College Hoops: NCAA Tournament Rounds 1 and 2

1st dunk was a "glorified lay-up" although to be fair she might have gotten it clean if she hadn't been undercut by the opposing player. 2nd dunk was good enough for me. However the overhyping of them is sicking. One woman dunking isn't going to to do anything to bring interest to the game, so stop it already. -
According to Neilsen's website, there is no difference between 1 national point and 1 cable point... Each 1.0 represents a little over a million people watching. Actually What happens is that a cable rating is released first(which is the number the websites report) however at the end of the week Nielsen releases the final number as a national rating Example: Raw got a 4.0 cable rating last week which is a 3.3 national rating -WWE ENTERTAINMENT (WWE RAW) USA MON 10:00 PM 3.4 rating 3,717,000 homes 5,137,000 viewers - WWE ENTERTAINMENT (WWE RAW) USA MON 9:00 PM 3.2 rating 3,514,000 homes 5,003,000 viewers

Nash is the MVP by far, the reason being is that not only is he a good player but he makes everyone around him better which IMO is the definition of Valuable in team sports. Anyway I must agree that Wade is the best individual player in the league. What separates him from guys like Kobe, T-Mac and Vince is that he can't shoot 3's to save his life, therefore he never settles for shots and keeps attacking. The only reason I don't like Wade more is that he is easily the biggest cry baby in the league, he bitches every single time he thinks he gets fouled.

JLU Season 3 starts September 17th
Kurt Angle Mark replied to Kurt Angle Mark's topic in Television & Film
Apparently the next JLU episodes have been pushed back to mid-April. CN is showing anime movies the next few weeks. I personally have enjoyed the episodes this season. The two Flash episodes have been as good as anything they have done. I really like last week's as well, only "Patriot Act" was a disappointment to me. Remember that the writers went into last season thinking that was the final one so they gave the best they had. This season they are just trying to use as many characters as they can and have some fun, therefore the storylines aren't as deep as last year. -
Clippers rebound after that Suns ass kicking by beating the AI-less 76ers 99-89 Also my theory on why the Suns are the Spurs BITCHES is because Parker is faster and quicker and therefore can out Nash Steve Nash. Bill Simmons monthly NBA rankings is up http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story...ht&lid=tab3pos2 Good stuff as always

From Bill Simmons I have an announcement to make: "Are you ready for Maggette?" has replaced "Who wants to sex Mutombo?" as my favorite NBA urban legend. Background Info from wikipedia "The most famous quote attribued to Mutombo is probably, "Who wants to sex Mutombo?" — a catch phrase that he allegedly developed as a pick-up line during his Georgetown days. Supposedly, the phrase stuck amid much success with it for Mutombo, and use of it has continued to this day. Although it is arguably chauvinistic, the phrase has achieved cult status among basketball fans of both genders."

Crap I thought that UCLA would be a great under the radar pick to make it the Final Four, now everyone is picking them to go, which is strange since no one talked about them the whole year. I bet UCLA and Gonzaga switched seeds because of the way they played in their conference tournaments. Gonzaga played three down to the last play games against three scrub teams at home while UCLA destroyed everyone in their path. I put my bracket in the hands of West Virginia since I got them going to the Final Four

2004 and they added the "seeding the 1 seed" game in its place. They are coming back next year but the designations will now be based on the location of the regional round. example: Lets say the round is in Seattle it could be called the Northwest regional. In Phoenix the Southwest regional, In Syracuse the Northeast regional etc...

Some interesting stuff from Andy Katz concerning the selection process from an inside source Found it funny that I had the exact same feeling about Utah State while watching the game. They looked like a team that belonged in the tournament.

Since no one talks about any team out West (other than Gonzaga) All I got to say is don't sleep on UCLA, this team is tough and great defensively. They are getting healthy at the right time and I wouldn't be surprised if they won the whole thing.

Clippers beat the Bulls 107-96 I love the line-up the Clippers are using Starters: Cassell Mobley Ross Brand Kaman Bench: Maggette Radmanovic Livingston Add Rebraca to the bench and that should be the line-up for the rest of the season

From the latest Bill Simmons' column "Q: I think I have finally come up with an analogy for the New York Knicks … the WWE's Spanish announcer's table. Every week they find a new way to destroy that freaking thing. Just like Knick fans, the Spanish announcers know it is coming, but there is nothing they can do but wait, watch and carry on. But instead of Triple H giving Mick Foley a pedigree through the table, it is Isiah for Marbury, Curry or Francis. -- Tony Cortina, Rochester, N.Y. SG: And so it's done. They aren't the Knicks anymore … they're the New York Spanish Announcer's Table. Done and done."
