The current lock out makes it hard for me to believe NHL players are about anything BUT money. I feel NFL players are the best when it comes to caring more about winning than stats.

H - Houston, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Arizona, St. Louis, San Diego A - Houston, Jacksonville, Tennessee, Baltimore, Cincinnati, San Francisco, Seattle, New England I love our schedule. We have tough road games in Bal, NE and Jax while at home only Pit, SD and Jax post problems. Much better than this year.

I LOVE that goal. CuJo was god that night and had over 60 saves by then in double OT and he seemed unbeatable until Gilmour's goal. Some of my favs: - Yzerman over Fuhr's shoulder in triple OT in the 1996 Conference Semi-Final between STL and Detroit - Duchesne from the blue line against Hasek to put Ottawa in the playoffs for the first time ever in 1997 - Lemieux's classic against the Soviets in 87

Ricky Steamboat: Does he receive his fair due?
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in General Wrestling
Considering he is generally regarded by his peers as one the best wrestlers they've ever faced(Flair, Savage, Roberts - pretty good company to be praised by) - among many others) and, one of if not the, nicest guys in the business. Also considering most smarks and marks alike(who have seen his work) rate him extremely highly, I think it;s fair to say Steamboat definetely gets his fair due. -

I totally agree Bob. Without a Trace is currently my favorite show on TV and Anthony Lapaglia is excellent and definetely deserves a nomination. -
Nominees for the 2005 Golden Globes
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to CBright7831's topic in Television & Film
Has anyone here seen Million Dollar Baby? I've read some reviews and I'm surprised Eastwood didn't get nominated for acting(although he already has 3 noms for various stuff). Here's hoping Morgan Freeman finally wins something, god knows he deserves it(moreso than Carrey IMO). -
"Million Dollar Baby" so far is at 96% on Meta Critic which is the best I've seen. I don't know anyone who's seen it yet but if it is that good maybe Morgan Freeman can finally get an Oscar. And for best actor I'm fairly certain it goes to Depp to make up for them snubbing for a decade.

I was disappointed. I thought Clooney, Bernie Mac, Carl Reiner and a lot of other cast mates were under used and I just didn't care about the Nightfox. The movie didn't have the same light-hearted comedic feel as the first. I think RRR nailed it by mentioning the visual and musical differences which totally changed the mood of the movie IMO. Plus it was overlong. Matt Damon and Brad Pitt damn near saved it though. The best segment of the movie is when it's just Damon, Cheadle & Caan and the whole thing with Roberts and Willis(although it went too long). Damon telling Willis that he guessed the end of The Sixth Sense was hilarious as was Willis line: "If everyone found it so obvious, then why did it make 645 million?" But outside of that it was missing the spirit and inventiveness(well for the genre at least) of the original remake.

"Why did Ricky Williams retire, they mad in Miami, why did Justin sell out Janet and go to the Grammy's?" - Common, "Why Remix"

Anyone heard the remix of "Lean Back" with Eminem and Mase? That's gotta be a contender. I NEVER wanna hear Em saying "baby gurl I don't dance, not cuz I can't but I got a pistol in my pants". And the club track of the year is "Yeah" by Usher, Luda and Lil Jon.

Ok I finished the ablum and here are my thoughts. Had Nas edited out a few weak songs and put it to one disc, this would've been a classic. "These Are Our Heroes", "Just a Moment" and "Getting Married" are all up there with Nas' best work and even the weak tracks aren't necessarily bad. Really solid album and, depending on replay value, maybe his second best ever. BTW Royce is good but for underground artists, no one touches Immortal Technique IMO.

Just Lose It. Worst video, worst song, just terrible.

Most Disappointing Movie(s)
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Gary Floyd's topic in Television & Film
Definetely Spiderman 2. I can't remember a movie that has disappointed me as much in recent years. -
I could swear that, when Savage came out, I heard a "We Want Hogan" chant. If I heard right, then LMAO.

I'm not a TNA fan but I really enjoyed the PPV. Hell, next to Mania and NWO, that was my fav PPV all year. And yes it is thanks to Sabin/Petey and the cage match which blew me away. The Skipper move off the top of the cage had me marking like I haven't since benoit won the title. It was that awesome.

Considering I live in Ottawa, I wonder the same thing.

Just copped the album and so far it's great but not a classic. I love a lot of the first CD, but a few songs on it aen't up to par. Haven't through CD2 well enough to judge yet. Doesn't top Kanye though, so far.

I'm buying it tomorrow. Really looking forward to it.

Who was the largest draw of all-time?
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in General Wrestling
I rank Hogan above Austin for the simple fact that he was a proven draw in NJPW, AWA, WWF and WCW throughout a time span of, atleast, 15years, while Austin only drew for the WWF in a short 4 year time span(1997-2001). Plus for live gates Austin could never touch Hogan. Where were these 12, 35'000 people attendances for Austin in all his peak years? The average the PPV crowd in Austin's peak was 18'500 people which is what most of the arena's hold as their maximum capacity.
