HOLY SHIT! Lance Berkman is INSANE!
-
Fuck that soap opera bullshit. Lance Berkman is fucking INSANE!!
-
Not necessarily high-end offense, I just think he needs at least 2 or 3 moves the crowd could identify as his. I mean look at Batista, his big moves are a powerbomb, a spinebuster and a clothesline. Not exactly high-end yet they're credible near falls to the majority of the crowd. Orton has zero credible near fall moves cept for the RKO. So 2 or 3 more of those are what's needed.
-
That's sad. The Jeffersons owned.
-
He's come along way in the past year and I'm pretty sure he'll naturally dump the rest holds when he gets more used to working long singles matches. One or two more signature moves would help though(how about the Rings of Saturn since hel ikes arm work).
-
Exactly. Jericho/Benoit has enough history that fans will buy their feud without some big promo and Jericho's good enough on the mic to carry the majority of it anyway. HBK/Benoit builds itself, I think even a monkey could make that work despite neither guy being great on the mic. Christian/Benoit shouldn't really be carrying a show but if by some way that does happen then Christian's annoying enough on the mic that just Benoit attacking him would be enough. And I'm sure they can make Edge/Benoit work somehow. But anyways am I the only who doesn't want to see Edge main eventing a PPV? Fuck I'd rather see Flair face Benoit for the title.
-
I love Flair's line to Maven: "I've had more World Championships than you've had women!" Rock concert 2: "Sacramento...the Rock won't stay, but I'll be sure to come back when the Lakers beat the Kings in May!"
-
Orton's a better option than Edge or Shawn. Fuck if I'm booking I let Benoit run wild till Mania then I give it to Orton. Let Benoit and Jericho do a 2/3 match series on PPV like Flair/Steamboat to take up most of the fall. Then Benoit/Edge or Benoit/Christian. Do Benoit/HBK for the first 2 months of 05 while Orton unseats HHH. Then give Orton the belt at Mania over Benoit. That's how I'd do it atleast.

I got no problem with HHH these days, although I prefer Orton by miles. But how was either guy protected last night? They BOTH look like shit. Benoit STILL can't win a meaningful singles match and HHH got ousted by a retard.

Most Disappointing and Suprising Draws

Ofcourse Goldberg had no opponents, at Road Wild he went over the ENTIRE UPPER MIDCARD in one match. -
Are these taped or in their original boxes?

Best North American Match Tournament
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Aero's topic in General Wrestling
Eh, their "worst" match was at IYH Revenge of Taker. Anyway, I vote for Austin/Hart. I said "worse", not "worst". WM13 is "worse" than SS96. That's what I meant. -

Official "I saw Fahrenheit 9/11" thread......
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to NoCalMike's topic in Television & Film
When you have no ACTUAL point to make, you resort to pure, unmitigated bullshit. Kudos. -=Mike Nice to see you can't handle a litte humor. This thread was meant to discuss the MOVIE not your political stance. And that line drew uproarious laughter from people in my theatre(inluding me), thus it is a relevant part of the film. So like I said, good ol' George Dubya. -

"There's a famous saying that says, fool me once, shame on...ummm....y...m...uhhh....YOU CANNOT FOOL ME!" The brilliance of George Dubya Bush. -

I loved it. Entertained the hell out of me and did spur debate with the people I was with. I take most of it with a grain of salt but some of the footage from Iraq was powerful and Bush's little "fool me once" speech is the funniest thing I've seen all year. Money well spent. -
That match was terrible. His matches with the Rock at Backlash 2000 and Judgment Day 2000 (I don't know if the Iron Man Match should really be considered gimmicked....) were actually very good. I consider Backlash gimmicked with the McMahon stuff.

I liked "Fahrenheit 9/11" so I'm happy.

vs Shawn Michaels on Raw, 12/29/03 is one that comes to mind. Ummm...actually it's the only one that comes to mind. HHH vs Benoit on No Mercy I guess and maybe HHH vs Jericoh in the phantom match.

Matches that were surprisingly good
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Vampiro69's topic in General Wrestling
The best I can think of for bret was dragging diesel to a couple of good matches but shawn pulled a better one out of him. As for flair, he allegedly dragged El Gigante of all people to a *** match at some point, which if true beats micheals achievement with sid anyday for mine. Bret/Diesel at SS95 SMOKES any HBK/Diesel match by a good mile. Smokes HBK/Sid by a mile too. -
I'm sure Brock feels horrible about following his dreams and leaving somewhere where he's not happy just because a bunch of people on the internet pointlessly bash him. Wow he's not a slave to the industry like 99% of other wrestlers. That makes him a horrible person...
