I'm with you on Mario. I would've picked him first overall too.

JESUS....Shuttlesworth that is... Ray Allen, SG All-NBA Second Team: 2005 All-NBA Third Team: 2001 8-time NBA All-Star: 2000, 2001, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 NBA All-Rookie Second Team: 1997 NBA Joe Dumars NBA Sportsmanship Award: 2003 NBA All-Star Weekend Three-point Shootout champion: 2001 Holds NBA record for most three-point field goals made in a regular season with 269 in 2005-06[11] - Some may think I'm reaching a bit here but he is exactly what I need in my starting line-up. With Duncan and Thurmond controlling the paint, Archibald distributing the ball and driving to the rim and Drexler doing everything, Allen is a perfect complementary piece. He can spread the defense and keep them honest with his shooting while also being a guy who can take the last second 3 pointer in overtime when necessary. Additionally he, in his prime atleast, was a solid defender and a team player with great character which is what I've been going after in the early going.

Nah, it should be done like the NBA one is: a person can be drafted once and only once. If he's taken as a player, can't be taken as a coach and vice versa.
-
Dammit, my picks keep getting stolen right before I take them. I had Bobby Jones lined up as my starting SF which would've given me one of the best defenses imagineable. Ah well.

Final numbers: Speed Racer 18.6 mil Vegas 20.2 mil Speed Racer didn't just lose, it got raped.
-
PLEASE take him. Thet Crawford/Ford deal that keeps getting rumored sounds sweeter everyday. And it's no shock Sarver doesn't want D'Antoni in Toronto, he hates Brian Colangelo and would do almost anything to spite him. Too bad since another year of Sam Mitchell is not something I'm excited about.

This is funny because going into this set of picks my picks, in order, were Gilmore -> Thurmond -> Cowens -> McAdoo. The exact same order ended up happening.
-
I originally had Cowens picked but went with Thurgood for his shot blocking. Cowens is an excellent choice though. I'm shocked that so many great centres slipped below guys like Robert Horry.

Shit my bad: Metallica - Metallica (Black Album) - Just like Genesis, my favorite album by the band. Most people won't agree, sucks to be them.

Wilt Chamberlain's favorite player... Nate Thurmond, F/C Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame (1985) 2x NBA All-Defensive First Team 3x NBA All-Defensive Second Team NBA All-Rookie Team (1964) 7x NBA All-Star (1965-1968, 1970, 1973, 1974) NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time Team (1996) First player to record a quadruple-double (1974)

Hahahahahahha...how could anyone forget about Artis and his uncanny shotblocking skills? Well they should've forgotten dammit! He was a perfect fit for my team and I had my eyes on him since the start. He almost made it back to me too...
-
FUCK!!!!!!!!!!! FUCK!!!!!!! Damn you Steviekick, damn you to hell. I thought everyone had forgotten him! ARGH!!!

Interesting pick. Definetely someone I did not think would go this early. I'm dreading every pick until mine with the hope that the guy I want is still around when I pick.
-
Good pick alf. I was considering Dikembe for my next pick but instead am going to go with someone else who I hope is still around.
-
Oh don't get me wrong, he's a phenomenal coach and I have no problem with him being first. I'm still surprised though that it wasn't one of the two 9 time NBA champions (despite my passionate hate for one of them).

NBA Playoffs 2008 - Conference Semifinals

I don't care how overhyped LeBron is, he's the lesser of two evils here. This is fucking ridiculous. -
It's a bit early for Horry I think but Moncrief was a great choice. I'm surprised Sloan was the first coach taken though.
-
LOL @ What Happens in Vegas nearly beating Speed Racer.

Whenever they show these lists Kobe's moving up on (the latest is seasons averaging 25/5/5), the more I see lists LeBron will retire on top of. -
I was torn between Nash and Archibald but Archibald was the better the scorer and is not as weak as Nash defensively. I decided to go with the superior defender and scorer rather than the better passer. Nash is a great pick though. Howard is not that much of a reach since his peak season so far (this year) was phenomenal and stacks up with many guys already chosen.

Since I need scoring and passing to compliment Duncan and Drexler: Nate 'Tiny' Archibald Archibald was an All-NBA First Team selection three times (1973, 1975, 1976) and an All-NBA Second Team selection two times (1972, 1981). A seven-time NBA All-Star Game selection (1973, 1974, 1975 , 1976, 1980, 1981, and 1982), he was named the 1981 All-Star Game MVP. Archibald led the NBA in free throws made three times and free throw attempts twice. He competed in 876 professional games, scored 16,841 points (18.8 points per game), and dished out 6,476 assists. He was named to the NBA's 50th Anniversary All-Time team. Nate Archibald was inducted to the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame in 1991.

And he'd be perfect running a D'Antoni offence.
-
A Jamal Crawford for TJ Ford would be ideal in my opinion (as a Raptors fan ). Helps both teams out with what they need. Ford owuld be great with D'Antoni.

I don't see Mullin going ahead of Reggie Miller and Miller aint going anytime soon so I'm sure Mullin would have still been around.
