Frontiers of Honor was a great show, hopefully this will be just as successful.
-
"Anti-Hardcore" Mick Foley should be pretty entertaining. I doubt he could do anything to top the "Anti-Hardcore" promos he did in ECW.
-
Nothing like a 15+ year old picture of Demolition to advertise an ECW show. That's pretty funny. Someone will be very upset when they arrive at the Hammerstein Ballroom and Demolition isn't in attendance.
-
I'll tune in just to see if WWE turns Mick Foley heel, I think they may wait atleast one week. It will be really tough to find a way to turn Foley heel tonight.
-
But it's C.M. Punk, he can do no wrong!
-
Could you please only recall events that happened in the last two weeks and only project events that could happen in the next two weeks? WWE doesn't do months.
-
If C.M. Punk brings the "straight-edge" character into ECW, how long before he makes some type of remark about Eddie Guerrero? That would seem like a connection Vince McMahon couldn't help but exploit.

Tna's NEW "authority figure" is a former wwe booker !
JustJoe2k5 replied to a topic in TNA Wrestling
He has zero creative control and is virtually an mouthpiece for the promotion. Gabe completely runs the creative side of things. ROH doesn't need Cornette but he's an welcome addition to the roster for the CZW/ROH storyline. TNA needs a facelift in the on screen management position, but don't place Cornette on the booking team. He'd actually fit in as he's old school like Jarrett. TNA has a problem, they rely on Jarrett style booking by using ROH's template. Cornette wouldn't fix the problems, he would only augment it. That being said, Cornette is a master promo machine and he can do anything. I perfer he skips the masturbatory anti-wwe promo because it's already overkill. Everyone seemed to cream themselves when Joey Styles did an anti-WWE promo just last week, so I don't think it would be overkill if Jim Cornette did the same type of promo in TNA. Atleast Cornette would actually mean what he said. -
Ship the reunited Hardy Boyz over to ECW. The fans will like Jeff Hardy because he will kill himself for their enjoyment and they'll like Matt Hardy because of his ability to actually wrestle.
-
It would've been physically impossible. I was speechless at how horrible that entire segment between Jeff Jarrett and Sting was. The crowd hated it, I hated it, Sting used catchphrases that were hip ten years ago, and the entire segment felt like something I would see in WCW fives year ago. I like Sting but I think it may be time to call it quits, he seems like the Mick Foley of TNA.

The main word is COULD, some of the positive things that people believe could happen are just as likely to occur as the negative things you believe could happen. Don't be a hypocrite and say that everyone is being blindly enthusiastic when you are being blindly pessimistic. -
Detroit wins in five games. New Jersey wins in six games. San Antonio wins in six games. Phoenix wins in seven games. I think we're headed towards another boring Detroit/San Antonio championship series.

Alright, so Finlay is awesome and most of us love the guy.

It isn't the first idiotic stunt the WWE had pulled and it won't be the last, so there isn't much sense in complaining about it. The five or six people that actually watch Smackdown may hate it, but I could care less. -

This should be interesting. Jim Cornette could possibly bring some of the old-school booking that could make TNA seem like a true alternative to WWE. -
"Good garbage wrestler"? That doesn't even make sense. Someone doesn't need to be talented to put on "garbage" matches. A performer without talent is hardly someone I would consider "good" or a "wrestler". So, Balls Mahoney is simply a person that brings that same type of talent to the table that any homeless guy on the street could. The new ECW would be better off without him.
-
That's right.
-
This is terrible.
-
I believe it went, "J-E-Double F J-A-Double R-E-Double T is F-Double I-Double R-Double E-D, FIRED!"

Joel Gertner needs to be Joey's co-annoucer plain and simple unless WWE can get Cyruss, but I think Cyruss is doing the teaching thing still and is done with wrestling at the moment. Oh and Joel needs to open the shows with his "poems". Oh the good laughs with those poems. Wouldn't it be incredible stupid to give Joey a co-announcer after he just did a big promo about not needing a co-announcer to "hold him back"? I agree, which means they'll do it. Is there any possible way we could shorten this quote?
-
I could do that, but the show is so terrible that I can't even force myself to watch it in the first place. Doesn't help that every time I switch to the USA Network to see what's happening Vince McMahon is ALWAYS on the screen.
-
Easy answer, no one. Jeff Jarrett was one of the main factors in the creation of TNA, without him TNA doesn't even exist in the first place.
-
Erik Cole left the door open that if the Hurricanes were able to advance to the Eastern Conference Finals and possibly the Stanley Cup Finals, he would try to return. Probably won't make much of an impact like he did in the regular season, but his presence could inspire the rest of the team.
-
I know their presence makes it feel alot more like ECW, but I honestly have no desire to see guys like Axl Rotten and Balls Mahoney back on my television.
-
It won't take long for WWE to start wanting to send some of their guys into ECW to "invade." The more successful it is, the quicker Vince McMahon will want to get himself involved in the show.
-
ECW will be decent for a little while, but professional wrestling as a whole hasn't done anything in quite a while to get me excited.
