What are the most "watchable" films...
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in Television & Film
There are many I could watch non-stop but the mopst are: The Lethal Weapon Series(All 4 of them I have seen tons of times and can watch them a million more times) Die Hard Terminator 2: Judgment Day Usual Suspects A Bronx Tale Almost any Schwarzenegger movie In the Line of Fire -
Show sucked but I got the DVD free when I bought Best of cinfidential so I can't complain. Plus it's free and you get the Austin/Pillman segment on DVD and the awesome video package of the wrestlers who died.
-
And his classic: "British Bulldog has thrown so much at Bret Hart that nobody could ever kick out of it except one person...Ric Flair ofcourse"
-
Same exact thing. My first memory of wrestling is that angle and my first match that I cared about and payed attention to was Hogan/Savage from WM5. You can figure out what my first PPV was. I loved hogan and Savage and I was a part time watcher till 1992 when Bret Hart got me hooked. That year I cheered for Bret, Savage, IRS, DiBiase and, ofcourse, Flair & Perfect. In 1993 I got turned off by Hogan screwing over Bret at WM9 and tuned in to TBS. I became a huge WCW fan by watching, who else, Ric flair when he returned and I remember I was REALLY hyped to see Battlebowl 93. All those guys I mentioned are still my favorites to this day with Bret being number 1.
-
The big non flexible ones form them id-80's. I got Hogan, Savage & Nikolai Volkoff. Then I got Bret & IRS from the 1991-1992 series.
-
Ya Heenan's last ever appearance was in December when Gorilla kicked him out. Then Heenan's briefcase spilt revealing endless roles of toilet paper. Summerslam 1992 Heenan is gold. During Savage/Warrior and even moreso during Hart/Bulldog.

The SmartMarks Favorite T.V. Show Tournament
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in Television & Film
Married wtih Children Seinfeld My two fav sitcoms win. -
Yah there'll probably be a PPV on that day. Happy B Day & RIP Owen
-
Yah Russo booked Bret Hart to get powerbombed by Sid twice after suffering 3 concussions from Goldberg. And I agree with everything Russo said BUT it's not gonna chnage. Like it or not it's nearly impossible to kill all drug use in wrestling.
-
Dude, at LEAST you get a live show. Out west, we haven't had a TV show since 2001. Hell, I think that was the last time a show came out here. How West? Edmonton and Calgary get more than there fair share of shows.
-
Lucky SOB's. We get one house show a year usually and we're Canada's capital. AND we have to sit through Nash/HHH.
-
I must admit this Mr. America stuff is somewhat entertaining especially seeing Vince lose it. BTW we'll NEVER forget that Vince screwed Bret. And what time is the Nucks/Wild game?
-
Oh yah shit I forgot...
-
Anyone else enjoy that LOUD "You Screwed Bret" chant. The classics never die.

Weird I strictly remember him billed at 6'6. Cause Hall is around that and Hogan sin't much taller than Hall.
-
Eh--it's so hard to tell because WWE have to be such lying pricks about the wrestler stats and bulk them up. Hogan has been billed as being everywhere from 6'8 to "near 7 feet" (Mr. America bio). Yet at Backlash last year he's SLIGHTLY taller than the supposedly 6'4" Triple Haitch. For most of his career he was billed at 6'6 if I'm not mistaken.
-
Interesting. BTW you aint been on MSN in a while and I couldn't ocnatc you. Your tapes are done and I'm waiting for yuop to confirm aobut mien before i send.

Atleast it's not Nash

Wrestling or not I was entertained as hell by the Austin/Bischoff skits(covering Bischoffs portrait was f'n priceless) so more power to'em. Plus look at it this way...without Austin the Kilq could be getting that TV time.

Just got back from a Raw house show in Ottawa

Yup just got back and it was a very average experience. The crowd was pretty loud, nothing exciting, and the arena was moderately full. Fuck play by play as most of the macthes have been done at every show for the last few months. Only new one was Nash/HHH. How bad was it? Pretty fucking bad. Sadly not Steiner/HHHl levels of bad so not bad enough to make fun of, but too bad to actually watch. It was worse than anything else: boring as hell. Nash scuked a donkey dick and nearly killed HHH by botching a powerbomb. When the referee(Lil' Naitch) gets the loudest reaction of the match you got a problem. And the end blew as Nash lost to a dinky roll-up, ie. he's winning at JD. No Ric Flair which pissed me off. Funny thing is I started doing their survey but whne I got to page 3(out of like 6 or 7) I said 'fuck it' and threw it out. Not really worth my 50 bucks and I only even moderately enjoyed cause we get wrestling so rarely. BTW Le Resistanse stole the Quebecers pants! -

I assume he got decent seats, plus thats Canadian funds. Fourth row form the ring. Great seats, but still when the best match is either RVD/Kane vs Sotrm/Morley or Dudleyz'/3MW it aint worth the money. -
