The Babe, MJ, Gretzky & Jim Brown What you said. If you wanted to add a woman, I guess Mia Hamm would work.
-
Rumor is that Doug Weight is headed back to St. Louis. $3.5 million a year for two years.
-
I wonder if Pronger will be traded today?
-
Kings sign Alyn McCauley, he'll add solid depth to their team. Lightning trade Darryl Sydor back to the Stars.
-
The people on the 'Canes message board would have something to say about that.
-
95% on this site. The number falls to around 75% when you include the entire internet.

I would really like to see the 'Canes try and address the right wing position in free agency. Right now, the top two lines have Mark Recchi and Justin Williams. After that, there is a STEEP drop to guys like Chad LaRose and Craig Adams. An additional center wouldn't hurt as well. Problem is, we only have about $5 million left to spend.
-
'Canes still have to re-sign Erik Cole and I have heard absolutely nothing about negotiations. 'Canes want him to sign a long-term deal, he wants a one-year deal.
-
Gerber a Senator? I guess it is better than the other two teams that had been talked about.
-
Rangers overpaid a little bit, I don't think Matt Cullen is worth $11 million over four years.
-
Aaron Ward and Matt Cullen are expected to test the free agent market. -Aaron Ward could return to the Detroit Red Wings. -Minnesota Wild and Toronto Maple Leafs have shown interest in Matt Cullen. Both guys said they would like to stay in Carolina, but they still wanted to see what else was out there for them.
-
I would still say they are in salary cap trouble. I don't know about the Kings, but the Hurricanes have nineteen players under contract for next season and their combined salaries are only $34 million. Bruins still have to fill out their roster and they certainly will be hindered with what amount they can pay each player.

Zdeno Chara -- 7.5 million Glen Murray -- $4.15 million Alexei Zhamnov -- $4.1 million Marc Savard -- $4 million Paul Mara -- $3 million Marco Sturm -- $2.4 million Brad Stuart -- $2.15 million P.J. Axelsson -- $1.85 million Tim Thomas -- $1.2 million Wayne Primeau -- $1.15 million Hannu Toivonen -- $532,000 Those are the players they have under contract for next season and each player's salary for next season. Totals $32,032,000.
-
They have a little over $30 million wrapped up in eleven players. That includes Chara and Savard.
-
I love this, all these moves make for a very fun day.
-
I like the John Grahame signing. We needed someone to backup Cam Ward and he is as good of a candidate as anyone.
-
Where did the Kings find the money to make these moves?
-
If my math is correct, the Carolina Hurricanes currently have $32,730,800 invested in players for next season. Jim Rutherford has set his personal cap limit at $40,000,000, which means they have $7,269,200 left. Erik Cole will probably want between $2 million and $3 million for next season. Doug Weight could very well be the odd-man out, I can't see any way that we could fit him on the roster with the money his talent demands.
-
Wonder if Jussi Markkanen will look for a trade? His value will never be higher than it is right now and, after his performance in the Stanley Cup Finals, I doubt he would want to return to a backup role.
-
I'm glad that is done, sounds like Erik Cole may be a little tougher to re-sign. The 'Canes have offered him various multi-year contracts, but Cole wants a one-year contract that will allow him to test the free agent market after next season.

It isn't my birthday, but it sure feels like it.

I think the NBA has lost it's collective mind. I almost want to believe that this offseason has been one major marketing ploy for the latest NBA video game.
-
I believe I remember that as well. From what I've seen of MLW, the man has a great mind for the business of professional wrestling. It is money management that is his problem.

Good, more journeyman goalies. That'll really help the Bolts out. That move makes a little more sense than this would:
