I saw a list that also included Owen Hart in it. Even worse, they listed the year of his death as 1996.

About what I expected from the Today Show appearance, Vince McMahon should have expected it as well.

Although it hasn't been mentioned recently, there is a chance that Shawn Marion could be traded to the Charlotte Bobcats for the #8 pick in the draft. I would suppose this will only happen if the Kevin Garnett trade doesn't happen. If the deal isn't made, I'd like Corey Brewer at #8 and Marco Belinelli at #22. We need more shooters.

That's crap. Although I would have to believe we'll eventually see a "Rise and Fall of WCW" DVD. Perhaps WWE wants to wait and see if they can work a deal with Sting to have him involved with the feature? You can't have a WCW DVD without some type of input from Sting.

That's true. Jericho might be the only one who would come close but he still had a damn good career outside Benoit matches. I mean for any future best of or wrestler collection releases down the road. There would be plenty of stuff for a Chris Jericho DVD outside of Chris Benoit. His feud with Juventud Guerrera, his feud with Dean Malenko, his "feud" with Bill Goldberg, his debut in WWE, his feud with Chyna, his Intercontinental title reign, etc. I'm surprised a Chris Jericho DVD hasn't been released before and I hope one is eventually released. If John Cena can warrant five DVDs, they can fill two DVDs with Chris Jericho and not mention Chris Benoit.

It'll be fun to speculate which matches will be featured on the DVD. Hopefully there is a nice selection of cruiserweight matches not featured on other releases. What sucks is we'll likely miss the Billy Kidman/Rey Mysterio vs. Chris Benoit/Dean Malenko vs. Perry Saturn/Raven feud that essentially carried the undercard of WCW through '99.

And then the move onto the next match. What if they edited him out and it looked like Orlando was wrestling the invisible man? If they wanted to take it to the furthest level. Don't blur the wrestler, but edit out his name at the start of the match and any mention of his name throughout the course of the match. Simply have him as a nameless face.

Quick look through some of the DVDs at Shopzone and his matches have been removed from the lists. His matches against M.V.P. at WrestleMania and Backlash are no longer listed.

I'd hate to be the guy that has to blur him out of WWE history.

Has it been confirmed whether Chris Benoit was called by his wife sometime over the weekend, which is why he went home? If that in fact happened, it would give the "Nancy did it" thought some credibility.

They could have died of natural causes and the media would still take the opportunity to take their shots at the wrestling industry.

I would say it's the most shocking death since Owen Hart. Every death was a tragic event, but guys like Curt Hennig and Eddie Guerrero had personal problems that led to their deaths. Chris Benoit always seemed like one of the genuine nice guys in professional wrestling, just like Owen Hart. I never heard of any type of drug problems with him. It'll be interesting to hear the details as they are released and perhaps will get some idea of why this had to happen.

He also said he had dinner with Benoit and his family one week ago. Very odd.
