Could you post the pictures? I've heard about them but haven't seen them.

It was Ross in a "Holy shit" moment for the live crowd. Remember JR was still Good Ol' "never get involved" JR.

And a GREAT 6 pack match.

New News and Release Date on Ric Flair DVD
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
It's on the third page. -
Yah but I think that starts from 1983. Can soemone confrim which year it starts from? Cause I'm not even sure Flair's first title win exists on tape.
-
I get it free so I'm watching. But all I'm looking forward is HHH FINALLY losing his belt and the triple threat.

New News and Release Date on Ric Flair DVD
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Enigma's topic in The WWE Folder
There's already a big post for this. -
I don't think WWE has the rights to Flair's first World title win. They have rights to the 2nd(Race at Starcade).
-
That was a shoot? I always figured that was some cheap heel excuse he gave to justify the bait and switch for the Triple Header match. And yeah, that Bret/Lafite match was great. Same here. I never knew Owen was legit late. Ground Zero is pretty good with Shanw/Taker, Bret/Patriot and Pillman/Goldie being good to great(Taker/HBK).

IMO here's what sohuld go on it(WWE and smark POV): Flair/Race - Starcade 83 Flair/Windham - Worldwide(one that took up the whole show) Flair/Steamboat - 2/3 Falls Flair/Vader - Starcade 93 Flair/Perfect - Raw Flair/Savage - WM8 Rumble Match 92 Flair/Luger - Starcade 88 Flair/Sting - Pick your Poison Wargames 1 Flair & Arn/Hollywood Blondes - Clash 23 Horsemen stuff And then for extras: Flair/Steamboat - Chi-Town Rumble Flair/HHH - Raw(for the post match shit) Flair & Windham/Midnights - Clash 4 Flair/Morton - Not sure from which show the build to it was Flair breaking Ricky's nose Flair/Hogan - MSG 91 Flair/Bret - Title change Flair/Arn - Fallbrawl 95(only time ever) Flair/Sting - Final Nitro(sentimental value) Flair/Steamboat - WCW saturday Night 1994(Stampede rematch) a few other rare matches none of us have seen Now THAT'S a DVD I would buy.

Worst Angle of All Time?
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Toshiaki Koala's topic in General Wrestling
The InVasion drew a MONSTER buyrate for the InVasion PPV so that rules it out. Black Scorpion, believe it or not, drew pretty good. Arquette was designed for mainstream attention, didn't work well but had a purpose. Either Gobbledy Gooker or Katie Vick can come close. But I vote Shockmaster. -
I have pretty most of the WWE PPV's but I don't want(nor do I have the time) to do a deal of that magnitude. But yah get back to me we could work something out for some of them. BTW where do you live? Not Russia is it?

Crash is SUCH a bitter fuck. He's just jealous that despite Foley holding the belt for no more than a month, and Crash holding it on/off for a year, Foley is still remembered as the hardcore legend.

Newspaper article on Angle / Brock
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to cawthon777's topic in The WWE Folder
What could I say, it's a start. Maybe when the NY Times runs something that isn't a) Owen Hart dying in the ring or b) Phil Mushnik or whoever bad mouthign wrestling then we could aim for high mainstream -

Match sounds 10 times better than the Ironman match. Great article though man, props. And it's always good to see wrestling get a positive look in mainstream media. -

You're kidding right? Cop Land is Stallone's BEST movie since Rocky. He should be proud of that. -
Nice to see good ol' Ric Flair is STILL the Nature Boy we heard so much about back in the 80's. But other than that, who cares?
-
Well I enjoyed it to some extent but wouldn't call it great. The biggest problem for me, don't know if anyone mentioned this, was that after evyer big move or eveyr move period enither guy ever showed long term damage or sold anything for more than a few seconds. For example, Kurt takes a monster F5 on the floor, that should put him out for a while, they come back from break and Kurt is dominating again. The match had no flow whatsoever and that bothered the hell out of me. Oh and the German suplex is absoutely useless move nowadays. They threw like 90 of them here and add Benoit throwing like 3 or 4 and that move has lost all effect and is just another move. I'll take the Wrestlemania match anyday over this, although the SS one wasn't as good. HHH/Rock was miles ahead of this and, to a lesser extent, so was HBK/Bret. The last 20-25 mins of HBK/Bret were bettert han anything in this match.

I liked Assassins. Banderas was oozing charisma. -
Bob Backlund vs. Stan Hansen (1981) Ric Flair vs. Dusty Rhodes (1986) Rock 'n' Roll Express vs. Andersons (1986) and the Tully/Magnum war. HOLY FUCK~!~!~!~!~!~!~!

WGTTP by inches over AMW. -
I dug how all the main characters(Depp,Banderas,Blades) had their own vendettas in the end and and how their were like 3 of 4 different battles going on. Dunno why just the chaotic element of it ruled.

Once upon a time in Mexico!
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Mrnoitaull's topic in Television & Film
I honestly don't know whether Depp was good or bad. Spoiler (Highlight to Read): Liek was said the CIA suggests he's a good guy BUT, planning the heist and killing innocent people makes him a bad guy...so I settled on bad ass mother fucker who you can't help but cheer. -
I'm really pleased with OUATIM getting first. And, damn, this is the year of Johnny Depp.

TheOriginalOrangeGoblin replied to Mrnoitaull's topic in Television & Film
This movie was just HELLA fun. Depp played one of the coolest characters ever. Thep lot was REALLY convluted, to thep oint where I STILL don't know whether Depp was a good or bad guy. I'd rank this equal to Desperado SOLELY because of Depp. Although Rourke, Blades, Banderas and the chihuahua were great as well. This, surprisingly for an action movie, could've used another half hour to explain the plot better and give Dafoe more to do. Still I REALLY enjoyed it just for the fun of it.
