Weekend Box Office Report: 3/12/04 - 3/14/04
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to a topic in Television & Film
2 things: a) Depp IS a draw since I doubt the story of Secret Window brought in 19 mil. b) Passion of Christ deserves all that money and more for being as awesome as it was. -
Next to Taker who has the most Mania wins?
-
Jericho. Opened WMX7, ME'd WMX8.
-
Savage wasn't on WM9. Well enithr was Sid so both count.
-
No. Wait yes. lol
-
Unless Hogan's appearing tonight, him not being given an invitation to join the HoF is inexcusable...
-
Who's the first guy to go from ME'ing Mania to not being on the card the next year?
-
Technically Steamboat. His match was first at WM.

How did he kayfabe WM11. Backlund actually did forget to say I Quit although that may have been cause he's senile and not cause of pain. -
Largest outdoor crowd would EASILY have to be for the NJPW (with some WCW guys) show in Pyongyang, N. Korea. You could arguably give WCW some credit for it --- but it'd be a stretch. Don't know EXACT numbers, but both days topped 100,000 fans. -=Mike Considering Flair ME'd it against Inoki in a dream match, WCW deserves SOME credit.
-
Largest WWF/E crowd is either WM3 or Summerslam 92. Depending on who you believe. I tend to lean towards WM3 since, fuck what Metkzer says, I've seen the show and every section of the arena is packed - 93,000 sounds more than credible looking at the crowd.

1996 - A beyond boring(but historical) boiler room brawl and a decent main event don't make up for an atrocious card.

WM1, WM9 or WMXV. Why is WMVII on the poll? Savage/Warrior is Warrior's best, Harts/Nasties is decent, Martel/Jake is fun(yes I said it), Hogan/Slaughter is surprisingly good and nothing is overtly bad. WM2 had Bulldogs/Dream Team, WM4 had Savage/DiBiase, WM11 had nothing that bad(everything was just bland) and WM13 had Hart/Austin. WMX8 is a curiosity. I LOVE Rock/Hogan and Flair/UT is decent so I can't rate it that low. But it's horrid aside from those two. Meh I voted WM1 since it's just terrible. -
I know for a fact WM13 had the lowest. Technically the highest is WM3 but I think with conversion WM2000 or WMX7 beats it.
-
I have No Mercy, Vengeance & Judgment Day.

Wow, uhm, one of those things is not like the other. I know! AUSTIN? No way! It's gotta be Hogan.
