Crazy shot from Bowen Great game but what a flop fest
-
Damn. Stern really made Patrick look like a bitch. About time that Patrick tried to come hard at someone and got smacked down. David Stern is my hero He knew that the only way he was going to go over Patrick was to be a bigger dick than Patrick is. but Then on PTI he got his point across in a calm and collected manner and IMO took Tony and Wilbon to school
-
Once again he came through, seen him do it many times for the Lakers
-
The last few minutes of the Jazz/GS have been pure entertainment It's like watching a pick-up game between people that don't know how to play Turnovers, missed lay-ups, mad scrambles, and chuckers
-
The NBA has had this rule for years and every damn time someone breaks it they get suspended So why are so many bitches crying about it now? Get over it
-
Besides Vince being dumb, so are the Nets coaching staff It happened last year against the Heat as well. They play even for 3 1/2 quarters then for whatever reason they always decide to have Vince be the playmaker instead of Kidd and he turns it over or takes bad shots and the Nets lose the game. All four loses to the Heat last year played out like that.
-
They are. Bowen and Ginobli are both despised by a lot of the NBA and are considered two of the dirtiest players in the game. Most players feel that Bowen goes out of his way to try to injure people. I can't answer why, but look at what happened to Kobe this season. Two suspensions for essentially nothing. If he did what Bowen does on a nightly basis he'd miss 50 games a season. Kobe got what he deserved, he has no reason to swing his arms back like that

Please, let's not get carried away. This was one of those call us "dirty",let me show what dirty really is plays by Horry. Uncalled for, but I bet that was what he was thinking.

No Finley, Fisher and Cassell are on my short list of players who I expect to hit every shot they take in the 4th quarter

Great game for Mikki Moore, too bad Vince's craptacular play cost the Nets the game. As a Clipper fan I saw Darius Miles, Odom, Q Richardson, Andre Miller, Chris Wilcox and others let go by the team and honestly the only move that dumbfounded me was them letting Mikki Moore go two seasons ago. He was a great energy guy and a good back-up for Brand and Kaman.

by Dave Meltzer The finish of tonight's TNA main event, where it appeared going off the air that Kurt Angle had won the NWA title in a three-way, will end up resulting in an announcement the title will be held up. The announcement will be made at the first hour of the Impact tapings tomorrow night. This will set the stage for the split. The NWA title will return to the auspices of the NWA. TNA will create the TNA heavyweight title which will be decided in a King of the Mountain match at Slammiversary on 6/17 in Nashville.

issue 51 recap Note: To read the whole issue on the net go to www.myspace.com/comicbooks and add the site as a friend COUNTDOWN #51 Look to the Skies Inks by Jimmy Palmiotti, Pencils by Jesus Saiz and written by Paul Dini Now The lab of Desaad’s lab on Apokolips Desaad is visited by Darkseid who tells him, Desaad, that he sees “the time fast approaching when existence itself shall be recreated and Darkseid shall be the architect.” Looking down at a number of miniatures that resemble DC heroes and villains, Darkseid picks up on that resembles the Joker’s Daughter, Duela and sets her back down. Back on (one of the) Earths Duela, visiting from a neighboring Earth, is in a bar and grabs a girl and jumps out the window in an attempt to kidnap her for 10 million dollars. Once outside the window Duela opens up a large balloon that is strapped to her back. As the two are floating down the balloon is shot and starts to lose air. Duela drops the girl to save herself and lands on a roof top. When Duela looks up she notices that the girl had been caught by the Red Hood (Jason Todd) and that it was the Red Hood that shot her balloon. Duela grabs the remains of the balloon and jumps off of the roof top, using the balloon now as a parachute. Red Hood fires at Duela, cutting the chute just above her hands causing her to drop. Duela grabs onto a flagpole and swings herself up onto a rooftop and takes off, only to be followed by Red Hood. At a Hospital close by Mary Marvel is being discharged after coming out of her coma. Mary is told that her bills have been paid for by Freddy Freeman. Mary is then handed a note left by Freddy telling her “Don’t try and find me.” Mary leaves the hospital and says “Shazam” but she does not change, instead it starts to rain. He turns and walks away telling herself that she is powerless, not helpless. Rogue Heat Wave answers his apartment door to the Trickster who is standing there with a bag of pretzels and a case of beer. Thinking that the pretzels are a trick, Heat Wave burns the bag only to find out that the trick was the case of beer which pops all over him. Trickster enters the apartment and goes downstairs where he and Heat Wave start to talk about the Flash and how the line between Rogues and the Flash have become blurred and the Trickster and Pied Pier were practically Flash’s sidekicks. Unknown to then, they were being watched by rat which is now being called back by the Pied Pier. “We’ll have to play this carefully…if the Rogues really are planning something, I can’t let Trickster get in my way. But for now, let’s have another tune. No one wants to be the first guest at a party. The chase between Duela and Red Hood continues. Duela turns around and shoots a Spray-Taser which is blocked and sent back to her knocking her to the ground. As Duela looks up she notices that it wasn’t Red Hood that she tried to taser. Meanwhile, the Red Hood is handing the girl Duela tried to kidnap over to a police officer when he hears Duela scream and runs off towards her. In an alleyway, Duela hops up onto the ladder of a fire escape only to have it shot out, sending her back to the ground. As she looks up she sees the same figure with a gun, “This world is not yours. Your presence in it is not tolerated. The penalty is death.” Just as the figure is about to fire, it is attacked by the Red Hood and revealed to be a Monitor. When Jason asks “What are you?” the Monitor tells him “The Multiverse’s only hope” and turns and fires on Duela. Jason hits the Monitor who hits back in return sending Jason to the ground. The Monitor then pulls his gun and is about to shot Jason when another Monitor arrives and shots the first Monitor’s gun out of his hand. M2: This is a gross violation of your jurisdiction, brother. M1: Tell that to the World Jumpers, the Death Cheaters and the other criminals who defile the Multiverse. M2: I’ll tell it to our society. You have acted without authorization. M1: I need none to eradicate vermin. I’m sure the others will agree with me. The first Monitor phases out leaving the second Monitor behind. The Monitor turns and looks at Duela and Red Hood and says he is sorry and then leaves himself. Red Hood goes over to Duela to find that she is dead. Out in Space, the Source Wall A Monitor arrives at the Source Wall in a protective bubble and starts to talk to the wall. M: There is rising tension in the Multiverse. We who monitor its borders have felt this. It has created unrest even among our ranks. Why is this happening? SW: Great Disaster (written in flame) M: Then the end time that was foretold is fast approaching. You must tell me more. What is going to happen? How can it be prevented? What is the solution to the Great Disaster? SW: Ray Palmer (written in flame) Countdown 50 10 page preview http://blog.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseacti...logID=263499908

Spurs-Warriors would be ugly though Spurs won a game by 35 and had a 15-20 point lead throughout another game. And that was during the Warriors hot streak
-
So the fact that Golden State beat Utah by 24 in their last meeting doesn't concern you? or that GS controlled the previous game for three quarters until Utah made a late run to escape with a win?

Van Gundy has resigned according to ESPN

Suns over Spurs in 7 GS over whoever in 6 Pistons over Bulls in 7 Nets over Cavs in 6

Big reasons why the play-offs are so drawn out these days - ESPN and TNT splitting the games. If Turner still had the exclusive cable rights, they could show 4 games some nights between TNT/TBS. -Also since the move to ABC, the first game of the Finals has a set date in June(Apparently done so the foreign press can plan ahead). Before, the Finals began as quickly as possible depending on how the play-offs played out. This move also explain why the first round went to seven. Because in the first year of the new TV deal the Best of 5 first round took just as long as the current Best of 7 format. MY GOD was that year freaking horrible

We have reached the end of a highly enjoyable and fun experience Week 52 recap (which doesn't do the book justice) 52 Week 52 A Year in the Life Written by Geoff Johns, Grant Morrison, Greg Rucka and Mark Waid. Art Breakdowns by Keith Giffen Pencils by Mike McKone, Justiniano, Eddy Barrows, Chris Batista, Pat Olliffe and Darick Robertson Week 0, Day 0 Rip, Booster, the head of Red Tornado and the remains of Skeets are traveling in time to a year ago when the Multiverse was created. Rip explains to Booster that when all of the Earths collapsed back into one another after “Conner Kent sacrificed his life to save our reality” creating New Earth that “in a cosmic act of self-preservation, as you just saw, it began replicating”. There are 52 identical Earths in 52 identical cosmos all occupying the same space and each on their own vibrational plane. What Red Tornado saw was the same thing that Rip had seen being the creation of the multiverse and his computer brain had mapped it. A giant Mr. Mind appears behind the Time Sphere. He tells Rip and Booster that he will be the dominant life form not only on Earth but on all Earths. Mr. Mind then regurgitates the Phantom Zone towards the Time Sphere looking to trap Rip and Booster in the Phantom Zone. Supernova then appears and is hit with the blast, from Mr. Mind saving the Time Sphere. Rip then turns to Booster and informs him that the technology in the Supernova suit is able to deflect and restore the Phantom Zone to its proper dimensional plane. When questioned by Booster about Supernova, Rip tells him – and Supernova takes off his mask – that it is his ancestor Daniel Carter in the suit. Rip explains to Booster how Daniel got imprisoned in “endless time loop of 52 seconds stolen from Earth’s timeline” and that he moved the time loop into the time stream in which they are at. Rip also informs Booster that he gave Daniel the Supernova suit because “it’s keyed to the Carter genetic code”. Mr. Mind then starts to alter his vibrational frequency to try and tear the Time Sphere apart. Rip has Red Tornado match Mr. Mind’s frequency for an Earth jump which ends up taking the Time Sphere and Mr. Mind to Earth 17. Upon their arrival Mr. Mind starts “eating years and events from this universe’s history altering the Earth. Red Tornado makes another Earth jump leaving the present Metropolis in shambles with knights riding on big dog like creatures. Next they arrive at Earth 3 and spot the JLA. Mr. Mind starts eating and altering events causing the creation of the Crime Society. Earth 10 is shown with the Freedom Fighters, Earth 50 is the Wildstorm Universe, Earth 5 is the Marvel Family Universe, Earth 22 is the Kingdom Come universe, Earth 2 is Earth 2 and Earth 4 is the Charleston universe. Rip then informs Daniel and Booster that they need to trap Mr. Mind because if he spawns where they are at that “Hyperflies will devour the consciousness of every living thing, and leave all of creation to rot in mindless darkness forever.” Booster then starts to doubt himself and what he can do when what little is left of Skeets tells him that he has “the utmost faith in” you. Booster quickly pulls himself together and grabs a hold of Skeets and tells Rip “One thing I do know is where to find the kind of energy source we need” and then jumps in time. Once Booster is gone, Rip finishes gearing up and jumps in time himself. Booster makes his arrive on New Earth the day after the first Crisis. He appears behind Blue Beetle looking for his amulet in the debris of some ruined buildings. Booster tells Beetle that he bets “it turns up just where you least expect it”. When Beetle turns back around Booster is gone. At the house of the Sivana Family, Sivana is gathering his family together to get into the Suspendium Globe to save them from what Sivana suspects will happen. Rip then appears and shoots Sivana in the leg and takes off with the Suspendium Globe himself. Both Rip and Booster arrive back at the Time Sphere. Rip uses the Suspendium Globe to attract the Hyperflies as “artificial time. This stuff works like crack cocaine on a hyperfly”. Rip and Booster then use the Beetle Amulet to give the Supernova suit an extra power source to get Mr. Mind’s attention by creating a giant flash and then they disappear. The Time Sphere returns to Rip’s lab at which time Rip starts to work on Skeets. Mr. Mind then makes his presence but he is much smaller upon his arrival starts to grow. Rip hands Skeets to Booster and tells him that he has reinforced his shell with Suspendium to help imprison him. Booster jumps towards Mr. Mind with Skeets half opened and slams Skeets closed with Mr. Mind trapped inside. Rip tells Booster that “The faster and harder it moves against the Time Stream, the more Chronal Energy the Suspendium will pick up. Move it with enough force and it becomes the only thing that can save the Multiverse…a Time Bomb that will end the threat of Mr. Mind”. Booster takes Skeets and throws him into the open hole in time telling Daniel to go long. Daniel/Supernova jumps in after it and heads back in time; “Danny, Rip’s calculated the exact time and place Mind has to end up! While passing Week 2 Day 1 it is shown where Mr. Mind entered Skeets in Magnus’ lab. Supernova continues back and grabs a hold of Skeets and spikes him into the ground in the desert on Week 1 Day 1. Having heard the noise of the “Time Bomb”, Sivana goes to see what it was. As he approaches the crater of the explosion, Sivana notices Mr. Mind and picks him places him in a sealed tube. Supernova then pops back out through the time hole and into Rip’s lab. Rip tells Daniel and Booster that no one can know what happened. Booster: Hell with that. Modesty’s for the forgotten. I’m gonna make damn sure that everyone knows who rescued their asses. Rip: Is there not enough credit in all of time and space to make you happy? Will you not rest until history finally recognizes that Booster Gold saved the--- Booster: Not me. Skeets. It’s not fair. He ought to be remembered. He was my best friend. Rip: Is. While I was reinforcing him with Suspendium, I copied his mem-self into a leftover responsometer. Its crude—but we both know who can do the full restoration. Rip Booster and Supernova then get into the Time Sphere and enter the Time Stream showing off the Multiverse and its different worlds. Week 52, Day 6 Checkmate HQ: A Task Force is proposed to the creation of capturing Teth-Amon Metropolis, Steelworks: Natasha: Did they say what happened to Infinity Inc? No one’s seen them… John: You ask me, Nat they’re long gone. Kahndaq: A hand is seen reaching down for the Amulet of Isis which is sitting in some flowers. Washington DC, Department of Metahuman Affairs: Nemesis and Agent Prince are in Sarge Steel’s office. Sarge: …they’re tagging him “the Most Wanted Mortal in the World”. Someone will find Black Adam but I pray that someone isn’t us. In an Arabic city you see a pair of legs with crocodile boots on. Golden Rule Preschool, Sheffield Alabama: A huge fiery hole is in the center of a class room floor with the teacher showing two men a stack of pictures that all of her students drew just before the fiery hole happened. The spectral forms of Ralph and Sue are shown floating by the pit. Sue looks at Ralph and says “Honey, your nose is twitching… Magnus’s House: Magnus is working on Skeets and tells Booster that before he fixed him, he had made a backup copy of his records and that he will remember everything except for the past year. Skeets is closed up and back to normal. Week 52, Day 7 Gotham City: A razor is shown scrapping off the question mark on the Bat-Signal and replaced with the Bat-symbol. The person fixing the Bat-Signal is shown to be Renee in the Question outfit. Meanwhile inside of Kate’s apartment, Kate is being visited by a doctor. She is told that she is recovering quickly but it will still take time. When asked if she remembers how she was stabbed or who brought her to the ER, Kate tells her “no”. The doctor leaves the apartment and when Kate closes the door her apartment lights up from the light of the Bat-signal. Kate looks out her window and sees Renee/Question standing by the Bat signal. Renee: I have a question. Are you ready? THE END.

David Stern needs to use his godlike powers and veto the result. He should now pick the MVP

It's not the fact that Dirk couldn't dominate the Warriors, it's the fact that he didn't do ANYTHING, and just played like someone who didn't have any confidence or fire. Like, he never even worked hard to get position on offense, the a defender would front him and one would shade from behind and he'd just stand there with his hand up, STAND THERE, no effort to GET THE BALL IN HIS FUCKING HANDS. I don't care if he misses shots or isn't able to singlehandedly win games, he has to at least make an effort to be the man. Fuck him, that was a pathetic fucking display tonight. And props to you Ripper for calling this all along Exactly. If Dirk had gone 3-25 then you can live with it, but he didn't even try. Leena and myself picked the Warriors also, so time to gloat

I know, instead of being excited and happy for the Warriors I' am absolutely disgusted and ashamed of the Mavs performance
