Off the top of my head: 1993 (Great NBA finals, a great World Series, great playoffs in the NHL and two all-time great NFL teams (Cowboys, 49ers) to watch). or 1998 (MJ's last hurrah, the HR chase, Red Wing and Yankee dynasty's, opening the year with one of the best Super Bowls of all-time, Tyson/Holyfield 2). What if Len Bias didn't die, would the Celtics have had a long dynasty or still fizzled out after 1986? -
How does Iverson not deserve to go? He's been busting his ass, playing 40+ minutes, shooting, passing and doing whatever George Karl has asked of him. Dude's been carrying that team. East Reserves: Chirs Bosh, Raptors Andre Iguodala, 76'ers Caron Butler, Wizards Antawn Jamison, Wizards Josh Smith, Hawks Jose Calderon, Raptors Chauncey Billups, Pistons West Reserves: Amare Staudamire, Suns Tyson Chandler, Hornets Dirk Nowitzki, Mavericks Brandon Roy, Trail Blazers Chris Paul, Hornets Steve Nash, Suns Baron Davis, Warriors Also: http://blog.washingtonpost.com/dcsportsbog...oy_wi.html#more Combined with his blog on NBA.com. how can anyone NOT like Gilbert Arenas?

Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling

He does go into detail about how many times he cheated in Japan and how unfaithful he was. -
Wasn't Ted already the Million Dollar gimmick before Gino's death? I think if he went to the WWF, he would've had a Ric Flair type role, from what I've seen from him in his WCCW stuff. Gino died in February '86. The Million Dollar Man debuted in late Spring/Summer of '87. Either way, I just can't imagine anyone else playing the Million Dollar Man role any better then Ted DiBiase. I still love the fact that they convinced DiBiase to take the job by saying, "If Vince could wrestle, this would be the gimmick he'd use." I love how they had convince DiBiase to take a gig where he'd be an immediate main eventer and get more perks (first class flights, limos etc.) than any other wrestler in the company (barring Hulk Hogan). Talk about a job selling itself.

Let's talk about Rex, Baby. Let's talk about you and me.

I'm still confident New England bows out against Indy so it's been a pretty good year for me. And what's so surprising about Seattle? Them making the SB would not shock me. They can't win in Lambeau but outside of that I don't see them being that inferior to any team in the NFC, especially if Morris and Alexander pick up the slack. -

Sucks Taylor didn't make it again but, like in every other good year of his, who do you leave off? Addai? Hell no. LT? Nope. Parker? Maybe a case can be made but still, no. -
Box Office Report 12/14-12/16
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
The only guy I can think of who is on Will's level of consistency is Tom Hanks, however he's had some bombs in recent years after being bullet-proof for a while. Gibson was bullet-proof for most of his career but he hasn't starred in a movie in forever and the arrest may drag him down next time he does. Johnny Depp has the Pirates movies and that's about it, when it comes to blockbusters or whatnot that he's responsible for. Browsing the box office sites, only two gusy have a higher "per movie gross" than Will Smith: Orlando Bloom and Mike Myers. Bloom is REALLY helped by the LOTR and POTC films since everything else he's done bombed and Myers is helped by the fact that outside, of the Austin Powers and Shrek movies, he's made about 3 movies in the past decade (Cat In The Hat, 54, A View From The Top). -

Bagger Vance flopped. Ali kind of flopped, although it did well awards wise. I Robot is his only other starring movie to not break 150 million domestically (it got to 148 or so). I still can't believe Pursuit of Happyness broke 300 mil worldwide, only Will could pull that off. -

If this is greatest hits like then how could it be missing one of the 5 biggest and most popular acts of the 1990's (Boyz II Men)? Stupid list. -

Bad News Allan/Brown. -
So Barry Bonds ISN'T on it?
-
No, Anthony Parker. I picked him up off the waiver wire.
-
Can't believe someone let go of Anthony Parker. Dude guarantees 10+ points, 2+ 3's and a couple of boards and assists every game. Not to mention a good shooting % and steals and blocks. Best waiver wire pick up I've had all year.

I know many consider this a good action movie. but I consider this a great MOVIE. Not just action. Aside from the fact that it's one of the bloodiest movies ever made(uncut version in ALL of it's glory), great action sequences, it also has a smart social message and great social commentary. Plus Clarence Boddicker(Kurtwood Smith) is one of the most sadistic and underrated villains ever. What does everyone else think of this?

Robocop(1987)
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in Television & Film
Holy shit, that first post of mine looks like I'm reviewing it for a film class. PS: Robocop still kicks all kinds of ass. -
Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Tom Petty fan but not as the Super Bowl half time show. A terrible fit.
-
Wow. What next John Fogerty with a special appearance by John Mellencamp...
-
Got it. Thanks a lot.
-
This Denver/Chicago game is fantastic. Right up there for game of the year so far.
-
Enjoy! Thanks! Question though, is your version of the song 1:10 long or is my WMP just not playing it right? I remember it being longer.

Considering he was Goldberg-levels of popular at the time, there's a good chance he would've been in the WWF title picture. Ofcourse, knowing him, he would've injured someone or other and blown it anyway.
