Exactly. Ask 1000 people how many remember Hogan/Warrior and then ask 1000 people how many remember Dude Love/Steve Austin. It wouldn't even be close. THAT'S the difference between Hogan and Austin. What a stupid comment. You're comparing one of Austin's "lower-level" matches with some of Hogan's most memorable. A better comparison would be Austin/Hart to Hogan/Andre. Austin/Rock to Hogan/Rock. Austin/Shawn to Hogan/Warrior, and so on. I'm not arguing Austin's case; I understand (and agree with) what point you were trying to make; Hogan's matches are more memorable, more well known, to non-wrestling fans than Austin's are. However, to use Austin/Dude Love as an example in why Hogan is more mainstream than Austin is idiotic. He used Austin/Foley cause someone else mentioned how much hotter crowd was for Austin during the match than for Hogan during his prime. And, just to be a prick, Hogan/Andre is MUCH more known than Austin/Hart and Hogan/Warrior is MUCH more known than Austin/Shawn. The Rock matches are pretty much a push.

Former WWF Wrestler accused of theft
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in General Wrestling
*doesn't make obvious comment about Hart Curse* Well atleast it's an original wrestler crime unlike the usual drug and assault cases. -
No wrestler in history(with Rock possibly surpassing this) can touch Hogan for mainstream exposure or for being a 'superstar'. Only wrestler to appear on the cover of Sports Illustrated, first wrestler to host Saturday Night Live, appeared on damn near every talk show there was, hell Hogan STILL is more of a superstar than Austin. I don't see Austin getting coverage on MTV for being at P. Diddy's(I think) party. The fact is everybody, wrestling fan or not, knows who Hogan is. While I know a lot of people who have never heard of Steve Austin. Plus say all you want about drawing but the audience for Hogan/Andre on NBC will never be touched and the attendances Hogan brought in(WM3, WM6, Big Event, WMX8 all drawing around 65,000+ - might have been more too but those are off the top of my head) are amazing. Plus you all say it yourself: stick any heel with Hogan and he becomes top heel. Hogan didn't need a great heel to play off of(although he had some great ones), he WAS the draw. Austin needed McMahon to play off of or he would've never gotten to where he was at.

Until Austin draws huge in AWA, Japan and WCW(along with WWF/E) and leads a second company to the top of the wrestling world(even if only for 2 years), then Austin can happily sit in second which is where he is at now.

Wrestlers that are thought of more highly
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in General Wrestling
HHH, Hogan and Nash are all liked for totally different reasons. I've never heard anything about Nash related to wrestling. All I've heard is guys like Austin and foley praise for how funny he is out of the ring, nothing wrestling related. Hogan is loved because a program with him guaranteed a big pay day and a very hot crowd. HHH is praised because of his love for the business. -

NYC's Hot97 makes fun of the Tsunami
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in Music
Oh ma bad didn't see that. -
Well in one of the sickest acts I can remember, the infamous NY radio station Hot 97 made a song making fun of the Tsunami and the victims: http://s6.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1BPOIALR3OTA80N3OX12HMYBP1 Many listeners were, rightfully, offended and have since started petitioning to get everyone involved with this fired. So far they haven't been successful although Miss Jones(host of the Morning Show where this was played) and her staff have been suspended but, IMO, that is nowhere near enough. And today Jin, an Asian rapper, called in and did a freestyle about this which pretty says how I feel about this Tsunami song exactly: http://www.alljin.com/Audio/Exclusives/jin...mi_response.mp3 So what are your thoughts on this whole controversy?

Question For Anybody Who's Seen Assault...
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in Television & Film
Yes Jasper was sneaking around and opened the back door. And I assume he was in on it from the begining and thus he agreed to take Bishop in eventhough Jake(Ethan Hawke right?) didn't want to. Plus it is why he was adamant in wanting to give Bishop up and why he kept repeating that it was Bishop's men at fault. -
Now this is easily the most anticipated rap debut since Kanye and, amazingly, Game does not let us down. I loved 'Westside Story' but I didn't like 'How We Do' and a lot of his mixtape stuff was average so I wasn't sure what to expect from this but Game kills it delivering the best album off the Shady/Aftermath label since Get Rich or Die Trying(and I'd argue that Documentary is even better than 50's debut). First off the production on this CD is some of the best I've heard in years. Outside of the expected Dre tracks, Game has gotten production from Just Blaze, Timbaland, Havoc(from Mobb Deep), Kanye West and Scott Storch, all of whom are excellent producers and some of the best in the business at the moment. This CD also features some great guests spots(as expected) with 50 Cent bringing his best stuff since his last CD, Eminem spitting a verse better than most of his last CD, along with Nate Dogg, Tony Yayo, Mary J Blige and Busta Rhymes, all of whom bring the goods. 'We Aint' which features and is produced by Eminem features the funniest line of the whole CD as Game says: "Yo get Dre on the phone quick, Em just killed me on my own shit" This CD has only a few weak songs, the worst of which is, unsurprisingly, the single 'How We Do'(Lloyd Banks and Em released their CD's worst songs as singles as well). As for the good, well it's real good. The best songs on this CD are 'The Documentary'(the hook by Game is amazing as he incorporates Reasonable Doubt, Illmatic, The Chronic, Doggystyle, Death Certificate, All Eyez On Me and Ready to Die - all classic rap albums in their own right), 'Start From Scratch', 'Like Father Like Son' and 'Hate It or Love It'. Although I'm sure that'll change as I listen to it again. The one annoying thing about this album(which is a trend for everyone on Shady/Aftermath) is how much Game name drops other rappers. He does it a LOT and it gets repetitive but it's a small flaw in an otherwise excellent album. ****1/4 on first listen but could go up(or down) depending on replay value. And, for once, an album that not only lives up to but EXCEEDS the hype.

2 Savage vs Michaels matches?
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to DMann2003's topic in General Wrestling
Wow Savage sure was a trooper to wrestle that match all over the country. I still hate how they phased Macho out on TV cause he could still go and they could've used him in 1993 especially. -

I liked Hogan and Savage being eliminated like that. It really helped the "anyone can win" aspect of the match, which is sorely lacking nowadays. Well I agree to some extent. But Hogan should've been left in longer since the crowd totally died once all the big guys were eliminated.

"The Documentary" - The Game
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to TheOriginalOrangeGoblin's topic in Music
I never heard about that but considering 50's calling out and dissing Fat Joe and Jadakiss for reasons he couldn't even explain properly on Hot 97, I'm pretty sure I know where Game gets the idea to diss for no reason.
