Nothing. Just female wrestling I cannot take as seriously as male wrestling of any kind(puro,McMaho, whatever). Just a bias I have I guess. I'm not saying Joshi isn't as good as mens wrestling I'm just saying I can't enjoy it as much.

When did I defend Hogan? I just said his criticism of Foley was grounded in truth much more than Flair's. And I wouldn't pay a penny for Raven. I'd pay to watch an HHH match over a Raven match any day of the week.

Flair didn't want to put Austin over. Flair was the one who broke up the Blondes. Dusty wanted to put Dustin over. Flair put over his friends. He played the same games as everyone else as a booker, its just when Hogan came in, his power overuled Flairs. Why are all of the big names so hard on Foley? Both Flair and Hogan have ultimately ripped on him for no reason. But check this out, Foley's legacy is probably more intact because he went out right before he started to embarass himself. Flair and Hogan have been embarassing themselves for atleast 5 years, possibly even 10. Sure Flair wrestled 60 minute matches all of the time, but many could if they were laying in a throat choke for a combined 25 minutes of it. Foley was a high impact competitor, he made his matches (aside from barb wire and jumpign of hell in a cells) seem more believable. I get much more out of Jack and Vader legitimatelly punching each other in the face than having Flair use 226 neck chops in a match. I'm not necessarily saying that Foley is better than Flair, but he surely shouldn't be pissed on. He deserves all of the accolades he has gotten. People won't be remember when Foley can barely function in the ring, with tits down to his bell button, trying to keep up with the other stars. If Flair didn't have the charisma he has, he'd be one of the most embarassing superstars ever. Folks, he really isn't very good anymore. And he wrestles and embarasses himself while Foley retired and preserves his legacy? Somehow I respect Foley more for knowing when to quit. Bischoff broke up the blondes. Flair groomed Austin to take his spot as #1 heel. Why do you think Austin went from nothing post-Blondes break up to US champ and feuding with ME'ers by the summer when Flair was booking. Then Hogan took over and Austin got pushed out. And I find it funny how much everyone's sucking Foley's dick. His legacy is pissed on everytime he takes a fucking stupid pointless bump(HHH/Nash anyone?) or comes back for absolutely no reason(refereeing the invasion ref match). Hogan's comments were totally justified on Foley while Flair's are a bit harsh.

That's where we differ I guess. I hate woman's wrestling, period, so I couldn't even finish one joshi match. And I've seen puro but I just never felt the connection I felt with some NA wrestling(not all of it though). But, like I said, to each his own.

Melo. Lebron loses points from me for missing the playoffs in the terrible East while Melo led his, admittedly better, team into the playoffs in the tough West. -
I really liked it. ***3/4 in my scale and a top 5 WWE match for 2003. Hell I'd rank it 2nd or 3rd and ahead of HBK/Jericho, making it HBK's best match post-comeback. Easily HHH's best post-comeback(WM20 I'm not counting since that was all Benoit).

Yah he told the truth about Foley and Raven's the most overrated guy in the business. Go Naitch!
-
That was odd. But... ...he WAS killed by a Black Mamba. If that's not obvious symbolism I don't know what is. Oh, and I also LOVED the Superman reference. No the death fit perfectly into the sotry and the symbolism was there but I just couldn't help but wish that an awesome villain like Budd got a cooler death. Hell he was the only member of the squad to get the upper hand and beat Beatrix...just didn't finish the job
-
I understand what you're saying but I never had that problem. I think it's just a matter of growing an emotional bond for the wrestlers. Yah that could be. Some feds which I wasn't used to I was able to get into(I love old Stampede stuff - but i'm a big mark for technical wrestling) but puroresu just never connected with me on any level. To each his own I guess.
-
Loved it, simple as that. One regret with it I have is I wish Budd(Michael MAdsen) had a better death. He was my fav member of the squad and died the shittiest death.
-
I prefer NA style. I grew up on it and I just never found myself able to get into puroresu. I've seen some of the classics and all but to me none of them had the effect or emotion of my fav NA matches. Just my opinion though(I'll take both over Joshi which I couldn't even get through one match of).

I'm no Bradshaw fan but not ALL the blame is his. The shows been SO terrible lately, no ME could save it. And keeping their biggest name off TV is retarted.

Rock/Jericho I agree with totally. I actually loved Taker/Flair and would've considered had Flair won the blow off instead of being squashed.

I think this is worse than HHH's fall, personally.

This is good for the Canucks. Sue me but I've seen first hand(being a Pens fan) what Hedberg is capable of and he's capable of more than Cloutier. -

LMAO at how badly 'Whole 10 Yards' and 'Girl Next Door' bombed. And 'Johnson Family Vacation' making = ratings. That means Cedric gets more starring roles(eventhough I haven't seen the movie). -
Benoit gets more thank Shelton and HBK, oftentimes more than Foley, I haven't been paying attention to Jericho so I can't say, and nobody touches Austin. Benoit's right up there. Never more than Foley and never more than HBK. Only at Mania cause it was a smart crowd. Jericho's mega-over since that Trish promo and yah nobody touches Austin. I wasn't serious about Shelton but the other 4 get louder reactions than Benoit without any doubt. I'm not blaming him in the least since he's in opening matches fighting La Resistanse but the top guy in the company(Eddie's SD title is worthless since Raw's is treated as the bigger deal) shouldn't be getting the 4th or 5th loudest pops on a show. And Austin is excusable since it's Austin. But if the WWE pushed Benoit's struggle so well and crowd rallied behind him then he should be out-popping HBK and, sadly, he isn't. In the ring though Benoit is undoubtable second most over(behind Eddie).
-
I just got one question: Where did all these "great reactions" on Raw for Benoit come from? At this point he gets the 4th or 5th loudest pops on Raw behind Foley, Austin, HBK, Jericho and, possibly, Shelton.
