I'm hoping to get around to watching some of my 40 hour Bret Hart compilation tomorrow, specifically, the Iron-Man match against Ric Flair from a house show in '92.
-
From what I've seen: -Amazing Red and The S.A.T. vs. Brian XL and Divine Storm (Take One) -Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe (Best Of The Best I) -B-Boy vs. Super Dragon (Best Of The Best II) -Jody Fleisch vs. Jonny Storm (Best Of The Best II) -Homicide vs. Trent Acid (Then And Now) -Nate Hatred vs. The Messiah (Then And Now) -B-Boy and Trent Acid vs. Dan Maff and Homicide (Deja Vu II) I haven't really seen that much CZW.

How did the fans react to Low Ki returning? Did they crap on him for leaving in the first place, or mark like little girls?
-
Just finished watching Hart Brothers vs. Steiner Brothers, started watching Razor Ramon vs. Shawn Michaels, and Bret Hart vs. Diesel is up after that.
-
Added to 1/9: -Lethal Lottery Tag match featuring Raven, Sabu, Steve Corino, and Vampiro -Chad Collyer vs. Chris Hero Added to 1/10: -Raven vs. Vampiro (Screwface match?) -Chad Collyer vs. Low Ki -Chris Hero vs. M-Dogg 20

I just got Wrestlefest '94, Monday Night Raw: Prime Cuts, and Slamfest '95 for Christmas. And I got the Hart Foundation video recorded on a Bret Hart compilation I received. I also got an awesome 40 hour Best of Bret Hart compilation.

Good point, Mutoh's been around wrestling so long that the streamers probably have no affect on him.
-
They do it all the time in Japan, they did it for Paul London at Death Before Dishonor, so I don't really think it's all that special anymore anyway.
-
Slugger from RoH will probably be the next pick up, they'll put him with Mark Henry and they'll destroy Shane Helms on a weekly basis.

WWE Considering Turning Matt Hardy Face
JustJoe2k5 replied to EdwardKnoxII's topic in The WWE Folder
I'm pretty sure WWE could just turn him face and no one would notice, they haven't really given the fans a reason to care whether he is heel or face. -
I would think a better thing to do would be throw streamers for all of the Japanese talent. They would probably all be flattered by it.
-
But both of those shows were in the Murphy Rec Center, and like I said they are used to long, technical matches. However, the two Chad Collyer vs. Matt Stryker matches which took place in other venues, were met with "boring" chants and overall fan disinterest.
-
I don't know if it is all from RF using footage of wrestlers and not paying them, but that is what Ian brought up at KOTDM.
-
I know Ian Rotten talked shit about RFVideo and got the crowd to chant "Fuck Rob Feinstein!" at the end of the King of the Deathmatch tournament in August.
-
Jim Ross calling an ECW match? Please get Josh Matthews, atleast he acknowledges that other wrestling promotions exist and can call some moves.
-
I think the Havana Pitbulls are Ricky Reyes, Rocky Romero, Pinoy Boy, and sometimes Bobby Quance.

I was watching Retribution: Round Robin Challenge II last night, and during the C.M. Punk vs. Homicide, Chris Lovey(sp?) never changed the tone of his voice, never sounded excited, and was more interested in announcing every single move pulled off instead of putting over the actual match and kickouts near the end. The other guy on the announce team is pretty good, because he actually talks about the angles and feuds in the matches. I say bring in Jeff Corwin or Eric Gargulio, put them with the other announcer and I'll be happy. And to say that RoH's announcers are better than IWA Mid-South's (which is what I guess you're talking about) is crazy, I'm actually entertained by the IWA announce team, they make a horrible match atleast decent with their constant bickering.
-
They are going to have to be very careful with this title and where they book defenses. I believe it was "Night of the Grudges" when the fans were completely shitting on the Chad Collyer vs. Matt Stryker match. I say they keep the title in the Murphy Rec Center where the fans are used to seeing long pure wrestling matches.

Should be a very good DVD, will it have a main feature about him like other DVDs, or simply be him talking about each feud leading into matches like the Flair DVD?
-
Ring of Honor Unscripted is a very good DVD. The whole tag team tournament and the Paul London vs. Michael Shane street fight that made London a star. Homicide vs. Steve Corino and Jay Briscoe vs. Quiet Storm are two very good extras.
-
I think Ring of Honor should bring back Jeff Corwin from IWC, atleast he sounded excited about the match and got me interested. The two announcers they have now sound like they are reading straight from a sheet of paper with no emotion.
-
I hope they start airing sometime soon, I will definitely check out the first show, and if there is some decent lucha libre action I'll probably stick with it.
-
Bill Goldberg was carried by Diamond Dallas Page to a decent match at Halloween Havoc '98, if DDP can carry him to a decent match then anyone should be able to. WWE should throw a couple of different people his way and see who works best with him.
-
I don't know if bringing this belt in is such a great idea for a promotion that is looking to grow, because most wrestling fans who go to independent shows are looking for fast-paced matches, this belt would likely produce more slow, technical matches which may turn off some new fans.

How can you people actually enjoy the skits and shit with the Chris Jericho and Christian/Trish Stratus and Lita angle. I find myself changing the channel during them more than any other time during RAW.
