I'd love to see the Angels get past the Yankees, just so I don't have to see them in the ALCS again. And a loss in the divisional series could finally show Steinbrenner that it is time for a change.

Good to see LT is finally back on track after two less-than-stellar games.

Ring of Honor can't continually have World title feuds come down to a series of matches with the challenger trying to figure out how to beat the champion. It got old with Homicide/Samoa Joe, got ridiculous with C.M. Punk/Samoa Joe, and American Dragon/Roderick Strong probably won't be any better. I know Ring of Honor has much better wrestling than WWE, but don't try and say they know how to push talent when they seemingly use the same formula every time.

While I don't like the chance of the Carolina Hurricanes going far this year, I really like their chances in the future as they are an all-around young team with alot of good players.

Stuart Scott was injured on April 3, 2002, at the New York Jets training camp while reporting for ESPN when a machine that throws footballs for receivers to practice on hit him in the left eye with a football, requiring Scott to undergo surgery of the cornea Credit -- Wikipedia

Was that guy who just let the ball slip through his hands one of those young receivers expected to step up in Atlanta?

It's almost amazing to think that over the offseason people were saying Daunte Culpepper made Randy Moss better than he really was. Haven't seen the games, but from everyone's reactions it is obviously the other way around.

A look ahead towards college basketball...
JustJoe2k5 replied to therealworldschampion's topic in Sports
Boston College Duke Georgia Tech Maryland North Carolina North Carolina State Virginia Wake Forest I would say that all eight of those teams are pretty good and could be considered among the top tier of college basketball teams, while the only "jobbers" in the conference are Clemson, Florida State, Miami, and Virginia Tech. I think what sets the ACC apart from other conferences is the atmosphere, nothing in the Big East can match Duke/UNC in intensity. Speaking of Duke, I expect them to have a really good season this year. I've seen Greg Paulus and Josh McRoberts in the various all-american games and they already seem to have a chemistry together. In my opinion, Josh McRoberts could easily be the next star in college basketball. -
Ask WWE if they felt the entire move from USA to Spike TV in '00 hurt their product. WWE likes to point to the move as the point where their ratings began to decrease, and through the years that has directly effected the quality of the product. Now, just a few years later and with seemingly nothing gained, they move back to USA with less of an audience and very little hope for regaining an audience in the near future. Should WWE fans expect a turnaround in the overall product, or just a few weeks of above-average storylines before going back to the same old stuff?

Why does Jim Ross always think Home Depot is the only place that sells ladders?

Double Post, sorry.

Lita's breasts have less support than the Iraqi War at a Green Day concert.

Wouldn't surprise me if they had Triple H be the one who attacked Flair because he didn't like him aligning with his most hated rival Shawn Michaels. WWE will probably have it be Flair faking the whole thing only to come out and turn on Shawn Michaels, becoming Masters' manager.
-
The fact that they stood across from one another in the ring and waited for the bell to ring in a street fight already takes some credibility away from it.
-
I think you could've taken a chainsaw to Flair's body and produced less blood than that.

Yes, because negative pushes have ALWAYS worked in the past. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Just look at Sting's transformation in '96. That seems to be what Matt Hardy's new character is closest to, so it would only be fit for them to build to it in a similar fashion. I'd be interested in seeing it.

Had my Yahoo fantasy draft earlier tonight. I think it turned out pretty well and I was especially happy when I had the #1 overall pick and was able to get Tomlinson. QB - Trent Green WR - Torry Holt WR - Laveranues Coles WR - Lee Evans RB - LaDainian Tomlinson RB - Carnell Williams TE - Dallas Clark K - Ryan Longwell DEF - Baltimore BN QB - Joey Harrington BN WR - T.J. Houshmandzadeh BN RB - Ronnie Brown BN TE - Marcus Pollard BN K - Mike Nugent BN DEF - New York Jets

I envy anyone who has FSN Pacific as the past few weeks they have been having marathons of 2004 Pac-10 games.

ESPN will be having their Fantasy Draft Special Thursday night for those who care. I really wish ESPN would talk about this past weekend's preseason action instead of continueing the Terrell Owens' talk.

Considering this is PWG, I look for a couple of local talents to score some upsets. Good to see Bryan Danielson's hiatus from wrestling lasted about as long as a Terry Funk retirement.

Considering I haven't seen the product in a year or two, I had no clue how they built up Austin Aries to his title reign. I've never even seen Austin Aries wrestle, but if that's how they booked him then that's how I would like to see them book the next guy. I just think Ring of Honor needs a Samoa Joe-like title reign to add a little stability to the top of the card.

Rey Mysterio's son suffering "emotional distress"
JustJoe2k5 replied to UZI Suicide's topic in The WWE Folder
Has hell frozen over? Vince Russo has to be back on the payroll for a match like this to happen. I'm guessing WWE will try and salvage some credibility by having Dominic help the eventual winner, thus he would be with the "father" he wants. -
From what I heard on the Wrestling Observer last night, Kazarian approached a writer with a few ideas about his character and the writer simply replied, "Aren't you here for the dark match?" Obviously, this didn't make Kazarian optimistic about his future in the company.

Was it his decision to start wearing those tights? I thought he just did it for his WWE matches. I am a fan of his character and his in-ring work, but he just doesn't look right wearing those little tights.
