. Wow your review made that show sound better than I remember it being. I just might pop in my tape and revisit it myself. Good work.
  7. FIRST ROUND 1--Steve Austin 2--Brock Lesnar 3--Kurt Angle 4--Mick Foley 5--The Rock 6--Psycho Sid 7--Hulk Hogan 8--Randy Savage 9--Bret Hart Rick Rude 11-Triple-H 12-Yokozuna Mr Perfect Ric Flair British Bulldog Ultimate Warrior
  8. I really wnated to use the Flint movies but none of my video stores carry them.
  9. No Connery/Thurman wast hwe first one. Thanks for ideas guys(especially Deacon) they were helpful. I ended up using Manchurian Candidate, Topaz, a few Bond movies, Day of the Jackal, Spy Who Came In etc., and for humor, Undercover Brother.
  10. Damn Bret still rules. He's one of the few wrestlers who was real in character and out. Still my all-time favorite too.
  11. I like the 2nd better than the 1st. So yah I'm seeing this.
  12. Ok for something I'm doing I need as many spy movies as possible. Preferrable pre-80's. So just list as many as you can.
  13. Matt/Rey's off too a good start, let's see where they go from here.
  14. LMAO at Kurt asking for You Suck chants and stealing Austin's catchphrase.
  15. Wow. Simply Wow. That was an amazing Blassie tribute. And that last shot of him walking out is very sad. Song is "My Immortal" by Evanescence before someone asks.
  16. Heroes: 1. Hulk Hogan - 1984-1987 2. Steve Austin - 1997-1999 3. Bret Hart - 1993-1994 4. Ricky Steamboat - 1986-1987 5. The Rock - 2000 Villains: 1. Andre the Giant - 1987 2. Honkytonk Man - 1987-1988 3. Bret Hart - 1997 4. Jerry Lawler - 1993-1994 5. Iron Shiek - 1983-1985
  17. I dobn't have it or I would. But Savage/Flair, Bret/HBK and the Strike Force exploding sounds pretty decent considering the usual crap you get. Plus I think it's only available in the UK.
  18. The more I think about the list, the less I like it. First off I can't believe they odn't have Tony Montana or Shaft? Plus for villains where is Clarence Boddicker? And, more importantly, where are the hillbillies from Deliverance?
  19. Tony Montana - the great everyman story. A man comes from nothing to something through hard work, determination and never backing down from a challenge. So yah ol' Tony's a tweener. Travis Bickle & Michael Corleone are good tweeners.
  20. The AFI has ALWAYS had a hard on for SOTL so I doubt they left off LEcter. Kane must be either a hero or off the list. But if it's not Kane or Ficnh then I have no damn clue who it is.
  21. I KNEW IT! So number one is Finch? Kane? Who?
