Favorite match finishes
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Hunter's Torn Quad's topic in General Wrestling
- Hogan/Rock is still one of my favorite endings ever. As much for the crowd reaction as the booking and execution but everything from the Hulk Up on is phenomenal. Perfectly brings out nostalgia to get the crowd going before Rock Bottoming nostalgia back to reality. - The ending to HHH & Austin/Benoit & Jericho. Fast paced with countless near-falls and both teams looking unbeatable. - Bret/Hennig at KOTR93. The sharpshooter counter was brilliant and the match of one-upsmanship ends with Bret outsmarting Curt one last time. Never get tired of that one. And my favorite match finish ever: - Savage/Flair at WM8. So heated and intense with Savage's big comeback followed by Perfect breaking it up, then the beatdown on Macho, Liz coming out and the big shock ending followed by the post match brawl. Absolutely perfect. -
So are Selanne and Niedermayer officially gone? Did they announce their retirements?

I disgaree wholeheartedly. Phoenix is perfect for Kirilenko. He doesn't care about being the top guy or a big scorer but more about the way he is used on the court. He wants a coach who'll use him to his strengths which is exactly what D'Antoni would do. The Phoenix system is perfect for him and, with him, they make up for, basically, all of the intantgibles they lose with Marion. Odom is a good player but defensively he is a big step down which, with the loss of Thomas, makes Phoenix a much worse defensive team and, once again, most likely unable to compete with San Antonio. Kirilenko for Marion is by far the best, PLAUSIBLE (the Rasheed deal isn't happening), scenario for the Suns title chances.

Yah, I'm in this one too.

Old School Jams
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to JaMarcus Russell's #1 Caucasian Fan's topic in Music
Two old school jams I still dig: "Love TKO" - Teddy Pendergrass "Return of the Mack" - Mark Morrisson -
I'm taking Chicago. KC was TERRIBLE last week and the Bears can atleast score 14-20 points off turnovers.

Here's a video of the fight. Doesnt looks like much happened to be honest w/ you. http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1569305/2...lee_tommy.jhtml Stupid video doesn't work for me . Either way, by all accounts, Kid Rock hit Tommy a few times and that's about it. Although I do like the MTV report mentioning that Kid Rock had a cigar in his mouth the whole time.

The best part of the whole show didn't make it to air. Kid Rock and Tommy Lee got in an actual fight and we missed it. It explains Diddy's comment though. And why the fuck did Shia Lebouf offer the Best Female artist award to Ludacris? PS: The Timberlake party at his suite was more interesting than the actual VMA's. Hell same goes for Kanye and the Foo Fighters.

Examples of a Wrestler TRULY Being Put Over
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to zappafrank's topic in General Wrestling
Goldberg was put over massively by Hall and Hogan at the Atlanta Nitro. That may be the most WCW has ever legitmately put someone over in one night. It launched Goldberg from a popular upper-midcarder to THE man in WCW. -
Yah that's a big thing. I'm 100% confident that the Colts will win but I don't wanna waste them on this.

I feel safe about Seattle over Tampa.
-
Maybe the annual "beg Sting to come to WWE" talks will start up again now...
-
Ditto, only one team I see as anywhere near a sure thing.

I hate missing drafts for that very reason. I can't even understand how the fuck the computer drafted. After Peyton and Gates it's like, huh?! No decent WR's, no decent RB's, I'm fucked.

The Champs Are Here

Just because I spent the last 4 hours at a bar discussing it...
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to The Ghost of bps21's topic in Music
- Michael Jackson in 1988 - Bon Jovi's 3 nights at Wembley in 1995 - Guns N Roses in 1987 - Marvin Gaye in 1973 - Any of those Jersey Christmas shows featuring Southside Johnny, Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi - Elvis in 1959 - Jay Z's concert in MSG when R. Kelly walked out and he had to improvise a brand new show brigning people out of the crowd (like JA Rule and Mary J Blige) to join him -
Wow my team fucking blows.
-
I won't make the live Saturday draft but I have preranked so it's all good.
-
Not upset, nor particularly happy with my team. I really hate having Benson and am annoyed at my que screwing up and giving me Carter over Welker.
-
Gotcha, I'm there and in it to win it.
-
I'm in tne second league as The Champs Are Here.

I can do saturday but I'd prefer 6PM. Is that doable?
