If they limit the television time for the celebrities, this should be a fun show. Although I think we'll see FAR too much time dedicated to the appreciation of Vince McMahon.

www.sportsnet.ca is also a nice source to keep up with signings once free agency starts.

Best Buy lists the Ladder Match DVD as 540 minutes (9 hours), is that right?
-
One in the same.

I also have Sirius, I listen to Jason Smith just about every night. I just like the idea of a live sports talk show from 2:00 A.M.-6:00 A.M. on the east coast. What a job he has, sleep all day and talk sports all night.

Opening on Sportscenter - "Somewhere, Emilio Estevez is smiling."

Only a little over two weeks until the entry draft.

Kind of surprised Pronger and Selanne didn't kiss the cup.
-
I saw it last year at the Caniac Carnival. As for Teemu Selanne, he has just had one of his most productive seasons since 1998-1999. Retirement may tempt him, but he still has alot left in the tank.

Too bad Paul Kariya couldn't still be with Anaheim right now after all he did for the franchise.
-
I say Giguere.
-
That's it.

Anaheim won't let Ottawa have much of a heartbeat.
-
It's not over just yet.

Crowd should start a "Let's Go Phillips!" chant.

Doesn't get much worse than that. Ottawa had dominated this period and you let THAT happen?
-
My guess is Spezza won't be back in Ottawa next season.

Under Cowlishaw's proposed method of contraction, the Chicago Blackhawks and St. Louis Blues would likely be the first two teams to be contracted. I don't think the NHL's problems will be solved with more Sidney Crosby in the western conference. It'll be solved with more Sidney Crosby on Regis and Kelly or Saturday Night Live. The NHL needs that mainstream player who will make the rounds on all the talk shows to promote the league. I don't think Crosby has the charisma to get it done, Alexander Ovechkin has shown the ability to be funny but a Russian isn't the best person to market the sport around in the United States.

Neil has already elbowed Pronger in the back of the head and taken him out of the game. Where's the outrage?

I don't know about a dynasty, but they certainly have the offensive talent to be a force for the next few years. Anaheim will likely lose Giguere and/or Selanne this offseason, either one would be a major loss. It would hurt even worse if Giguere ends up with another team in the Pacific division, which the rumors seem to indicate may happen. The Kings' young forwards with an actual goalie in net, could be dangerous next season.

I've thought about that as well. It would provide much more protection for the player's faces, which would allow them to block more shots and hit a little more. It would also make it tougher to start a fight, so you only get two guys who really hate each other instead of these crappy "want to fight?" dances we see in blowouts.

Blue Jackets announced they would debut their new uniforms prior to the NHL draft. I wouldn't be surprised if the jerseys presented to each prospect selected in the first-round are the new jerseys. I'm most interested in which teams will debut a new logo, I've heard rumors that Dallas and Washington would change and possibly a few others.

ESPN just wanted to find another reason to talk about MLB, which means more time to talk about the New York Yankees. Any word on if the format has been changed to make it more television friendly? Will we be stuck with just highlight videos of each of the first-round picks?

Don't act like Ottawa is some type of innocent victim in this Chris Pronger deal. Outside of Sean Avery, Chris Neil is the biggest instigator in the NHL. He's already pulled his usual routine tonight.
